I came here as part of a wine bus tour. This was our second stop and my favorite of the three wineries we visited. When we arrived, one of the owners gave a brief history of the vineyard and then provided a description of each of the wines in the tasting. We sat at large tables and the tasting flight was pre-poured before we arrived. They also served packaged charcuterie meals that included prosciutto, mozzarella, and crackers. Not the highest quality, but still a nice touch. After the tasting, we bought bottles of wine. I loved their La Tavola wine which had a unique, juicy sweetness. Note that the prices are higher if you drink the wine at the vineyard rather than buying to go. They have a second floor balcony with a gorgeous view of the sprawling vineyards below.

Phenomenal food! Great spot

The Quick: Old school Italian hospitality at this beautiful villa esc vineyard on the North Fork. The best food I've had at a vineyard, and I've been to most of them at this point. Their antipasto platter is fantastic and even had some vegan options. Go for the reserve wine it's the best and worth the extra price tag.

The service here was great. We did a wine tour and I ended up purchasing some rosé which is unusual for me. The La Tavola was my favorite and while it was lightly sweet it was also crisp. The ladies were attentive while my table ordered a couple of things. I was also offered a port sample but it was too sweet for me. We were walked through the different wines we tasted and they offered water crackers. I love the views here as well. I have another favorite next to Duck Walk.

Beautiful lighting fixtures.

Didn't stop for the wine, needed a unique gift from their gift shop. The staff is friendly and willing to answer questions you may have about the vineyard. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the main room is spacious, yet warm and rustic. Purchased a few items for friends. The bathrooms are clean, too!

What a beautiful vineyard. I was in awe of this place. The barrel made tables and bar were so cool. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside because there was a great breeze and we wanted to take it all in. A beautiful view of the vineyard and sitting around the table with family drinking wine. What more could you ask for? ... Don't answer that. Haha The wine was very good. Out of the three vineyards we went to this was my favorite. Their red wine was so tasty and smooth. Even my brother who doesn't drink wine had a few glasses. We did buy a few snacks. Pretzels, onion dip, sweet potato chips, and another spread (can't remember). Everything was good. Well the sweet potato chips were bland. The waitress brought over a package of crackers in case we wanted them. Well we didn't ask for them nor did we open them yet she charged them to the tab! I thought that was pretty crappy. So beware of the extra $$ they are trying to make by dropping items off. Be sure to say no and have them removed or you will pay for them. Not cool. I would drop them by a star but their wine was awesome. I didn't want to put the vineyard down for bad business practice that I will assume the waitress did on her own.

Amazing place and the inside is incredible. Probably the nicest winery we have been to so far. We did a walk up and got lucky ish and snagged a table on the back patio. I say ish because you can't have flights back there. Not sure why but we made do. So I had a glass of the La Fontana. A really nice red. A little dry. Delicious. Added some onion dip and chips to nibble on and all is good.

Phenomenal winery. Extremely huge and very spacious, a lot of seating area indoor and outside. Amazing views. Many delicious wines but my favorite was La Tavola delicious sweet wine. You wouldn't be disappointed. I also enjoy the crackers, cheese and salami snack pack. Service was amazing. Staff where extremely informative and friendly. Thank you every one for such an amazing experience.

As part of my super bowl tradition i went to the North Fork of Long Island to drink wine and forget my team isn't playing. I have driven by Raphael a few times. Well more than a few. So when i stopped here. I thought i had been here before. But i was mistaken. The winery is beautiful. The room is very big and has a great feel to it Our waiter was super nice. Got some yummy cheese and crackers. Tried the Malbec. Not my favorite. However the La Fontana was good. And got a bottle. Overall. A good experience

We did a wine tasting here. The entire winery is gorgeous! The wine is probably the best in Long Island.

We finally were able to visit Raphael Vineyard in the Summertime. Usually closed due to a Private party or a Wedding. They have a beautiful outdoor with perfect view. The wines are okay but nothing really jumped out at us. I would definitely recommend this place for it's atmosphere.

IMO, that may just be the best (if less scenic/festive...) way to visit a winery!! No lines, no crowds, and TONS of attention/inside info from the knowledgeable bartender (orig. from Guatemala, wish I remembered her name!!) My brother, S.I.L. and I each ordered flights... So many great choices!! I'm a white/rose fan, and I definitely had plenty of options. We shared cheese and crackers, and learned a lot not only about the winery and its history, but about the whole region as well. I loved the "insider" info!! There are many other places like that on the North Fork, just follow the traffic. DO come here if you know about wine, want to LEARN about wine, want to drink well-crafted wine and enjoy a quieter, more civilized and intimate setting. Peconic Cellar Door occupies the space that formerly housed Provisions and Ingredients and shoulders up to Winemaker Studio. It's a small space but seems airy. White dominates and custom made tables allow for various configurations; You can get a few bistro-like four tops or join them for one, longer communal table. There is, of course, a bar. It's very tidy. But where this place shines is with their wines and the interaction with the winemakers. This afternoon, we had the pleasure of chatting with Robin, co-owner of Peconic Cellar Door and winemaker of Salt Bird Cellars wines. As the actual wine-maker, she was able to give us a deeper appreciation of the entire process and of the wine itself. We also shot the breeze about craft beer, Australian hops, the "agri-culture" Down Under and the hideous traffic this time of year. Try getting THAT kind of interaction at one of the gigantic vineyards! What's also great is that, since they abut Winemaker Studio, you can really get a tremendous scope of Long Island wines in this one, tiny joint. Hang out, have some great wine and talk to the winemakers, then slip next door for even more tasty goodness. Stop by. You won't be disappointed.

The Wine Tasting Experience included a Boar's Head platter featuring uncured Genoa salami and mozzarella, and Wheat Thins crackers to share, wineglasses for each person to take home, and 5 wine tastings per person. When we arrived at Osprey's Dominion Vineyards, there were plenty of parking spots and we checked in at the Tasting Room. The staff member provided us with 8 wine tasting placemats so we could indicate which wine tastings we would like and briefly explained the different types of wine. We could choose from the red, white, reserve, and the dessert wine list. I chose mostly whites and 2 rosés. My favorite was the Semi-Dry Riesling, though the Gewurztraminer was a close second. There are plenty of tables in the Tasting Room with large windows and even more tables outside. Outside, there are some tables on the patio and even more tables on the great lawn with barbecue pits. Osprey's Dominion Vineyards allows guests to bring their own picnic lunches, which is wonderful. We had prepared some charcuterie, fruit, chips, and sandwiches. After we finished our wine tastings, I purchased a bottle of Semi-Dry Riesling 2018 and Malbec 2019 for us to share. Since we were Groupon customers, we received a 20% discount on the wine-bottle purchase. There is an even a 30% discount on a purchase of three bottles or more. My family took advantage the case offer for $119. Osprey's Dominion Vineyards was not busy on July 4th and we all had a great time at the vineyards. It was a beautiful day with not a single cloud in the sky. Staff were very friendly and carried out the case to our car. The Boar's Head platter was a little small for 2 people to share, so it was great that we could bring outside food. Osprey's Dominion Vineyards is very spacious with plenty of tables so it is great for big groups.
