Two things I liked and will bring me back are: they are celiac friendly, and, have a 1 to 10 scale for the level of spice you want to have. We are are an extended family with some odd food allergies and food intolerances, so finding a restaurant that makes everyone happy is gold. I did spice level 2. I would try 4 the next time, as my dish ended up being good, but a bit bland. It was the XO dish. The person who had the best experience ordered the Pad Thai, level 10 spice. They found their meal to be perfect. I will note he has a very high heat tolerance. I had some Sashimi to start, and it was perfectly prepared. Decor is brown/black and gold with lots of windows. It's casual, but in a nice way. Overall everyone was happy and we will return.

Ambience is nice, it's pretty inside and on the darker side. The chairs/furniture can use an upgrade. The food unfortunately has not been the same. All the sauces have a similar taste. The pad Thai sauce was so thick and had way too much of it :( Same with the black bean. My daughter ordered a second round of avocado rolls, and it came out in less than a minute and was warm :/ It's heartbreaking because I truly appreciate all the waitresses hard work however I will not be going back.

The coleslaw, the vegan general Thai and other stir fries is so yummy! Honestly with inflation I find ordering here very expensive and that's the only reason it's 4 stars and not 5 for me! They still operate their food truck for events. I was really happy to see this small independently-own business really bopping despite us currently being amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic. They open at 4pm and I called at 4:01pm to place my order for pickup. The lady answered the phone and asked me to hold. She just put the phone down because I could literally hear everything, lol. She was serving a customer who was physically at the restaurant and then when she was done with him she was on a different phone taking a delivery order. She came back to me and apologized for the wait. I placed my order and she told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. I got there about 30 minutes later and the food was ready. They had a lot of orders behind the counter ready to go. Service was quick and friendly. I made some special requests and they were all honoured (no sesame seeds, no bean sprouts and no cilantro). I ordered a General Tao Chicken $12.39 (no sesame seeds) and a Chicken Pad Thai $13.27 (no sesame seeds, no bean sprouts, and no cilantro). Both were delicious. The General Tao Chicken had a slightly spicy kick to it. It came with white rice underneath as well as some vegetables: onions, cabbage, carrots, and (unexpectedly) bean sprouts, lol. I didn't specify "no bean sprouts" for the General Tao Chicken, as this dish doesn't normally contain bean sprouts. It was ok though, because it's not an allergy, just a preference - I don't like bean sprouts. Turned out ok, as my husband doesn't mind bean sprouts and he liked the General Tao Chicken more, so he ate most of it, haha. The Chicken Pad Thai was mild (not spicy), but still flavourful. It had chicken, eggs, onions, cabbage, and carrots, as well as rice noodles. It also had peanuts and came with a wedge of lime. The portion sizes looked a bit small, but they actually were a decent size. There is some free parking in front of the restaurant. This place is really out of the way for me, but if I lived in Riverside South, I would go more often.

They have a good selection and apps and also noodles which are more individual meal portions but we decided to share and try everything. On Tuesdays, they have yakitori and I would love to come back to try that. The scallop crudo was lightly seasoned and fresh. I feel like it could have used a bit more citrus but overall it was good! The Korean fried chicken wings/drums were saucy, with something that tasted like a gochujang based sauce, as well as a ranch with dill. I didn't really taste the miso in the ranch too much, but I did enjoy the flavour profile. We also had the chicken karaage, which was lightly breaded and fried, and paired with a mayo. It was ok but a little plain. Next, we had the dan dan noodles. Dan dan noodles are traditionally very chewy have a nice bite to them but these noodles are a bit on the softer side. The flavour profile was good though. Lastly, we had the beast ramen. The smoked pork belly was nice and crisp and the soft boiled egg was nicely cooked. The noodles seem to be the same ones used in the dan dan noodles. It was enjoyable but the broth wasn't exactly ramen broth that I am used to. I would say that overall it was enjoyable, and prices were reasonable. Service was great. But there is definitely some room for improvement on the dishes. I would consider this more Asian fusion than a noodle bar.

The staff were quite rude and grunted each time we asked them for something. My mom was afraid to ask them for extra napkins because they were so unpleasant. Part way through our meal, the staff decided to eat lunch as well. It's fine that they have their meals in the dining area, however, they completely ignored the customers. Regarding my mom needing extra napkins. She ended up getting up and getting it herself. A couple came in to dine and were waiting at the entrance for a long time for someone to greet them. They finally were seated but then no one came to get their order because they were having their lunch a few tables down. Like I said, they completely ignore the customers. So the couple (who sat at the table across from us) unfortunately got up and left. The food was decent. We ordered 9 dishes and they all were good. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take any photos. However, you can get just as good food at other places with much better service. I do not recommend this place due to poor service.

Out of all the dine-in korean restaurants we've tried so far in Ottawa (which I know is quite limited and most aren't authentic- but that's not to say they aren't good): Alirang, Maht, Daldongnae, etc. This is definitely top tier AND we will be coming back.
