Faith and her team at Raofactor were so amazing. They note everything you want and make really great design suggestions for your wedding. Faith worked with us and she really gets a feel for what you want and makes sure that's what they will deliver. She kept constant and quick communications with us every step of the way. They met with us several times before the event and also did a mock up at the site to make sure everything is what you wanted. We used them for 2 out of our 3 day wedding at two different locations. They also do the florals such as bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages for the parents and the wedding party. read more

I just want to start this review by saying that I was incredibly pleased with how the decor at our wedding turned out, but it was overall an awful experience, and one I would never do again with RaoFactor. We met Shaun through our wedding planner. There were several occasions where Shaun did not answer texts. He told my dad email is a better form of communication for him--didn't answer those either. I was living in another state and planning a wedding in Texas, and had to rely on email/phone and Shaun's unresponsiveness caused a great deal of stress. The one time he communicates really well though, is when he's asking for payment. We finalized our decor item sheet, and the grand total was $29,914. My dad actually paid Shaun $30,000 in cash not realizing the total was less than. When he realized this, he contacted Shaun's office and was told Shaun would Zelle us this money. I asked on 3 separate occasions and was told "Shaun will Zelle you today". No Zelle. Then finally, "Shaun will Zelle you when he sets up the day of the wedding." The day of the wedding comes around and the wedding planner relayed the message that there were things not accounted for on the item sheet that Shaun had to use, so our extra money would not be returned--low key knew this money would never come back to us anyways. Allegedly, we did not account for linens for the sweetheart table or the welcome table. However, our hotel did provide us with linens, so not something I would have necessarily spent extra cash on considering how few people actually notice the linens at these 2 tables. I was actually fine with all this as I was happy with the decor but then Shaun informs me that his team noted 5 missing arrangements when they went to tear down the following day. He asks if I know who took them--like a bride knows what happens during her wedding--and if the faux silk florals could be returned as they had just purchased them and they intended to reuse them at future weddings. I imagined this would be $500 tops so I said I would cover it if necessary. One month goes by, I finally get an email invoice for $1,187.50--outrageous to me when you spend $30,000 on decor for a one night event to begin with. One week goes by, and Shaun says his office has attempted to reach me several times (1 email). We set up a phone conversation to talk about the matter which resulted in him saying there was nothing he could do but for me to pay the price of the faux florals. He says that in the 8 years he has been doing this, no one has ever walked off with an arrangement--I call bs, people leave with flowers after a wedding all the time. By the way, not once did Shaun mention in the 3 meetings we had with him in person, phone conversations, emails that these arrangements needed to be returned. There was also nothing in writing indicating that arrangements would need to be returned. This was my experience with RaoFactor--although the decor was great it came at the price of poor communication and extraneous charges. I would not recommend their services. read more

Raofactor turned our vision into our reality! Decor was a big part of our planning process, and what I loved most about them is that they customize everything. There's not a cookie cutter template book for you to pick out your layout. They design each event based on your vision. First of all, let me just say I love these people like they were my family. But aside from that, I would not do anything business related with them. I worked for the family that is based in Dallas. It was a pleasure working with them. The vision of making peoples dreams come true on a day that will be a memory for a lifetime is one of the most noble visions I have had the opportunity to be a part of. However, I do not agree with their business practices. I believe and would go to bat for anyone I go to bat for. I will bend over backwards to help anyone for such a noble cause but I would expect the same in return. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that the feeling isn't reciprocated. It's all about what corner that can be cut and not taking responsibility for one's self. I took a lot of heat for things that went wrong. I knew what I was getting into before I went there so that's on me. But the blatant disrespect while I was there! The business is equipped for so much, but they are not equipped to handle much. Nothing wrong with that but the customer suffers in the long run. They have had to refund Client's again and again because they haven't been able to perform as client has expected. Ordering things week of... doing things last minute... not being able to find third party vendors because they burned every bridge because of money... employees disgruntled because of non payment... not paying on time... everything money related.. They made an employee work for free for a month because he accidentally hit a car. They didn't want to file a claim under the business insurance since it was business related. I can go on and on. I tried helping them as much as possible. They didn't have things as basic as a scheduling system for their employees much less an active drug policy. It's all about costs. I get that, but in some things you cannot cut corners in for the sake of saving money. Do things right to get the best result. That has been my experience and that sentiment is not shared at this establishment. If you care to make the best memories, please consider elsewhere even though this man is the most creative man I've seen in a while. He can definitely make dreams come true, but that contingent on the fact that you have his undivided attention and there are no other events taking place at the same time as yours.. If you are the only one for that time, you will be fine. Otherwise, you have to share attention, product, resources, and time with another client and something may get lost in the mix. He has told me he has years of experience. About 6 is what he has told me. With that many years of experience, I would expect a higher sense of business acumen and the ability to know when to take care of the individuals that save them in a daily basis. Not cutting corners. Pains me to write, and I wish the best for them. However, they are still learning and sometimes it takes a little longer for others to actually learn. Nothing wrong with that. I had the great pleasure of working with RAOFACTOR for my wedding. Throughout the planning process, we met (in person and online) several times to go over the design and to see both venues. I didn't have a clear vision of what I wanted but Shaun was able to take some of my ideas and create a cohesive design. The ceremony venue layout wasn't ideal as the trees and fountains were spread over the front lawn of the property. There wasn't a big enough open space to fit all 200 chairs and I love how he thought outside the box and came up with an unique seating arrangement. I had never considered placing the seats asymmetrically with a curved aisle. The end results were GORGEOUS. Everything had exceeded my expectations and I'm so glad that I went with RAOFACTOR. They provided more than just the decor and flowers, they were able to give me recommendations to other vendors and provide guidance. Anyone who has ever planned a wedding should know how quickly it can become overwhelming. The day after the wedding, my father in law told me that initially he was not impressed with the venue when he saw it for the first time at rehearsal. However, after RAOFACTOR worked their magic setting everything up, he was blown away. His exact words were ''the place looked 500 times better than the day before''. read more

My wife and I found Rao Factor through social media since he had done some beautiful weddings for others. Shaun was professional and excellent in designing our wedding events. We met him briefly via video chat multiple times where he laid out several concepts and color schemes, and eventually showed us firsthand how he came up with the room layout. Being able to watch him work was a real treat! You can tell that not only does Shaun have a serious passion for his work, but he has an extremely talented eye for placement and framing. On the wedding day, he brought an experienced team that was capable of flipping the same venue quickly for multiple events, and was able to nail the look. RaoFactor got almost everything perfect --- there were some issues with execution during one of the events. Because of this, I have to dock them one star. Fortunately, they met with our parents to resolve what happened and were very forthcoming. I would highly recommend working with them. While I was happy with Shaun's services for most of the planning period (which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1), his execution during my wedding weekend was subpar at best. He overpromised, overcharged, and underdelivered. Pros: 1. Creative genius 2. Friendly 3. Will spend time hashing out ideas with you Cons: 1. Under-delivery: this was my biggest and most frustrating issue. We were promised SO many things, and while many of those things were done, there were a significant portion (both event and cost-wise) that were underwhelming and not at all what we were promised. -Shaun had an idea to use 2 massive trees filled with greenery and florals as the mandap instead of a traditional 4 post mandap. When he described this and sketched it out, it looked amazing and I was so excited about it. That was one of our larger expenses during the wedding weekend and when I saw the trees on the mandap, I was so disappointed. The trees looked scraggly and barely covered in greens, let alone florals. They looked as they had in the warehouse during one of our in-person meetings without any additional work. -I'm not sure of all the reasons why they weren't able to deliver what they had promised AND what we had already paid for in full (see #3), but I think it was partly that Shaun was not there in person producing the wedding, and we weren't able to see the full design in mock-up (ie, the trees). Shaun would give us a glimpse of it and say that it would be like that, but bigger. Maybe that was my mistake and I should have been more assertive in wanting to see what they would look like on wedding day. I think the other part was due to a lack of manpower on the production team. It is not my job, as a client, to know how many people will be needed for all of the production, that is RaoFactor's job and they underestimated. Shaun should have been better prepared with a bigger team for what they had promised us (instead we had incomplete production and delays during the wedding and excuses/blaming other parties afterwards) -This was an outdoor ceremony and we wanted shade and Shaun told us that while we wouldn't have complete shade, the trees would be so large they would provide some shade, and we would have a halo with hanging drapery to supplement that. The trees provided no shade because they weren't even half built out and the halo was a tightly wrapped ring that served no purpose. -Not only did Shaun overpromise, but when I brought up the fact that they underdelivered after the wedding, they were unprofessional in blaming other vendors for their own shortcomings and taking no responsibility. 2. Poor communication: In the 2 weeks leading up to the wedding, it was like pulling teeth for me to get responses about updated floor plans, last minute meetings, dance floor designs--I picked a dance floor design out of 3 options, that wasn't even what I had really wanted, 3 days before the wedding, and paid premium price for it. 3. Payment: Not only do they make you pay 100% of your invoice before the wedding, leaving no room for you to decide if everything was as promised, but they will constantly be after you for payments and when you're trying to reach them about design 2 weeks out, they're extremely unresponsive. 4. Miscommunication during the wedding weekend: between RaoFactor and other vendors, between RaoFactor and myself -This was a constant struggle throughout the wedding weekend. Instead of enjoying my wedding, I was being told either by the planner or Priyanka herself that things were delayed, damaged, or not as they had expected when all of this had been communicated clearly beforehand. This is the abridged version of all my complaints about RaoFactor, but probably the things we had the most issue with. It is SO disappointing to spend all this time, effort, and money on your wedding where you expect to see everything you're promised and instead are spending your wedding weekend worrying about what your design team didn't do and if they're executing properly. read more

Our very first in person meeting was actually in California and it was great that they were willing to meet us up even with their busy schedules. They were very responsive to all of our needs and we could have not asked for a better turnout of the décor. It was everything we had wanted to incorporate for our reception and beyond. I'm leaving this review in hopes of preventing any other engaged couples and their families from having the experience we had with Rao Factor. In December 2016, we began working with Shaun Rao. In writing, he stated he would provide X, Y, and Z for the budget set forth. We were all happy with that arrangement. Our wedding was in May 2017. During the next few months, we sporadically heard from Shaun except for when he wanted an installment paid. We had a few in-person meetings. He showed up late to each meeting.... not just by 5 minutes, he was half an hour to an hour late each time except for the one occasion where my mom and I went to his office in Dallas. With the wedding 2 weeks away, I was wondering why Shaun had not submitted the final invoice. After asking for it repeatedly, he finally calls me to "warn me" about the invoice. I opened it to find that his invoice exceeded our budget by 95%. I'm not kidding you... 95%! I told him repeatedly prior to receiving that invoice, do whatever you need to do to honor the budget to which he typically had a flippant response. I'm not Beyonce .... having a grandiose wedding was never important to me. I said that many times throughout this experience. After receiving that invoice, I spent about 8 hours researching and changing his line items to get the balance due within a reasonable price range. Leading up to the wedding day, we received multiple complaints about Shaun from other vendors as well as the people he hired. The consensus from the other folks was Shaun lacked integrity, professionalism and he was poorly prepared. The night of the wedding when I walked into the tent, I was shocked to see the decoration above our dance floor. It was one of the more expensive line items on our invoice from Shaun and the decoration looked like he used branches and moss that he found in our yard. I never saw Shaun the evening of the wedding or the day after. I received a call from him nearly a week later. I was curious if he would address the fact that he did not fulfill certain items that were explicitly outlined on his invoice and paid for. He did not address it so at the end of the call I brought it up. He then gave me a long list of excuses... none of which were communicated upfront. I asked him to reimburse us and I sent him screenshots of the line items on his invoice along with photos of what he actually provided. He agreed to pay us a small fraction of what he failed to provide and asked that we agree to never speak of our experience publicly. If I can prevent someone else from having this experience during their wedding preparation, this will all be worth it. Run! read more
