My daughter got married in Cancun this past December. It was a beautiful celebration, but it almost got derailed by Prashe Decor. This review serves as a warning for future brides to think twice before hiring Prashe, particularly Naomi Guridy, whose lack of creativity, professionalism, unresponsiveness, and failure to deliver caused significant stress to our entire family. Thanks to our wedding planners' heroic efforts, the wedding turned out significantly better than if Prashe had handled the decor as planned. Lack of creativity and responsiveness: Prashe failed to meet expectations from the start. Despite our initial concerns, we agreed to work with Prashe because the owner assured us that she was confident they could deliver within our budget. Unfortunately, once we executed a contract in July, Naomi's designs consistently lacked creativity and did little to elevate the decor while also significantly exceeding our agreed upon budget. When we provided Naomi with direct, critical feedback in early September, she handled it poorly and failed to give clear updates on how she planned to address our concerns. After our in-person visit in mid-September, Naomi disappeared for weeks and was totally unresponsive despite repeated follow-ups from our planners. During her absence, Prashe failed to provide updates on Naomi's behalf or even a timeline within which we could expect to hear back. An updated design proposal (with no budget updates) was finally shared in late October--just six weeks before the wedding--which still required significant revisions. In mid-November, less than a month before the wedding, she shared a revised budget that more than doubled our original total contract value, leaving us with little room to maneuver. Poor budget transparency: While we expected to exceed our original budget, Prashe's lack of transparency and communication was appalling. The cost increases were staggering, with inflated charges for labor, transportation, and taxes--many of which had been absent from the original proposal and was never communicated to us as the design evolved. Instead, we were pressured to pay at the last minute without meaningful explanation or a chance to review the budget live as Naomi went on vacation the day after sharing it with us. Wrongful contract termination: The last straw came just two weeks before the wedding, when Naomi suddenly and unilaterally terminated the contract without notifying us directly or offering a compromise, while retaining the 25% deposit we had paid. This was done with malicious intent to back us into a corner and jeopardize the wedding. It would have been better if Prashe had declined to take us on as clients from the start rather than over-promising and under-delivering to secure the business. In sharp contrast, the replacement vendor executed superbly within our budget in just two weeks! While the wedding ultimately turned out beautifully, the emotional and financial toll caused by Prashe Decor and Naomi cannot be overstated. Brides deserve vendors who are transparent, reliable, and deliver on their promises--qualities Prashe Decor entirely lacks. We are exploring legal options to address the damage caused by this ordeal and strongly advise anyone considering this company to proceed with extreme caution. read more

Prashe Shah delivered and installed a custom foil-wrapped dance floor to my daughter's Bat Mitzvah party venue. During the morning installation, our event planner informed Prashe that the foil on the dance floor looked defective (as the materials were already separating) and implored with her to fix or replace it prior to the party starting. She did not. The party began at 7:00p and by 7:15p, the foil on the dance floor began to shred everywhere. We have detailed photos which are time-stamped to show exactly when the foil on the dance floor began to shred. Prashe blamed the failure of the materials on foot traffic on the dance floor prior to the party starting. Neither the event planner, nor the party logistics coordinator at venue, nor I, were given any instructions that there was to be no foot traffic on the dance floor from the time it was installed in the morning to the time the party began at 7p. Both the event planner and and the logistics coordinator at the venue have signed statements indicating that they were not given any instructions by Prashe or any of her associates indicating there was to be no foot traffic on the dance floor between the morning installation and when the party started at 7p. We had initially secured a dance floor with another vendor, but Prashe promised hers would be better and would find items with them to absorb our lost deposit with them. She did not. That vendor has since (kindly) refunded 50 percent of this deposit. We asked Prashe for a full refund on her dance floor. Prashe said she would give us a partial refund IF we signed a non-disclosure agreement. This did not sound appropriate. We were worried the whole night about guests getting their high heels or regular shoes caught in the shredded floor and more that people would get hurt. read more

Well my friends, with Prashe, you sure can have that dream wedding without going absolutely broke. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever be able to hire Prashe for my wedding. That was until my wedding coordinator convinced me otherwise. Little did she know about all the gawking I had already done online long before my man even entered the picture. So what's the best part of working with them to get what I want? Prashi Shah. Prashi has been featured in many issues of Dallas magazines and is (in my opinion) one of rising luxury couture names in the area. Incredibly down to earth and approachable! She never made me feel like my budget was an issue, instead, she gave so many options of what I could do. And to top things off, she also designed my wedding outfit. I did mention couture in her background didn't I? When I got to meet Prashi in person, we hit it off and talked a lot. She told me she was from New York, and moving from California myself, I talked to her quite a bit about making the move to the Dallas area. One thing leads to another and she asked me if I had any luck with my wedding outfit. Let me tell you one thing about Cali Indian bridal boutiques- they're stuckup and out to rob you for thousands of dollars for something you can clearly buy in India for a quarter of the price! Prashe had loads of designs and silk fabrics to choose from. I gave them my colors and an idea of what kind of design I liked and that was it. I left the rest up to them and didnt see the final result until 2 weeks before my wedding. End result: I had the most beautiful wedding I could've asked for in THE perfect outfit. Knowing how much I loved the color teal but my parents being unrelenting to me being allowed to wear it for the wedding day, Prashi came up with a unique idea of adding teal piping to my traditional outfit to give it that twist of personality that perfectly reflects me. It was gorgeous! I still cant stop looking at the outfit. And the decor for the wedding? LOVED IT! It was a definite reflection of me and all my family and friends couldn't agree more. Perfect wedding with the perfect man and the perfect vendor. Definitely check out the showroom for any big event you may have upcoming. I think our wedding was on the smaller scale for what Prashe normally does but we were not disappointed! All of our wishes were listened too and the room was breathtaking, they were an easy one stop shop for our uplighting, alter/stage and flowers. My favorite part of Prashes services was the walk through of the warehouse to pick out everything from table cloths to candle sticks. I wasn't able to do anything like that with other vendors we were looking at. We hired Prashe for our wedding events in March 2020. When we first reached out to Prashe they were very helpful in discussing needs for the wedding and events. Since I was planning the wedding from Chicago I had to fly to Dallas several times to discuss the wedding theme and declarations with Dhara. Dhara was assured us she would make our wedding vision come to reality with her help. It was unfortunate to find out at the last minute she could not be there with us the weekend of the events to see our vision through. The morning of the wedding we found out she had attended another event the night before, which was obviously very unprofessional and upsetting to us. She sent another Prashe employee, Alina, instead. Alina did an amazing job considering the short notice and limited involvement in planning. Overall I would give Prashe 2/5 stars, they're able provide all the basic decor needs but the service isn't exactly what you'd hope for something as special as a wedding. I had Prashe make a dress for me and it turned out amazing! I had a specific vision that I wanted and the entire team executed it to the letter. I had 3 fittings and they were ready the minute I got there. They had the everything ready and it was quick. They listened to my concerns and adjusted the dress accordingly. We had Dhara design our wedding this May and it turned out absolutely fabulous. She made our vision come to life and exceeded our imaginations. Initially I had a very modest idea of what our sangeet would look like but when I saw her design in person I was blown away - it was incredible!. Our wedding ceremony and reception were even better. I gave her a few ideas of what I wanted but not many specifics (Except no couch on stage!) and she was able to elaborate and expand on it to create a beautiful ambiance for our special day. We got so many compliments from guests that our wedding was so beautiful. Dhara was so friendly, pleasant, upbeat and made the process very enjoyable for us. By far one of the worst vendors for decor and planning. Beware she will take you for a ride. Over promise and deliver nothing. We were told a team of 20 people would be putting our 3 day event together and we got 2 people. All our pictures were ruined because she couldn't make a judgement call that our backdrops were too far from the dance floor. Unethical and ripping people off. The worst decision would be to use Prashi. These guys are pros at bringing you in and once they do you realize how unorganized and pathetic of a business they are running. I attended a wedding reception at Ritz Carlton in Dallas this month. Decoration was not impressive: tables had no linen and the backstage decor had exposed wood along with other issues. I asked my friend who is the vendor for decorations and he told me Prashe decor. I was very disappointed by decorations. My friend was very unhappy and frustrated in his dealings with Prashe. I can understand his disappointment. After this experience, I will never use Prashe and would never recommend any of my friends to use this vendor. read more

I was extremely disappointed with Prashe. When I arrived to the reception to see the decor (they had come in to set up about four hours prior to arrival), I saw the disaster. The centerpieces we had ordered had the WRONG colors for the flowers and petals. They were not even centered on several of the tables. Also, the petals were clumped up around the centerpieces as opposed to the delicate scatter on the table (as I had requested). I provided a VERY detailed request and none of my requests were met. I asked for uniform color for petals and the bouquet/centerpieces - instead they provided 3 different colors. I also requested 2 different colors for petals - only one was there (that also being neither of the two colors I had actually requested. Needless to say, I spent a good portion of the cocktail hour scrambling to make the decorations look as nice as I possibly could - scattering the petals MYSELF and aligning the centerpieces MYSELF. The only way we were able to make it look somewhat decent was to keep the lights as dim as humanly possible. Even then the only part that made the tables look nice were the candles (most of which were not even provided by the decorator but by our venue itself). Overpriced and truly unprofessional. Not only did they not make contact the day of - but they also did not respond to any of our attempts to contact them. I would not recommend going with them unless you plan to micromanage them the day of your event. I could have done the decorations myself for a fourth of the cost and made it look more elegant. read more

WOW! What an experience. I produce a very popular television show in Dallas and we employed Prashe Decor to plan and design one of our big all cast events. From top to bottom the experience was absolutely incredible and worth every penny. Prashe herself was extremely responsive, we talked on the phone, through email and text and it didn't seem that any of my 1 MILLION questions ever annoyed her. In the beginning, I gave her a single theme as I knew how I wanted the event to "feel" but wasn't sure how I wanted it to "look", so I trusted Prashe because as she was rattling off her ideas, I was intrigued. I'll be honest some of her ideas are a bit over the top because she's super creative and I'm sure you will feel like "there is no way she could pull something like that off!" Well she did! I mean it was just incredible. For example, she kept talking about this "cotton candy wall" and while it sounds FAB, I was thinking, "this lady is crazy! There is no way she is pulling off a wall of cotton candy" -- As I walked through the door of the venue as Prashe and her team were setting up, guess what I see...A COTTON CANDY WALL!!!! Soooo cool! I say all of that to say, she is super creative and whatever she tells you she can do, trust me...she can do! She had a nice sized staff who were all extremely professional and this may sound silly but I loved that they had matching t-shirts -- it just speaks to the professionalism of a company when the team seems like they are on one accord. I won't get into the exact budget that we had but I will say, the party looked as if it cost about 40k - 50k dollars and I can assure you, it didn't cost that at all. So all in all, I am impressed. I enjoyed her. The space was great, the decor was AMAZINNGGGGG and I would whole-heartedly say that you should feel totally comfortable trusting that she can plan any of your events and make it FAB! I'm not quite sure what these other reviews are talking about. I don't know anything about paying staff and all that, I just know that as far as event planning and decor, her and her team were top notch. read more

I'm all for minority owned businesses ESP women owed since I myself am a minority Owened female business owner, but to be honest I know how to deal with all types of people, races and demographics. I walked into prashe decor about 3 weeks ago and have been extremely dissatisfied because I can't get any service or a straight answer. I have been working with Purvi out if the Houston office for my daughters sweet 15 birthday and have not even been able to get a single solid quote on paper but a oral quote .I have been given a quote orally without seeing the venue with no available break down since they are not allowed to give breakdowns, I'm the home building industry I give break downs all day long bc my clients have the right to know where their money is being allocated . If you do not want to do want simply say so do not beat around the bush in a very important event. Out of common courtesy just say you have no intention of working with me instead of stringing me along not communicating with me on a impotant event. read more

I had to call this place 4 times and leave a message three times and still wasn't able to get a hold of anyone. I emailed them twice, and finally someone emailed back asking to fill out a form, I filled out the form, they lost it, and asked me to fill it out for the second time. After doing so, I didn't hear anything from them, I called for the 5th time, I got a hold of the owner, Prashe, and she scheduled me for 10:30am, I showed up there, Prashe was supposed to meet me, but she was in another meeting, I waited for an hour and a half until 12pm, and she was still in her meeting. She didn't even acknowledge me, I told the receptionist I had to go back to work, I took the morning off for this, and I drove from Allen TX, which is about 45 mins away just to come to this appointment. The customer service is unbelievably disgusting, I don't even know how they even have clients. I would never call them back again, or use their services. read more
