I was in desperate need of a florist who was willing to not only work with me in a time crunch, work within a tight budget, and utilize some little plastic fish bowls we already had. My hopes weren't very high of finding anyone to fit this bill, but Lane Florist was a highly recommended name on the PCOYS Facebook page that came up over and over again. I reached out to Angela via email and set up a time to pop in at the store to see what we could work out. At the store I pulled my embarrassing little plastic fish bowls out and showed them to Angela. When my brother told me he had little fish bowls for me to use, I wrongly assumed they would be the cute little glass ones. Not to fear, though-- Angela smiled kindly and said, "No I think we can make these work! They will look much better with water in them. Let me go get a few scrap stems and show you." She retreated to the back and came out with the cutest little arrangement in this plastic fish bowl. She convinced me (very kindly so) that they really could look nice and help me stay in my budget. We came up with a few other ideas for some larger glass fish bowls and 1 large arrangement for my mom's table. With ease and reassurance, Angela assured me the short time line was no problem and everything would look fantastic. I breathed a sigh of relief. Picking up those flowers on Saturday, I couldn't believe how gorgeous everything was!! Everyone at the party was commenting on these arrangements and they looked just lovely on the tables. It's hard for me to leave without getting at least one Gerbera daisy to brighten someone's day. Lane Florist did the flowers for my wedding. They put together a beautiful fern-based bouquet for me that was completely unique and special. I was pleased with everything - the quality, the professionalism and skill of their staff, and their willingness to work with me to get everything exactly as I wanted. Their arrangements are original and can be made to fit any specification, whether it is style, cost, or function. I've walked in before with a certain budget and they just take it from there, putting together something amazing. I love their half-price special starting at 4:30 pm (daily) and all day Saturday. I can't even begin to tell you what a magnificent job Angela and her crew did for a party I had for my mom's wedding at my home. I went in to the shop with several of my own vases, but needed extra for other areas of my house. Moving to a new town you have to find all your go to places. Lane Florist was my first try at a florist in Dallas and I was a good, but not great experience. Online ordering is always great to have and the product in the end was high quality. Ordering flowers while traveling is great, but means I come home to as much of a surprise as the recipient. Seeing the flowers I couldn't disagree they were quality, but the price tag seemed high for a small, if lovely, arrangement. My spouse certainly appreciated them, but I'm guessing would push back on me for spending so much. Long story short: quality was there, value was not. I'll use Lane Florist again for special occasions when I want to go big, but in general I imagine I'll look elsewhere. read more

Ordered flowers from here for delivery today, and they look beautiful. The whole experience was wonderful. First of all, they had a person answering the phones who was located somewhere that she could actually hear me! I can't tell you how many times I've called a florist and they are in a big, loud, concrete room with lots of other people and they can't hear me. Well, not this time! She could hear me, had a perfect list of questions to ask me, and the whole thing took less than five minutes. The flowers arrived this afternoon at my cousin's house and she sent me a picture. They looked beautiful, very fresh and healthy, and a good size. From the picture, I am very satisfied with what I got for the price. I will definitely be ordering from them again. Lane Florist is my go-to florist in Dallas. Whenever I need to order flowers, i.e. my annual mother's day corsage for my mother, I go in and pick out the fresh flowers I want and they take care of the rest! I've used a few other florists in the past years but this one is my favorite because of the beautiful arrangements they end up making. Their cute store in Snider Plaza has a wonderful variety of exotic and beautiful flowers that are currently available. And, they don't make those typical run of the mill arrangements you would see at Tom Thumb or 1800flowers.com The staff there is really helpful too as they will make suggestions to what flowers will hold well (as a corsage) and go together. One year, I was actually late in picking up my flowers and the store had to close. So, one of the employees left it with a restaurant next door so I would have my flowers in time! I was so appreciative! If you want exceptional and quality, try them out. Granted I pay about $25-$30 every year for the corsage, more than most places, but I find it worth every penny! read more

For my husband's 50th B-day, I decided to send him flowers, a sure-to-be-remembered gesture. After Googing for a florist near to his Central at N.W. Highway office, I double-checked the choices through YELP!, of course. And that's when the obvious choice of Lane Florist presented itself. A perfectly charming young lady answered the phone; she could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Walking me through the many choices, I set a reasonably modest budget, discussed color favorites of the recipient (LOVES red; is a big fan of cherries), and then told her to let the floral designer work his or her magic without following a cookie-cutter design; to let their talent be their guide. To say the result was anything less than spectacular would be to insult the talent of that designer! Nestled in a stylish, off-white squat round vase with a vague "hobnail" design, an explosion of red flowers burst forth, featuring luscious roses and tulips, and interspersed with unexpected but absolutely perfect lavender hyacinths. Exotic greens punctuated the arrangement and, to add a note of perfection, a generous cellophane package of cherry flavored Jelly-Belly candies was attached to the vase! My husband was the amused focus of his "wowed" tech office as the delivery person presented the bouquet to him at his desk. Everybody wanted to taste the candies, too. He brought the arrangement home (they were delivered on Friday but his birthday was Saturday), and his visiting parents got to see and enjoy them as he served his CHERRY birthday cake and everyone sang the usual birthday song (by which I mean "Birthday" by the Beatles...) THANK YOU, LANE FLORIST, and thank you to your well-trained and talented employees for helping to make my hubby's 50th so very special. Staff is rude, I came in with a nice black couple and they were happily greeted with lots of enthusiasm while completely ignoring me and we came in the door together the man held the door for me. She made me a last minute corsage and it was beautiful! I walked in 20 to closing hoping to be able to just pick one from a fridge. I was surprised when I got there that this was nothing like a Kroger florist spot. My bad! I was glad for the experience. I had never really used a florist but it was a special gesture for my boyfriend to give his daughter who was going to prom stag. I walked down the way to grab a snack and came back. I waited maybe 15 min and chatted with her while she worked. There is a dog there. A sweet dog! And before I knew it, I was gone with a beautiful wrist arrangement! I called Lane Florist at 10a on Valentine's Day and asked if they could deliver flowers to my daughter by day's end and was assured they could. Unfortunately, they delivered the flowers late, to the neighbors, and my daughter did not receive the flowers until a day and a half later. The flowers were nice but when I called the proprietor to let her know the flowers arrived late, she got into a verbal argument with me and placed blame on the late delivery on me. The call actually went so long and got so irritating that I eventually told her I was going to hang up the phone and subsequently dropped the call. The proprietor has since called me back and left two lengthy messages that continued to blame me and also stated that if I put a negative review on Yelp, that she didn't care because she "would have it removed anyways" (BTW ... to my friends at Yelp, if you don't believe me please give me a call and I can replay the message). I really didn't want to review this company and would have preferred to let this drop, especially because it appears that she does have good reviews. However, I felt like I needed to go ahead and add the review because on the messages: 1. She continued to blame me for the delivery mishap 2. She said she was sorry that I had a bad relationship with my daughter and it seemed to be a bigger problem than just this. How presumptuous. I have a great relationship with my daughter and TJ have a vendor tell me otherwise is unheard of. 3. She actually picked up the phone and called my minor daughter about this event. My daughter is 16. I don't think anyone should call a 16 year old girl without the permission of the parent, which of course was not granted. 4. The comment about removing any negative reviews from Yelp struck me as a little underhanded. Yelp is here for a reason. I use it all the time to determine which restaurant I will go to, what hotel to stay at. Even what baby sitter to use if I am out of town. Yelp! Please tell me you don't delete legitimate reviews. That would be a heartbreaker and a deterrent to using your site. The flowers were pretty. I did appreciate that lane took the late order. However, the reaction I received from her and the fact that she called my daughter and assumed i had a bad relationship" was a bit much, and frankly hurtful. My advice. Good flowers but I hope nothing goes wrong and you don't have to talk with them. BTW. They compensated me for the flowers but I would much have preferred an apology and a polite tone.
