This Place was very rude and unprofessional. We let the staff know that it was our first time at the gun range and had a horrible experience due to rude and racist staff. I went to the gun range to celebrate my bday and staff member made me refill out a waiver 4 times stating he couldn't find my account. Only to find it 10 minutes before they closed. Saying I can only shoot once when they took an hour to check me in and verify me. I feel the staff was stalling to kill time and was very rude and unprofessional didn't care it was our first time with very negative energy, I will not be back and will make sure everyone knows this place is a racist ass piece of shit. read more

They go above and beyond with their safety and I've never had an issue here. * They have all the targets you can choose from and they're inexpensive. * Plenty of rental handguns and/or rifles to choose from. * Team members and knowledgeable and just nice. Not condescending or over-the-top like some places. They don't walk around with their overly visible side-arms, extra mags, pocket knife, etc. as visible as possible while they are "police posturing" and delivering their absolute expertise in all things firearms to anyone who walks by them, throughout their whole shift. (you know what I mean and you know who you are) * Clean. The store, the range, the classrooms, the parking lot, the bathrooms. Clean. * Great program offerings. I took my CCW there a number of years ago and it was great. I had a really good time with the instructor and the rest of the class. Thorough and very informative. * The store has a lot to offer. I've only purchased on handgun from Range USA (different location) and I can say that the price was comparable and fair. Would I go back? I would and I would highly recommend. Unfortunately my wife and I took the basic gun class at Blue Ash on July 24th and paid little over $200 when we got there and I was told I had to pay an additional $7 a piece for gun range fees the class started 20 minutes late and there was a 15 minute presentation by gentleman from uscca which led to no time available for practice on the range as promised in the class and over a month later we have not received certificates as promised on the website I'm not asking for special treatment discounts etc I just want what was promised to me or my money back pretty simple do what you say and say what you do I would not recommend this sadly as I had expectations that I would get what I paid for read more

What an AWESOME experience. I called ahead of time and spoke with Victor. I called to see if they had the ammo that I needed for my G22. To my surprise they had the ammo I needed and I was able to purchase up to FIVE boxes but only purchased FOUR boxes. The better part of this visit was that I was able to purchase the ammo WITHOUT using their range first. This made me so happy. Melissa is very rude and unprofessional. My membership did not auto renew due to my primary card being expired. I logged into the account & changed my primary card, however that payment method was then removed. Range USA can no explain how and why it was removed. Melissa continued to tell me that my payment method was never there even though It was for an entire month before I made it my primary card.. She said that the card was never on file, even though I added it before I made the purchase. I checked out some of the other one star reviews on here to assess what others have complained about, and how Range USA tends to respond. It seems to be your typical complaints about pricing which is a given; this is a popular commercial range so crappy prices are to be expected. I notice a lot of defending coming from the comments back by Range USA which I normally respect but in too many of these other one star reviews, I find it to be a comical "eff off" delivered politely to a valid concern from a customer. Especially in cases regarding rudeness with staff or RSO's. I just cancelled my membership today as soon as I got home from the range. I'm finally done convincing myself that I actually enjoy shooting here and that the ten minutes I save in driving is worth coming here instead of Queen City Shooters. I'm never buying anything but 22lr and an occasional box of 9mm since I know where else to shop for good pricing; it's the actual range experience that just utterly sucks. It sucks tremendously so. I came here today to function test an old heirloom rimfire in my collection that I've been tinkering with to function reliably. I brought my girlfriend with me who is a fairly experienced shooter as well. But as soon as I stepped into the lanes, the RSO seemed set on singling out our lane to spectate the entire time. What enthusiastic shooter enjoys being spectated like they're first time shooters (as one review mentioned succinctly). I looked back at the guy and he just kept on staring, eventually pulling up a chair. I understand the desire for range supervision and the severity of accidents on the firing lane, but my god is the RSO presence at this location annoying. I never quite like it because my favorite ranges don't directly supervise your lanes (which is amazing for being able to relax, bring weapons you intend to zero/tinker with, test things like recoil control under speed), but these guys just have the most mood killing demeanor and approach. It's not that they're rude, in fact when the first RSO on duty approached me he blamed corporate for the fact that he needed to get onto me for having my locked open, unloaded rimfire handgun laying muzzle-left on the lane counter. Noted: lame rule and we all agree. But still he couldn't find it in him to pace around or switch locations a bit more so we didn't feel so "spectated." Another RSO switched with him mid range sesh; he definitely gave a bit of an Elmer Fudd kind of presence. As I was closing out my range session I test fired one last mag thru the mentioned target rimfire pistol, shooting at a brisk pace but NOWHERE in the realm of what I understand most ranges construe as rapid fire. In an almost comical, stereotypical "woah there, slow down bubba" kind of way he came to remind me of the range's policy on rapid fire. Which ended my range session on my own accord. I cannot with these people. Any shooter who genuinely takes the hobby seriously and likes to go frequently, please understand this place is very clearly intended for noobs; its only value is in finding more variety in weapon models if you don't have a good local shop. One last thing I'll say, and this touches on the feeling of the range in general as compared to others... Here it sort of feels like there's extra eyes on women, and people of color. I just have a general feeling that their eyes hold extra scrutiny and suspicion over people who don't look like your typical suburban/rural white shooter demographic. To be more specific, it feels as though the range officers will be more likely to treat you as if you're a total noob on the range, a potential accident born from inexperience or poor habits waiting to happen, or like your etiquette isn't in line somehow when you're handling yourself fine and responsibly. Anecdotal, yes, but I think to any demographic this may be pertinent to in general society, let me warn you and say it's a felt thing; you'll understand it if you go here. And you will probably have someone breathing down your back the whole time. Even if you face the firing lane the entire duration? Trust me, you'll still feel it. Children (14 or younger) with Legal Guardian shoot for free Gun Rental: Handgun: $10 Long gun: $15 Walked in and was greeted and helped right away. We did the hourly rate for $18.00 and since we don't own a handgun we had to rent one. We got the 9mm Romeo P320 which was very light. Eye and ear protection must be worn. The person helping us was very detailed on safety, how to load and aim the gun. Very patient with answering our questions. You get to move the target as close and far as you like. We shared a case of bullets which gave us approximately 8-10 rounds (can't remember exactly). We did pretty well our first time and had a really great experience. I wasn't going to post a public review and planned on handling my issue internally until I sent an email to them and got a BS canned response. Just goes to show that they really don't care. I will start off saying that I've been a long time customer at this location as well as their West Side Location. I've shot at their ranges, bought ammo and even have purchased guns from them in the past. I may not be a weekly customer or even a monthly customer but they're right down the street from my work so whenever I'm looking for anything gun related they're normally my first stop. Not even because they're convenient but because the staff always treats me right and is always super helpful. I even bought an optic a staff member recommended to me after I had purchased a rifle there a few months ago. The other day I had my first experience that left me less than happy with Point Blank. I decided to stop in to see if they had any ammo knowing they probably wouldn't but it was worth a try. I came in looking for 9mm and 5.56. They didn't have any which was to be expected and I didn't mind at all. I noticed they did have some .22mag and grabbed a few boxes. While I was in line I grabbed some pmags I noticed. A total impulse buy because why not? An associate came up to help me and when I followed him to the register he noticed I was trying to buy ammo. He informed me unless I was shooting on the range, was buying a gun or was a member he could not sell me the ammo. I told him that was fine and I put all of my items back where I got them, including the pmags and left. I get that they want to give their members an edge over common folk during these crazy times, but just because I am not a member does not mean I am not as valuable as a customer. I have spent a lot of money there in the past. This is how you lose a customer. I don't want to be forced to jump through hoops to be able to buy the things I need from your store. I don't want to be forced into a membership because I doubt I would use it enough. I just want to be able to buy ammo to A. Be able to shoot and enjoy my hobby and B. Be able to defend my household and family. Tonight I was denied that for a petty rule. I understand where they are coming from with that rule but I am not a fan. There are other shops around town that I'll be checking out that I'm sure will be more than willing to treat a customer right. They probably don't have ammo either but I'd rather give them my other firearm related business over Point Blank. Again, I didn't even want to publicly post this review as I wanted to handle it internally. They didn't even address my email and just responded with their ammo buying policy. This is a great range. Very underrated. They have a Kris vector for rent. As well as nearly 100 other range firearms. I would recommend coming here or if you're looking to buy a gun you're unfamiliar with you can probably rent it before you buy it. Under rated because of the following. I see many complaints that are not correctly directed. One of the most common is people complaining about firearms claiming that range USA won't stand behind they are products. The firearms that you're buying from Range USA atr not Manufactured by Range USA. This is especially true for the used gun section. The seller of a used gun bears zero legal responsibility for its function or safety. Entering into this market it's necessary to understand that manufacturers will stand behind their products the retailers are not responsible for returns. It is actually illegal to return guns. Guns can be sent directly to the manufacture for repair and they can be sent directly back to the person the firearm is transferred to. Another very common issue that I see are general complaints that are actually corporate issues. People come into the brick and mortar stores and then write a complaint about a corporate issue. These complaints should be directed towards their Better Business Bureau page. read more

Decent range with great staff but needs major work. Room leaks when it rains in the lobby area, sales floor and in the range. There's also no AC in the range so during summer days the temperature inside the range is in the 80s. Staff have notified leadership and even the owner but they don't intend to fix it since they don't consider it a problem. I love this place. This location has the friendliest staff. I have visited this location for several training classes and many more coming up soon. The trainers are talented and knowledgeable. I feel safe and confident knowing that the information and techniques they are providing me are giving me value and security when handling a firearm. Paul was the trainer for my CCW class and Toni was assisting. Both are amazing trainers. Toni is the reason I have come back to this location again and again to participate in Lady Sure Shots. She is extremely knowledgeable and able to provide direct feedback. Even the staff behind the counter have been quite helpful. I was looking for a specific magazine for my Taurus 22 and they currently do not stock them in store. One associate helped me find one by doing an online search for any in stock with other retailers. Super helpful! Now for the fun part: the range. Out of all the shooting ranges I have visited in the last year, this range is the one I feel the most safe in. There is a range security officer in each room and anyone can call out for hold or for assistance. As a new shooter, this is such a safety net for me and I appreciate it so much. 07/08 update- store manager was on vacation but did call me upon her return. She was super nice and professional. She deescalated the situation and assured me the following incident would not happen again. So bonus points for her! I had been a faithful customer of Shoot Point Blank for two years after moving to Ohio. Disabled/retired law enforcement officer. Normally everything is fine in the store, I even took my CCW course there. However, this past week an employee rushed towards me and 'almost' was screaming at me not to touch a gun. I did not cross a barrier, there are no signs posted, and any other firearms store in the Cincinnati area encourages you to touch a gun. Did I break a rule that they don't tell anyone about? I guess so, but how could I have known and can I really be blamed for that? And does that give the right for some millenial who thinks he's a bad ass because he's wearing a gun to scream at me and attempt to humiliate me in front of other customers? So I make a complaint to Shoot Point Blank. I got NOTHING back of any substance, just saying it was "not-sustained" because they feel the employee was doing what he "thought" was right. Well because you "Thought" something was right doesn't make it so, and it sure as hell doesn't excuse him from offering up an apology for his rude and unwarranted behavior. read more

Decent price for range time, clean range which is very important to me (limiting lead exposure) but the staff is not very knowledgeable at all and pretty rude. I would also like a clear answer as to whether or not I can use a binary trigger. I called before hand and was told I could shoot it as long as there was no rapid fire and it was kept under control. I never planned to use it for anything other than two round burst so that was fine by me, I just wanted to test it and sight the rifle in on semi as well. I drove all the way there and told the cashier I had the binary trigger again just to be certain and they told me it was allowed with again, no uncontrollable fire. I sighted the rifle in on semi, about 20 rounds and as soon as it was sighted in switched to echo. Three or so sets of two round burst with probably 5 or more seconds between bursts (I was testing accuracy and muzzle climb on second shot, so was not interested in rapid fire) and the range officer somewhat rudely told me "no binary triggers or bumpstocks!" I told him i was told twice I could use it by staff. He immediately got on his walky to inform all the young rather uninformed staff that binary triggers were not allowed. In conclusion a waste of time and money when the goal was to test that very trigger and I took the time to call and was honest with the workers. I was a gun store clerk for 7 years as well as working on their gun range helping shooters, etc and I'm amazed these workers are so unwilling to discuss the products they sell as well as knowing so little. A lot better than that target world place. The range is clean and has safety guides walking around making sure people aren't doing something stupid. You can pretty much shoot anything here less than a .50 Machine gun rounds. I shoot my shotgun and pistols here all the time. The range has around 20 lanes total, and those are divided between like 4 rifle lanes and 16 pistol lanes. You can shoot shotgun on the pistol lanes. Your first time at a lane will include a $3 waiver and watching a safety video. That is good for a year and is attached to your license. They have a few memberships as well, one is like 34.99/month and the other is 59.99/month. The main difference is you can check out any of their rental guns for free with the VIP membership and bring guests for free. But enough about the range, let's talk weapons. Their are plenty of weapons here for the discerning gun enthusiast. They have everything from Smith and Wesson to Heckler and Koch. I think their used gun selection is a little small, but they have a ton of brand new weapons for you to drool over. I have compared their prices to other gun stores in the area and they are pretty comparable on their prices. They also have accessories and holsters for a lot of different setups. They also sell safes, and range bags. There are two bathrooms and a soda machine. The employees are pretty laid back and there is no pressure to be felt in the atmosphere. I'm an avid shooter/gun collector/all around anything-that-goes-boom lover. Point Blank Cincinnati location, however, I will never again travel to. Now, don't get me wrong, Point Blank in general isn't too bad. I'd never buy a firearm there, considering the outlandish prices I've seen, but their ranges aren't bad and the range prices/ammo are decent. The main issue I have with Point Blank Blue Ash is the staff. 2 in particular. For the life of me I can't recall the names, but they were both working as the "range safety officers" (sarcasm smothered description) on 2 separate occasions I went to shoot at Point Blank. The first RSO wannabe I had dealings with allowed the inexperienced, unsafe, giggling females in the stall next to me to repeatedly flag most of the range, rapid fire with rounds hitting targets of stalls next to them, and continuously have a loaded gun with a finger on the trigger. When I mentioned to him that they had flagged me twice with a LOADED FIREARM, he laughed it off, went to talk to them, and turned around smiling as they had been flirting with him. I left with 50 unshot rounds because I didn't want to get shot while some kid refused to do his job and keep the range safe. The second RSO I had issues with was a few weeks after that. He seemed kind and knowledgeable at first, but kept hinting that he was in the military while I talked to him. He continuously mentioned things like "when I was in the desert they had us shooting____ or doing ____". He even made it a point to try to explain a new grip technique that "they use in the military". When I asked him what branch he was in, he stuttered for a moment and said, "Oh I wasn't actually in." This isn't a big deal. He wasn't lying. He never said he was. But he was so heavily implying it that it was really annoying. Ridiculous prices, unsafe range safety officers, and one rude employee made my experiences with this Point Blank location so negative I'll never go again. I'll take the 30 minute drive up to the Dayton location if I feel like going to Point Blank. My recommendation? Go to an outdoor range like Spring Valley or use the Dayton Point Blank over this one. read more

I was able to find a decent deal on groupons for 29 dollars which includes 10$ for ammunition, 1 hr lane for up to two people, a free handgun/rifle rental, and they also provide ear and eye protection for up to two people. My wife and I came to this location and we were amazed on how clean and how friendly the staff was, I saw a gun I liked but I had friends that came with me ready to go into the shooting range so I asked a lady that was on staff that I wanted to buy a particular gun that was in the case I told her I didn't want it to be sold when I got back from shooting, so she allowed me to be able to go shoot and she put the gun I really wanted off to the side until I came back to buy it and it's a fantastic gun, and everyone on staff was armed with a gun We felt soo safe even inside the shooting range. read more

Used Point Blank for a fundraiser/gun giveaway for a non profit. Bought 9 guns total from them. The process for buying the guns changed throughout the deal, getting worse and worse for the non profit I was trying to help. The staff (entry level) seemed fine, management was HORRIBLE!!! Unresponsive and dismissive. I have the emails... I realize I only spent 3 to 4 thousand dollars there but I expected much better responses and solutions than management offered.
