So far, so good! I've been looking for a range that is outdoors and allows a bit of movement from pistol to rifle to shotgun. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. The place is clean and the shooters are safe. There's nothing like shooting outdoors regardless of weather. Some might complain about a monthly fee. However, ~$35 a month is trivial if you're used to paying $40 a week for per-use range time charged by the hour. In the typical range, you cant move, switching bays is a chore and wastes your range time, and drawing from holster is frowned upon and/or not allowed. Not to mention rapid fire draws the attention of everyone in the place. Not here. For ~$35 a month (half that for veterans) you can shoot from 9am to 9pm any day of the week for as long as your ammo budget allows. Some would say Impact is for serious shooters, which is true. But I don't limit it to serious shooters. $35 at an indoor range in town would be 2 hours. Here, you shoot all you want. As well, I don't care what the weather is - shooting outdoors is the most therapeutic activity a shooter could ask for. 30º and cloudy? I'd rather be on the range than inside stationary at a lane. A little cold is good for the heart. Don't even get me going on shooting steel. Reactive targets are so much more impressive than just paper... but you can shoot paper if you want. Either way, Impact has fulfilled all my needs as far as a range goes. It's a little out of the way for me (40 minute drive) but I can spend more than 1 hour hanging out, shooting, shooting the $%^@ with my buddies, and not have to worry about the clock. I recently attended the Essential Pistol course held at Impact Shooting Center and taught by Shane Cardwell. I found it to be the single best handgun course of instruction I have ever received. Shane Cardwell is obviously a fantastic shooter, but his instructional skills are right up there as well. Tremendous detail was presented on the what, how and why without being dogmatic. I attended as an LEO using a duty rig and felt just welcome and at home as anywhere even though I was among the best shooters I've had the pleasure to witness in person. I knew where I stood going in (needing plenty of help), and I was not disappointed. Shane is a superb teacher and coach - he doesn't just spew information at you, but explains, demonstrates, observes closely, and brings your attention to details you need to be picking up on - and then helps with corrections. This is all done in a friendly and engaging manner. Shane also gives just the right amount of encouragement to keep you motivated to improve. I paid for the class and ammo out of pocket and drive 3.5 hours with an overnight stay to take this course, and it was well worth every bit of time and money. In fact, it's a ridiculous value for firearms training - highly recommended. read more

I went to Tactical Intelligence Group to complete the requirements for my CCW. What I expected it to be a very long and boring day... turned out to be one of my best! Yes, I will admit it was a long day however the instructors kept it going and taught the material in a manner that allows you to really absorb it. The patience shown to each question was amazing. I felt like I could ask anything without the fear of sounding like a complete amateur. That means a lot when you're learning about topics that you never really gave a great amount of thought to. On the range that same patience and knowledge was shown making the learning a true pleasure. I assumed I would go for my CCW thank each of them for their time and part ways... but now I am going to complete each of their progressive course offerings! By the end of the day I felt that I was able to have a take away from each instructor that I met and also that each instructor truly cared about my skill and honing it. 2 of my daughters & I took our CCW class through Impact Shooting Ctr & TIG Trng. We were so impressed with the instructors, Valerie & John, along with their method of training, that we became members! They were all about safety and tied it with real life scenarios. The ONLY place that we found that trains to draw from a holster! We've since taken more classes, including today's "Female Fundamentals" class instructed by Valerie & Carly. Highly recommend this class! It's a great combination of classroom and field training. My wife and I attended the Tactical Pistol Level II class. The experience was fantastic. The team of instructors is first rate. Their guidance comes from years of experience and is invaluable, even for someone who has been shooting for years. Also, they really go the extra mile to make newer shooters and ladies feel comfortable. Having a female instructor on staff was very beneficial for my wife, as some aspects of carrying and shooting are slightly different for women. I personally developed new skills and was shown corrections for my areas of weakness. I can't say enough about the staff and the overall experience. Went here to get my CCW training, i was prepared for a loooong boring day.. to my surprise though, it was tons of fun. hearing all the stories from each individual instructor. Mister's stories were very fascinating and Ryan and Chad both shared interesting details on real life scenarios! the class taught me a lot of things that i never knew about conceal carry and laws that i have to abide by. also since im cross dominate aiming... i have better and more accurate groupings from canting my grip. if you are interested in getting a conceal carry permit. learn from these guys. its fun, and very very imforative! plus i want tickets to abs mma next friday ;) read more

After the basics were down, T.I.G. went above and beyond... We ran through different scenarios to learn how to shoot, re-load, and clear any malfunctions in our handguns while walking... something people never think they'll be able to do. The instructors are extremely alert to safety issues, so I felt completely safe the entire time. I left feeling competent and capable of how to safely protect myself and my family. TIG was referred to me by a friend. I started my adventure with the CCW class with John and Valerie. They were very patient and made sure I understood before moving forward. This was my first CCW class with TIG and the best one yet. I needed to get back to basics for my renewal and brush up on changes in the laws. Valerie and Jon were great. The class was engaging and exactly what I needed. The range time was two hours of shooting instead of watching others and taking turns at shooting. My previous CCW classes had 20 min of actual shooting and the rest was watching the other students shoot. I definitely recommend this organization! read more

Great place to take your CCW class. These guys are very professional and certainly know their stuff. I (surprisingly) enjoyed the in depth and involved class room discussions. 12 hours flew by much faster than I had anticipated. After such a great experience for CCW class, I am definitely planning on taking the level 2 handgun training course. read more
