I've taken several advanced pistol classes here, and I can say they are the best! The instructors, (Bo, Ryan, Davina) are simply awesome and provide safe practical training without being a range Nazi. So far, so good! I've been looking for a range that is outdoors and allows a bit of movement from pistol to rifle to shotgun. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. The place is clean and the shooters are safe. There's nothing like shooting outdoors regardless of weather. Some might complain about a monthly fee. However, ~$35 a month is trivial if you're used to paying $40 a week for per-use range time charged by the hour. In the typical range, you cant move, switching bays is a chore and wastes your range time, and drawing from holster is frowned upon and/or not allowed. Not to mention rapid fire draws the attention of everyone in the place. Not here. For ~$35 a month (half that for veterans) you can shoot from 9am to 9pm any day of the week for as long as your ammo budget allows. Some would say Impact is for serious shooters, which is true. But I don't limit it to serious shooters. $35 at an indoor range in town would be 2 hours. Here, you shoot all you want. As well, I don't care what the weather is - shooting outdoors is the most therapeutic activity a shooter could ask for. 30º and cloudy? I'd rather be on the range than inside stationary at a lane. A little cold is good for the heart. Don't even get me going on shooting steel. Reactive targets are so much more impressive than just paper... but you can shoot paper if you want. Either way, Impact has fulfilled all my needs as far as a range goes. It's a little out of the way for me (40 minute drive) but I can spend more than 1 hour hanging out, shooting, shooting the $%^@ with my buddies, and not have to worry about the clock. Just wrapped up day 2 of the essential pistol class with Shane. This is the second class I have taken here, the first of which was my CCW class with Billy. I cannot stress this enough.. these guys know their s***. Great instruction from both Billy in my last class and Shane in this one. Both pushed me to really squeeze out more performance in basically every aspect of shooting. The knowledge is great, the instruction is clear and objective, and I've never felt like anyone was being talked down to at all. The facility is great, I've been a member for a few months now and sure it's a bit pricey compared to your average range, but this isn't your average range. In all reality it's worth every penny. So long as you can get to the range somewhat regularly it's 100% worth it. Highly highly highly recommend this range, and their classes. Top notch. read more

I just received notification that my most recent Yelp review was removed due to "promotional aspects". I can only assume the owner complained and had it removed because it hit a little close to home. That being said, below is the post that was removed without the promotional aspects. You response is BS. As opposed to getting into a he said she said I will simply escalate my responses on my experience here and post on a few other internet review boards... "You are right, you are not a typical range, you are interested in selling EXPENSIVE "tactitard" classes and taking advantage of Ohio's BS CCW laws. Since attending TIG I have been to a few other ranges so allow me to point out a few significant differences: 1. TIG claims "We are not your standard range..." Really? Then why would you charge your members $37.50/month for the outdoor range which you really can only use 9 months out of the year due to local weather? REMOVED PROMOTIONAL STATEMENT REPLACED WITH COMPANY X Company X has an INDOOR range and you pay per use, not $37.50/month. 2. Company X offers the same courses and additional courses that TIG doesn't offer. 3. Friendly staff, I don't feel this needs any explanation. 4. Company X has a retail shop. There are several others in the Tri-State that I suggest you give a serious look before wasting $37.50/month on an outdoor range "not range" you can only really use 9 months per year. Of course, if you just like rude people, over paying and petty ownership then TIG might be your best bet!! " That being said, I would like the owner to know she will NOT have the last word on my review and this will continue to escalate on other boards until she goes away. All off this could have been prevented with a little customer service on her behalf. It is a shame Yelp does not allow for 0 star ratings or negative star ratings because she has certainly earned it. read more

I had never taken a shooting class before and I attended their defensive pistol Workshop that was 4 hours long. There are eight other students and four instructors, which was a great ratio for someone like me that needed additional help. The instructors were patient and really, really help me to improve throughout the day! I would highly recommend attending the class here!! read more

Went here to get my CCW training, i was prepared for a loooong boring day.. to my surprise though, it was tons of fun. hearing all the stories from each individual instructor. Mister's stories were very fascinating and Ryan and Chad both shared interesting details on real life scenarios! the class taught me a lot of things that i never knew about conceal carry and laws that i have to abide by. also since im cross dominate aiming... i have better and more accurate groupings from canting my grip. if you are interested in getting a conceal carry permit. learn from these guys. its fun, and very very imforative! plus i want tickets to abs mma next friday ;) read more

My husband and I took a concealed carry course yesterday with Shane and Carly and it was an incredible experience! We learned a lot through the online class time we had over Zoom Conference Meetings (due to Covid 19) and were able to ask questions. After the online class was over, we headed to the outdoor range. They have done so much work to the property and it's very inviting and clean. I don't have a lot of experience with guns but wanted to take the class with my husband so I was a little nervous. Shane made my husband and I feel very comfortable and he pointed out things we needed to fix to make our technique better. He was an incredible instructor to have and made sure everyone was following the safety procedures they have for the range. I would recommend doing your concealed carry through them! Those classes can be long and boring but they made it enjoyable and very informative. They definitely know their stuff! Highly recommend! read more

Really excellent training. Tactical Training Center was recommended by a police officer I know. I took the first 2 courses and my accuracy and speed increased dramatically. I've learned to shoot in different and realistic scenarios and have gained a solid confidence that I can now handle this weapon I hold. They add meaningful tactical training for the average citizen within both courses- to prepare you for what might come. They hold special training sessions for the police so they know what they are doing. It's a completely different feel from a "Point Blank" type facility. They don't sell any guns or gear there. Their focus is just to train you well. read more

I was referred to TIG from a friend in local law enforcement who spoke highly of the facility, and I got to see how truthful his praise was during my orientation class yesterday. I, like many I'd expect, we're blown away at the level of class and professionalism. Firearms are a world of snobs more often than not, where if you aren't in their good ole boys club you aren't welcome. Ryan and Davina were very professional, but also excellent teachers and personable. Not only is it the only facility in the Greater Cinci area with the incredible physical setups you can read about on their site, but I would go as far to say it is also the only range I have been to in the same geographical area where the instructors are as helpful as they are knowledgeable. I also REALLY like there is a much bigger culture of "normal citizens" using firearms responsibly and skillfully, and not so much tactical action heroes dressed head to toe in the latest and greatest gear, however Ryan and Davina still do work with high level LEO and military members as well.
