I visited Randy's auto shop because of an oil leak I was aware of and needed an inspection. Owner barely spent five minutes looking at the car before informing me about the obvious oil leak and suggesting a replacement for a specific part, which you could see the leak at plain sight. He then presented a quote for the parts and labor, which turned out to be quite expensive, and mentioned a $60 charge for the inspection. I asked if the $60 inspection fee would be waived if I chose to have the repairs done at his shop, it wasn't charge in addition to the labor costs. Feeling dissatisfied with the service and pricing, I decided to seek another repair shop. They conducted a thorough inspection by lifting the car and carefully checking for any issues. They identified not only the obvious oil leak but also discovered transmission oil and front cover gasket leaks. The best part was that they didn't charge me anything for the inspection, whether I opted to leave the car with them for repairs or not. Given the significant price difference and the level of service I received, I chose to have my car repaired at the second shop, paying almost half of Randy's initial quote. Considering my experience, I would not recommend Randy's shop to others. read more

He quoted a great price, (front panel needed to be removed and dealer was charging an arm and a leg)scheduled it quickly and was both professional and courteous. I rarely leave reviews, but will if I have an extremely positive or negative experience. With that said, I think the most important quality for any auto shop to have is honesty. I took my '95 Toyota Camry in to Randy's because it was dying shortly after starting. Despite the computer diagnostic tool being ineffective due to the year of my car, Randy took time to diagnose the problem the old fashioned way, fixed the issue, and charged me an amount that surprised me... in a great way. I wasn't nickel and dimed, the effort he put forth to fix the problem was easily worth a charge, but Randy sent me on my way with only the diagnostic fee. Honesty and integrity, Randy has it in bunches and I will definitely be referring others to his shop. read more

I was looking for an auto repair shop after having my vehicle serviced by the dealer. They had found things needing to be repaired that was going to cost over $2500. I found Randy's shop when I requested a quote from multiple shops. He responded quickly and I made an appointment. He checked my car and found one thing I didn't need that the dealer said I did. I don't know if it was the car that we brought in that Randy felt the need to over charge us or what. We brought in my son Bmw and it all it needed was the bottom rad hose to be replace. Rven thoe it was new we believe the prior Machanic did a bad job so we sought out Randy Machanic shop based on a friend referral. I explain to Randy what was going on and he and I could visually see what the problem was it was just the hose. I left the car at his shop(hint) I drove it there, so no major issues right. Well after two days I called Randy to get an update. He was a little rude as if I was bothering him. Red flag but I still continue business with him as I wanted my so. To get his car so he can get out of mines. Finally several days later Randy text me and stated the hose was the wrong one and that he can get the right one from BMW and that there where other hoses he will need to replace. First time I heard about other hoses needing to be replace. I was like oh well that should be too costl. Randy told use his labor would be $160, a little high for just replacing original one hose but ok we going to do it we just want the car done, oh but know he tells us the hose will be $330 at BMW(what!) I ask for the invoice on the parts from BMW he refuse to give me a copy or even show me. So you do the math , the labor and parts are a total of $490 right? Oh no Mr Randy was not done with us he wanted to continue to drain our pockets. He called me back and said the fuel pump was cracked and fuel was running out. The strange this is we never smelled fuel nor did BMW of Arlington where we normally go and the vehicle was just inspected less than a year ago at BMW. So when that didn't work he pointed out another issue. That he said would be an additional $400 dollars to fix. At this point another Red flag is going off in my head. So we decline and decided to just pay him for the hose replacement, remember the price was to $490 guess what it wasn't he charged us $589 dollars oh yes a real rip off. Here is the good part I ask for the hose he took off and I took them to another shop to examine and they said the hoses where not damage and I called BMW that he said he brought the hose for and again he lied to me of the prices. That make sense why he didn't want to show or give us an copy of the invoice that he supposed had purchased the hose from BMW for over $300 dollars. Point is this guy is not a good person and I will never use his service again and I would not recommend him to others! read more

In general my motto is that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. I'll make an exception in this case. --- Randy's website states that he works on classic cars. I swing by there to see if he could work on my '71 Cougar with which I was having problems with the rear lights. Sure...I got set up with a drop off appointment and he'll take look at the issue. If he would've told me right up front that this was beyond his capability I wouldn't have held it against him. Having my garage kept antique car sitting out back in that poor weather for 5 weeks was unacceptable. During this rainy weather ants had even found their way into my trunk!!! On my weekly calls I would get the response of "I haven't had time" or "I haven't been able to locate the problem". Then his office assistant called me to tell me I had to order my own parts for the repair which came to a total of $458.23 (parts, shipping & tax). Come to find out that those parts alone weren't gonna fix the issue, but that would've also included dropping the rear bumper which apparently didn't happen. Between the poor work ethics and noncommunication this whole experience was very frustrating. I had even dropped off my 2 Chilton Manuals for him to look at! Not once was I told during these 5 weeks to pick up my car, because he wasn't able to do the repair. If I hadn't told him that I was coming to pick up my car it would most likely still be sitting out there...but waiting for what? In addition I paid for 2 Uber rides for drop off and pick up of my car. At least he didn't present me with a bill for the mess that was created. read more

A few months ago had to replace the fan for my suv. We originally used an aftermarket part but Randy was able to identify the problem quickly and get me and my family back on the road in a day. His prices were reasonable and I definitely recommend. He's def our go to guy from now on. read more
