These guys specialize in Toyota and Lexus. They are a better value than the dealership and convenient to Duncanville, Desoto, Cedar Hill, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, and other places close to those mentioned. You have to book an appointment but over all I feel that it's worth the wait. read more

Straight forward, no nonsense repair shop, happy with the results on my 2010 Toyota Sequoia, but the wait time for appointment is ridiculous. read more

Several people have recommended this auto repair shop to me. They only work on Lexus/Toyota cars and I had a great experience. They are older and no nonsense and they are detailed and precise. The only downside is they are only open M-T and they are by appointment only. My car runs so much better and will continue to have them work on my car. read more

I brought my wife's SUV here for a second opinion, after the last place told me to get rid of it without an explanation of why. Dave and his team diagnosed the problem within 20 minutes. I had major engine issues. They gave me a quote for a new motor. I proceeded with the work. Now it wasn't the smoothest process for them, but they stuck to there quote and did not attempt to get more money out of me. The car runs better than when I first bought it. I will be servicing my car here from now on. This place is top shelf!!! read more

They work specifically work with Toyota Lexus and Scion. Mr Best and his team are friendly, professional and efficient. I've been going to him now for over 5 years and I've had a myriad of things replaced on my late model Lexus ES350. read more

We were having some issues with our 2016 Civic (bought from Toyota) and brought it to the Toyota dealership first. We were quoted a ridiculous amount so thought we would call Cedar Hill Automotive because we have used them many times in the past and they have always been professional, polite and reasonably priced. After some explanation of the car issues, I was told they would call me back. Long story short they looked into the issue with our car directly with Honda and found out that it was in fact all still under warranty. They put more effort into helping us then the place we bought the car from and Cedar Hill doesn't stand to make anything from this interaction. I am so appreciative and will make them our first stop from now on! read more

Dave "Knows" Best, is the man. i saw with my own eyes. a customer come to him told him the issue. he opened the hood instructed the person to turn the car on. after a minute he instructed them to turn off. he went to the tool box got a wrench and a screw driver worked so hard to reach a SMALL hose in a hard to reach part of the motor. showed us a hose and gently bent it, one time, and showed us a hair line crack in a curve of the hose. the car had been in front of several shops and techs costing lots of money the problem didnt go away and he fixed it in minutes. i have nothing to gain telling this story but truly amazing......you can bet you will NOT find a better tech or a better guy........ read more

I've been going to Dave for over a year and have yet to be disappointed. We have a 2000 Tacoma and a 2001 RX300. For me quality is very important but I do not want to spend an exorbitant amount of money on repairs and maintenance. Dave is courteous, fair, honest and skillful. He's also very affordable. That is why I am willing to drive from Plano to Cedar Hill for car repairs. I just do not trust anyone else. When Dave performs a repair on our vehicle I am almost certain not to have the same issue twice. In my opinion having that peace of mind is priceless. read more

I took my Sc430 to David for the timing belt change. I had to make an appt due to Covid but that is the best way to go. He is honest and very knowledgeable! His prices cannot be beat either. He checked over all major parts on my car. Best kept secret in the metroplex! read more

If you own a Toyota, Lexus, or Scion, you should get to know David Best. In fact, if you don't own one, you should buy one so you can bring it to the very best (see what I did there) mechanic in town! I have owned nothing but Toyotas since David opened up in Cedar Hill, and he is the main reason. Imagine if you had a trusted friend who also happened to be an auto expert. That's the way we feel about David. Fair prices, great work, attention to detail, and a great attitude; these are the things that make Cedar Hill Automotive special. I trust him completely, and that is worth a lot in this world. read more

I called frantically b/c I was heading back to Austin at 5:30pm from Dallas and my service light came on my Lexus- the woman I spoke with there was willing to assist and explained the reasoning for my service light (oil change). I could safely make the trip back to Austin for it to be service and because of the hurry I appreciated that! I didn't get it serviced there but definitely would have if I had more time. They are knowledgeable, courteous and honest and that is what I look for in my mechanic. Thank you Cedar Hill Automotive for putting my mind at ease! Stephanie read more

Yes, the reviews are accurate. Within just a few minutes, they can diagnose and recommend the best solution. The pricing is at market rates, but with exceptional expediency and honesty. -R. Jackson read more

Cedar Hill Automotive has been my go to for all my owned Lexus and Toyota vehicles since 2009. From the very first appointment I had with them, I felt comfortable that I was not being taken advantage of and they were being honest. I love that I can get a bumper to bumper inspection with my oil changes which keeps me on top of necessary repairs and repairs that I can plan out. That has been the best thing for my budget (pocketbook) . I cannot imagine buying another model of vehicle as long as a place like this is around. They take such great care me and I would refer anyone that has a Lexus, Toyota or Scion to them. They are Master Technicians, ASE Certified and it shows. Plus they genuinely do care about you being a returning/lifetime customer and referring customer which is the best compliment you can give. read more

I concur with all reviews posted! This place has taken care of my Lexus for over 8 yrs and continues to do so. David Best, is the BEST, and one of the most honest mechanics I've known. Ladies, you will be safe here! read more

If you have been looking for a trustworthy auto repair shop for your Toyota... then this IS the place. I have been using David for about two to three years now. He is straight forward, honest, and a very knowledgeable man. On several occasions I have watched David talk to customers going into great detail about what the problem was/is with their cars. His resolve was simple, inexpensive and in one case NO CHARGE!. I'm not saying that David is going to be any cheaper than the next guy, but I am saying David WON'T take advantage of you. He fixes what's wrong and nothing more. You get your money's worth from David. The name of this business should be, "Integrity Automotive". If there were 6 stars I would have rated him as such! read more

I have been going to Cedar Hill Automotive for several years. I can honestly say that David Best, Trudy and the entire team deliver an exemplary level of customer service. First, Trudy always provides a warm friendly greeting. The waiting area is quaint and comfortable with TV, coffee and water. Mr. Best and his team do a great job diagnosing issues and contacting you timely. They handle all repairs and service in a very timely manner. I drive a 2002 RX and the quotes are extremely reasonable. I have not had to take my car back for work previously done. This is a small business in a small city that makes you feel at home. I would highly recommend Cedar Hill Automotive to anyone. Keep up the great work! read more

I booked service here for my Land Cruiser based on all the great reviews. I would like to add my 5 stars to the list. The shop is neat and clean from the office to the back. Organized, calm and professional. The work was diagnosed, estimated and completed early and on budget. David is the anti-salesman. He is very honest and the shop does great work. We will also take our Sienna to this shop when service is required. read more
