I brought my car into their shop in January for a check engine light with various symptoms wrong. I got the car back three times with them saying that all is well. The check engine light lasted about a week each time before the check engine light came on again with the same problems as before. Each time Edwardo said they had a different code for the problem with my car. He was trying to justify charging me more $$$, each time I would bring my car back. Initially the main computer check indication was the RGR valve which was replaced twice by them. Edwardo complained that my spark plugs were not the right ones and that I had something to do with it. The car came with those spark plugs. Then Edwardo complained that I was driving it too much and there was another separate problem, which was not true. After $3,000 in repairs, they charged me, my car still has the check engine light with the same symptoms my car had when I first brought it in January. They once had my car parked in the lot across the street in their yard for a month and Edwardo started patronizing me, got real combative when I complained they were not working on my car. Edwardo is the owner and does not know how to treat his customers. Everyone else that worked there were nice to me except one mechanic that was very short with me. The last time I took my car in for the same problems, they told me I need a new engine. This was May almost six months after I first brought my car in for repairs. This was after I already Paid $3,000 for nothing to show for the $3,000. I realized for sure they don't know what they are doing or they are a typical scam repair shop. I did not receive a refund and don't expect to. I might have to take them to court for my $3,000. Go some place else and do yourself some $$$ and frustration! read more

I brought my truck in because we thought the transmission was having problems. They said they did a transmission rebuild for $4500, after they had it for 6 weeks. Brought truck home and it did the same thing as before they fixed it. We called them and they said they would look at it again. They said they adjusted it. We took it home again. It was still doing the same thing. Took it back to them. They called and said it needed a module and they were looking for it. After two months, they still had not found the part. I asked what the part was, went online, found it in 10 minutes, and bought it. Brought it to them, and they put the new part on. Took the truck home and it's still doing what it was doing when I first brought it in for. Over all, I spent $5246 on a truck that does not work right and now has no reverse lights. They were working when we brought it in. read more

My car got a flat tire in Waxahachie, and it was Memorial Day weekend (2016.) I was caravanning on my way to Austin. The owner of Luckie's Auto Repair went above and beyond, although he was actually on his way out of town as well. He normally doesn't change tires, but he went to another shop, bought a tire for me and changed it. Meanwhile, I was able to go to Austin with a friend and come back in the afternoon before the shop closed to pick up my car. Honestly, Luckie's Auto Repair saved me that day. At the beginning of September 2016 On my way to work my car ran hot. I work in Waxahachie but my car stopped in Midlothian. After waiting for 2 hours for a tow truck my car was taken to Waxahachie Ford. For issues related to my water pump they quoted me $3400. Went to LUCKIE's owned by Richard LUCKIE. They provided my husband a quote over the phone for about $1400. It took about 4 days to repair my car. But when I got my car back the check engine light and A/C was not getting cold. After several days took my car back. They found the issue with my A/C reported it only needed freon. And reported the check engine light was only a sensor issue. That only took 1 day and was not charged. So overall an okay experience but a few issues. The location's office and work area is super dirty. When my car was returned it had oil on the inside and outside of my car, YUCK and the customer service was just so so. My experience at Waxahachie Ford was so much cleaner and had excellent customer service but we saved about $2000. I would say it was worth it. read more

I took my vehicle to this shop because of the great reviews. All I can say is they had my car for a month and every time I called to check the status Richard was less than pleasant. Like I was bothering him. The new mechanic says that what they charged me for was only partially done. Luckies has done work for me in the past there has never been a problem with the quality of their work. Last time I needed two oxygen sensors replaced. Richard the shop manager told me I could save some money buying the parts myself. There was some miscommunication and AutoZone may have given me the wrong parts. To sum it all up Richard asked me to bring the car back the next day and he would make it right. I don't usually write reviews but we had a terrible experience here. Our car was experiencing problems that we diagnosed correctly as a bad fuel pump. We purchased the part and were going to change it ourselves but couldn't access it easily so we took it in and asked them to use our part. They did it but the car was not fixed. After them diagnosing and fixing other things (fuel lines, fuel filter, etc.) and the car still not running properly they blamed it on the faulty fuel pump that we had purchased brand new and brought to them. They replaced it with a fuel pump of their own and it STILL did not work. Turns out they were installing it incorrectly the entire time. After all that hassle, and wasted time on our part, they charged us for all the work they had done! (fuel lines, fuel filter, and installation of fuel pump twice!) Poor customer service, poor management, and even worse mechanics. Go somewhere else. read more
