Red Oak Auto Repair Center is a beautiful new limestone and red brick building on Ovilla Road near where we live in Glenn Heights. They've been open a few months and we decided to drop by and present our truck's problem. We had been told that the EGR valve and gasket needed replaced and our usual oil change and simple repairs place would be unable to do it. We were greeted immediately by a friendly young man who introduced himself as Mo. Mo listened, understood what another place had to say about the issue and offered to do a free diagnostic while we waited. I have to say that the waiting area is more like a living room than your standard waiting area. There are two distinct areas. One side has a coffee bar with snacks and a refrigerator with drinks and water. The unisex restroom is on that side in the corner. There's a four kettle chair seating group with a table, rug and a wall TV. Across the room is a comfy long couch and two chair set with tables, large area rug and a wall TV. The light green walls were a wonderful change from automotive or industrial design and there was lots of natural light. Just a lovely airy welcoming room. We had showed up somewhere around closing time not knowing really that they would start on the repair. They choose to and in the end, we waited until they closed. They had to go buy a part and on the Ram 2006, the part was very difficult to get to and then get out, as it was rusted in place. Mo kept us aware of everything as it developed and offered to drive us home and bring the truck to us after the repair was done in the morning. We lived but a few miles away. The repair with tax, labor and parts was $324.75. They worked hard on this repair. This truck has never been housed in a garage. Dodge Rams live long but this is the second engine. It's been awhile since we have had a repair other than A/C or a turn signal. Given what Red Oak Auto Repair did for us and the great rapport we established, I can say we'll definitely be back!

Bobby isn't a jeffy lube. He is however, the most trust worthy mechanic in the town. Me and my family have been going to him for years. I can't tell you how many times Bobby has looked my mom in the eye and said. Lyn, grant can fix this himself you don't need to pay me to do it. The guy is a great diagnostician, and if it's something you can do on yourself he'll just be honest with you. One time my brother instead of going to him first decided they were gonna try and fix their car in the auto zone parking lot. Dumped a couple hundred dollars in parts trying to figure out what was wrong with it. They finally gave up and just towed it to Bobby's. He called back a few hours laughing "tell those knuckleheads, next time start with the cheapest fix, all that was wrong was a six dollar fuse." Didn't charge us nothing. It's so relieving to know your Mechanic is both skilled, and an honest god fearing man.

No, instead, I called CB and asked if they could help me fix some alignment issues on my Tesla Model 3 Performance (doom impending!) JAMES (bless this guy, the best) picks up from CB, told me I should take my car to Tesla (honestly), and he explained why & what's going on. With the information James gave me, I was able to safely research my problem and it was not related to the tires I just had put on, but the cameras need to recalibrate. I did that, car no longer wobbles. Thanks James - PS: I told James if this was what fixes the car, I would bring him $50 in cash. I called him back, going to pick up & bring him that money today (probably all in $1 bills, so it's funny).
