Five-Star Service & Honesty! I had an excellent experience at Discount Tire thanks to Senior Assistant Manager Kevin Hunter and his team. I brought in my mother's vehicle after being told one tire was dangerously low on tread. Kevin took the time to show me the tread readings and explain exactly what was needed without any pressure. I decided to purchase three new tires and also requested an alignment. When I returned later that afternoon, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had checked the alignment and found it was nearly perfect--so they didn't perform an unnecessary service or charge me for one. That level of honesty and integrity really stood out to me. They could have easily charged me, and I would have been none the wiser. I dropped the vehicle off around 1 PM without an appointment, and despite being extremely busy and working in 100+ degree Texas heat, they had everything taken care of by about 4:30 PM. I've used Discount Tire before and have always appreciated their tire warranty and great customer service, but this experience reinforced why I'll continue coming back. I brought my truck to Discount Tire for a routine tire rotation and balance. During the service, three of my hub caps were broken. I do want to recognize the employee for being honest and immediately informing me about the damage, which I appreciated.However, this is now the second time I've had an issue with this location damaging something on my wheels. Mistakes can happen, but when it becomes a recurring problem, it's hard for me to have confidence in the quality of the work being performed. My tire was low and my light was on so I had to take my car in to be serviced. I didn't have an appointment so I typically try to go super early in the morning around 8:30 so I wouldn't have to wait too long. Immediately as I walked in I was serviced, I explained my issue. Listen! Always get the warranty on your tires cause I had a nail in my tire and I only had to pay $20.. ( Who was happy was me!) I just knew I needed a new tire and wasn't sure if my warranty expired. So that was an unexpected surprise which they can pull that information up by your phone number. I also keep my paperwork in my car. The process took about 30 minutes and I was done! They also have a tracking system to see where you are in service. My tracker stated they was finished so I walked out and my car was driving up. The Discount Tire in Cedar Hill, Texas is really exceptional! I've gone there several times, and everyone was very professional, yet kind, respectful and very helpful. They are busy, of course. When you're good, you will be busy. But they offer options, like leaving your car, taking your name so you won't have to stand in a line to wait on someone to help you or making an appointment - which doesn't mean there won't be a wait, but you are recognized for your diligence in making the appointment. Thomas assisted me with an issue that a different DT created, but he was very nice, and accommodating and fixed the issue without hesitation!!! Lalo was also very nice and accommodating in honoring a quoted price, which was very helpful for me. Although I am very chose to a different DT, the Cedar Hill DT has my loyalty for life! Always appreciated the service they give. Very crowded normally, but they seem to do what they call to get you in and out as best they can. BUT, they play religious preaching over their music system. I don't want to hear it played at a loud volume and, since this is Texas in the summer, it's too hot to wait an hour outside. I've used them for 20 years. My Dad who is 71 was 100 miles from home and they refused to repair his tire. He stuck a temporary plug in the tire and was told that deemed the tire unrepairable. I'm here today to replace my wheel. I was greeted right as I walked in and assisted in less than 5 minutes. Scott (store manager) assisted me and had my issue identified in those 5 minutes. I paid for my new wheel and I'm waiting for it to be replaced. I've bent like 4 other wheels. Yes I am a terrible driver. They have the best price for a replacement. They also make sure my tire is good to go. I've replaced my tires here several times. Costco beat them out on price this last time but had they not I would've purchased here. The particular Yokohama tire I needed was an exclusive to their stores only.
