Randy's Donuts is one of the popular donut shop in Southern California. This location is in Pasadena. This is my first time ever trying Randy's D. And boy it's so good and mouthwatering. I had a coffee and a glazed donut. Coffee was decent; donut was perfect to my liking-not too sweet or overwhelming. Male staff was nice and competent. Prices were fair. Plenty of free parking spot. Overall, I had an okay experience.

3/26/26 Randy's Donuts Pasadena, CA... Went here early this morning after breaking my fast from a med appointment. Since it's opening day for our Back 2 Back MLB Champion LA Dodgers, I ordered the Bavarian Cream LA Dodger Blue Donut! I gave this to a special friend. I also ordered a Large Iced Maple Spice Coffee and a Maple Bar! Loved my Maple Craze! Lucas was such a cool and helpful employee!!! This place was super clean inside and outside. Some seating outside only in front. Parking in front is paid parking on Lake Ave. Not sure about the back. Please come check this place out!!!

The Friday Donut Run Club meets in front of Randy's Donut and start their 3 or 5 mile run 6:02 AM every morning. I haven't ran with this club in a while. After my run, I got their All-Day Combo. The All-Day combo includes a small coffee, ham & cheese croissant and 2 glazed donut holes. It's a quick meal to start my day and a treat to the 5 miles I ran. The donut holes are a lot bigger than the ones at other donut shops and are so fluffy. The glaze isn't overpowering - which pairs well with black coffee. The ham and cheese croissant is warmed up and very flaky. I was eating in my car and had to get out to shake off the crumbs because it was getting all over my car. Randy's Donuts are known for their novelty donuts. Those things look so massive. I need to give it a try the next time I'm around. There are plenty of parking in the back (especially 6 in the morning)

First time trying Randy's Donuts & it hit the spot indeed. Loved the way they baked or fried these donuts. It was really cooked to perfection and with love. Compliments to all the Bakers! The service here was nice, fast and efficient and very welcoming to their guest and all. I would definitely come back here and pretty sure buy more boxes of donuts. Ambiance here is welcoming and small but that's okay. The business may be small but they're MIGHTY!

The donut was good! can't ever go wrong with a maple bar, especially when it has bacon on it. Unfortunately for this location, you won't find a giant donut statue on top of the shop. Service was quick and friendly. parking can be found on the street or in the shared lots they have in the back.

I arrived just a bit before closing, so of course the donuts weren't the freshest, but that was to be expected. Nonetheless, they were sweet and delicious. We got an assorted dozen box, ranging from classic to fancy donuts. Every donut tasted good, the only minor issue was that a few seemed like they had been sitting out all day, which was understandable. Overall, it was very enjoyable! We also tried a few of the drinks, and they were all on the sweet side, so we diluted them with water. Definitely a nice spot to satisfy your sweet tooth!

After having lunch across the street, I was looking for some sweets, and saw Randy's Donuts. I've heard about them, how they've been an LA institution for many years, so I wanted to try them since this location is much closer than the original in LA. It's nestled between 2 other businesses that seem to share some outdoor seating. The interior is small and narrow, like a galley. No seating is available inside. The guy at the counter was friendly and gave us time to look over the choices. The menu overhead breaks the donuts down into different categories, like premium or plain, and are priced accordingly. Peeking into the glass display case, there was a small flying bug that landed on what I originally wanted (coffee raised donut). Not wanting to leave empty handed, I braved it and got a bacon maple long john, and a raised maple churro. The maple bacon was very average because it wasn't very soft and a bit dry. The maple glaze flaked off in pieces, so it made me feel it had a lot of time to dry up and harden. The churro donut was a softer donut with the same maple glaze, but didn't crack or flaked off like the bacon donut. However, the churro was very hard and rubbery. Definitely not fresh. We tossed all of the churros because it wasn't edible. Hindsight, I should've just gotten something boring like an old fashioned. As popular as Randy's is, I just happened to pick a couple of less than average items. Well, I finally tried them and now I know.

A good donut says a lot about a city and when I landed in LA my friends said that was the local donut spot to try. Randy's did not disappoint. We got there near closing time so a few things were sold out they said but still plenty of options. The donut was amazing. Had a bite to it but still pillowy-soft (if that were a word). He was patient even though it was almost closing time helping us determine what to get. The inside of the store is small but clean but there is outside seating area shared by 5 guys.

Parking lot can be hard to get spaces during peak times, donuts were really good tried seasonal apple crumble like an apple fritter but put into a traditional donut. And the maple bacon bar you cannot go wrong. The cashier was nice but seemed pre occupied with other staff conversations. Donut shop is small with a hallway to enter in back and a small seated area in front.

I've come here a few times and also had them delivered and their donuts have not been fresh multiple times. They have tasted day old. The donuts are large and good IF they are fresh so if you want to give them a try, walk in and ask them how fresh the donuts are.

Street parking is terrible during the day. Unless your here super early

Love love love their donuts. They have amazing selections to choose from and they have made it so easy to order them online. When waiting in line to pick up our box they actually checked the donuts and replaced the one they thought was over cooked or burnt. The bacon maple donut is insane but my favorite so far is the matcha donut. Please give this place a visit, you won't regret it. read more

What a great addition to Pasadena! I have been a fan of Randy's donuts from their other locations, but there's something special about this new location. The line may seem daunting for a box of donuts, but they are well worth the wait. From classic raised donuts to specialty decorated fruit loops and churros, they offer a treat for the whole family! I highly recommend the bacon maple long john, butter crumb raised and if you're a nutella fan, you have to try the nutella raised! Not only do they have the best donuts, they have the friendliest staff. I was served a cup of cold water while waiting in line (during 90+ degree weather) and they do a great job of staying patient with their customers since picking out a dozen donuts can be slightly overwhelming once you get inside! I highly recommend trying out this one of a kind donut shop and support your local businesses! They are family owned and operated, the best kind! read more

Great donuts! Suggestion, try everything once. Caution skip the coffee, you will find it mildly offensive. These are not coffee people, in fact I think they hate coffee. Had their ice coffee and it almost ruined my donut buzz. Getting back to the donuts, their basic dough formula is so good that even the plain is delicious. Frosting to donut ration is alittle high for my taste but some people like that. For now there is a long line, stick it out it is worth it. In closing, eat more donuts! read more

Not sure of the hype here... Went here twice this week in the morning for fresh donuts and was served yesterday's old hard and flavorless donuts. Way overpriced donuts here. Smaller shops seem to offer fresher and less expensive donuts than this place. Obviously selling you a name with nothing to back it up. You cannot get fresh donuts here at 10am so there is obviously something wrong!!! Will not be going back. I highly recommend NOT stopping by, the hassle of parking, one entrance and one exit with a line makes it very inconvenient to pick up a reasonably priced fresh donut. Randys has the best donuts ever. The bacon maple is the best donut i have ever had. It is really good and the bacon and maple are a great combo. The butter milk is really good too i like it so much it is thicc and tasty with lots of sugar. I love the butter crumb too it is great. another food that i like is the coffee it is very tasty and is premium coffee . The blueberry cake is delicious and you should get it. The one donut that i don't recommend is the m and m it is kinda over priced and does not taste as good as some of the other ones. GO USC Fight On! read more

NOT LIKE THE ORIGINAL RANDYS! I love Randy's donuts near LAX and was happy to know it came to Pasadena. Unfortunately, the donuts at this location are a miss. We ordered the bear claw and the dough was still raw/uncooked near the center. When I told the worker her response was simply "thanks for the feedback" and kept of selling the undercooked donuts. AND they were sold out of apple fritters by 9 am! Looks like I will be headed back to local donut shops. Very disappointing. read more

Went to Randys earlier this week with my little boy and the cashier was extremely rude. She was an older white women with glasses and her costumer service was terrible. Amazing donuts! We got the bacon maple bar, chocolate cream, sprinkles, old fashion, and blueberry glazed. My favorite were the bacon maple bar and blueberry glazed. The donuts had a crisp texture when you first bite into it but are moist and fluffy inside. Parking isn't great since it's on a busy street with many restaurant. We were looking and got a space in front but I'd be concerned about finding parking on a busy weekend. read more

If that young lady doesn't work there, I would have given it a 4 stars to Randy. Here's the story. I hardly buy donuts before but found Randy's Donuts have great substance to their donuts so I went a few times, I usually buy 2 donuts every time. But one time I decided to treat my friend's family a box of mixed donuts & 2 extra for myself. Well, I was happy to tip the staff when the tab was over $20. But after that time, I have been buying 2 singles each time, this same young lady asked me to touch the screen to tip her for my 2 donuts which the total came out to be like $2.70. First, I paid with my Apple Pay bc I didn't want to touch anything just to avoid the exposure of COVID19. Second, I really don't know how much should I tip her for merely a small tab of $2.70. I've been there few times, none of the workers asked me to tip them except this same young lady. Every time she would insist to have me to tab on the screen to tip her. It was so annoying to have someone to be so persistent. Note: I usually tip servers 20% but definitely not a total bill of $2.70 & to someone make me to do something I'm reluctant to. In fact, I actually recall I did tip the first time with my 2 donuts. Note: Randy's Donuts are actually great donuts. read more

My excitement turned into disappointment very quickly. I preordered my daughter a birthday doughnut 2 days before her birthday celebration as I was told to do. Well when I went in to place the order, Michelle was extremely helpful and even went above and beyond by printing out a picture of the exact way that I wanted it decorated and she attached it to my order. Low and behold the pick up day rolled around and when I asked about my order no one seemed to know what I was talking about!! When Michelle finally came down, as soon as she saw me she began to shake her head and apologize because believe it or not, she forgot to expedite my order to someone that day!!! How does that happen?? I think she's even the owner or manager?? She couldn't stop apologizing and went as far as offering to put some of the big donuts together to create some kind of cake donut! ‍Of course I was extremely angry and repeatedly asked for my refund because I had 1 hour to go buy another cake for my daughter! She was giving me all kinds of excuses, which to me meant nothing because, I'm sorry a big franchise like this not being able to complete an order placed days in advance? Sorry, no excuses. So please, if you're thinking about being creative and replacing a birthday cake with a "donut cake" from Randy's, just go to good old Coldstone and pick one up there, they saved my birthday cake drama!! First time at Randy's. They just opened in Pasadena. Waited in line and the donuts were great. We felt super rushed when we finally got inside. Went with the kids and of course they couldn't make up their minds, but that's just being a kid. So many options to choose from. The staff forgot one of our donuts. Not sure if we got charged for it. They should have confirmed our order before, but again we felt super rushed like we only had a couple minutes to order and run out. The space is narrow. Not their fault. There are going to be lines everywhere due to COVID restrictions, but we should still feel like we can take our time to see what we want and order. Also, one of our chocolate milks was old! My son said it tasted weird and I tried it. It smelled gross and tasted gross! So, our first time wasn't the best, but I'll still be back! Perfectly delicious donuts! First time trying Randy's Donuts and we'll definitely be back for more. Also they serve Jone's coffee and have oat milk, making for a delicious oat milk coffee. Everyone was so nice and they even threw in an extra free donut because the wait was long! Will definitely be back, but definitely will order ahead for pickup to avoid the line. read more

These donuts are addictive! So many delicious flavors. They're more expensive than the National chain donuts but so much tastier. They don't have so much sugar that they make your teeth hurt like some of their competitors. We love the classics especially the filled donuts, but they are all delicious depending on what mood you're in. We're so glad they came to Pasadena! read more

Amazing! recommend the Maple bacon bar heated up! And the Crondy, which you have never had anything so buttery! And the butter crumb donut taste just like those Sara lee coffee cakes, I had when I was little! I haven't even gotten to the s'mores or or red velvet yet. You just need a bite from each one and you are in donut heaven! read more

Garlic fries are VERY garlicky and the fries themselves are on the softer side, kind of like Wing Stop fries. This was my first time here and the parking situation was quite interesting--no parking lines, try not to block others in, a real parking free for all. There's maybe 6 tables inside and another 4-5 in a covered patio outside.

Unfortunately I was already too far to go back to them. But I just can't believe they were charging a 4-day-old salad $13 pre tax as if it were fresh. I think I'd probably do better with fast food salad. Now I'm also worried about getting sick from the bites I took. I definitely won't come back. Who knows what do they put in their smoothies..: The additional star is for a wrap I got a while ago that tasted good.

If I would give less I would. The customer service there was atrocious. There is this group of three guys calling each other the N-word when I was walking in from the back door. It made me feel so uncomfortable. They would have the music so loud I could not hear myself think. I went with my young niece and nephew to just go out and give them that special memory of going to a donut shop to, see all the different flavors they have compared to when I was a kid. I am severely disappointed that they would do that in front of young ones. I will not take my brothers kids there anymore. When I went back to report about this behavior I walked in to a matured lady with blonde hair that was quite kind to say the least. Nothing like biting into a fresh hot donut with a cup of coffee in the morning. When you get the complete opposite it's such a let down. Cmon Randy's - do better be better!!! Don't sell OLD donuts!!! Donuts are always the best when they are fresh. I always get the glazed buttermilk and they have already been inconsistent. I've had it fresh and it's great. I've also had them stale and tough. I get them first thing in the morning so I know for a fact they're selling old donuts. The layout of the store and the flow is atrocious too! Entrance from 2 ends, people crossing paths all the time. Lines were long when they first opened but have died down substsnially. Hype gets people to try it, quality keeps people coming back. No wonder it's no longer as busy. read more
