Great BBQ! Great hot sauce! SO WORTH IT!! We had sliced brisket, sausage, ribs, corn in the cob, cole slaw, okra, and green beans. Meat was excellent and did I mention their "hot" sauce! We stopped in while traveling I-30. The reviews looked intriguing so we had to stop. Only .5 miles from interstate. We like to support local businesses when we can. read more

Randy's has great food. we stop every once in awhile. I think his BBQ is tender and tasty with a sweet or mild sauce. But beware his staff can be a bit moody and unprofessional at times other then that. I would have given them a 4 star... read more

Ok, no bones about it. One of the best BBQ experiences of my life. I knew we we're on to something when I told them I had been looking for a barbecue place and a local said, "Well, you've come to the right place, best barbecue around." He was right! Plus this little gem has the nicest staff I think I've ever experienced. I got the burnt ends sandwich with beans & potato salad. Def a home run. Loved the burnt/extra seasoned flavor of the burnt ends and the beans were perfect. Potato salad was good, basically potato salad. But all food seemed fresh and homemade. And yes, I bought the shirt. And an employee said, "You know that shirt comes with a job, right." Laughter ensued...Awesome! read more

Had the burnt ends and wife had the ribs. They are good at their meats and service was good. Not a fan of the coleslaw, too much sugar and mustard. I would probably be a regular if I lived in the area but I was very happy we tried this place. read more

Third-rate BBQ, by Texas standards. Even their "moist" brisket (not on the menu, so I asked for it) is dry. Super nice staff, though.

Excellent bbq shack. We had the brisket and pullled pork and they were both very good. The cole slaw was yellow instead of green but it had a different flavor than regular slaw that was very tasty. The other sides were good. Servers were friendly and enthusiastic. read more

My husband and I love BBQ. Due to the good Yelp ratings we stopped at Randy's BBQ in New Boston, Texas. I ordered the large chopped BBQ beef sandwich, with potato salad and cole slaw as sides, and water. My husband had the large burnt ends sandwich, chips, and iced tea. Our bill came to $27 and some change. The sauce comes in bottles, sweet, mild, and hot. You can mix them to your taste. My chopped sandwich was more on the shredded side, not cubed. I was excited to see some of that delicious bbq bark mixed in, but I was disappointed to find it kinda hard. The potato salad and cole slaw were just ok. I think its kinda pricey for the quality of food. I never say never, but I doubt that we will stop back in this place. read more

This is my favorite BBQ in this county. This is where my company taks all our guest and they just rave about it.

I had the chopped pork sandwich and it was awesome. They let you add your own mild or hot BBQ sauce which is nice, I went with the hot and it was great, could have been hotter though. The portions are perfect and don't leave you feeling like a bloated pig. Can forget the typical sweet tea either, good stuff. read more

5 for BBQ 3 for sides so will give it a 4 over all. Chopped beef, ham and turkey were all great. Lots of flavor with a little bit of a smokey taste. BBQ sauce was delicious, wonderful flavor, a nice smokey taste and a bit of heat. They have a spicy version but we tried the mild and liked it. Side are what you usually get at a BBQ place and they were good but not great. But, it really didn't matter because the meat was so good that I pretty much skipped the sides. If we are in this area again we will definitely stop in again. read more

My boys' favorite place to eat. Ball Park Fries or Foul Balls for them every time.... The sandwiches are good and their meat plates are always great. We have tried everything on the menu, and have never been dissappointed. The brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, hot links, turkey and sloppy joe's give every one an option. The traditional sides accompany these entrees, but my favorite dessert will always be the peach cobbler. They run out of parking space very quickly at lunch time, but the dining room crowd is a little lighter at dinner time due to the carry outs. Chris Latham and his crew do a superb job of taking care of business. They are gracious enough to provide the food to the press box staff during football season for every Lion home game as well. read more

Meat was great. Coleslaw, potato salad unremarkable. Fried okra had an off taste. Water was not filtered and had a chemical taste. People were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom floor was greasy, but fixtures were clean. read more

This place is full of what appear to be the local regulars. After eating, I can see why. Great food! Friendly service. They fried the okra after I ordered. Sliced beef sandwich with the hot barbecue sauce is just what I needed. Don't know if I will ever be in this town again, but if I am, I'm coming here. read more

Yum! I'm not a BBQ fan, but this was great. Friendly staff and tasty food. It was a lot better than stopping for fast food on our road trip. Price was great for the amount of food they give you. I had the burnt-ends plate with their fries and green beans...the whole plate was clean. read more

Every time I pass through to visit family, I stop at Randy's BBQ. It is the highlight of my trip.

We were in New Boston for a couple weeks for training and this place was highly recommended by the locals. At lunch time, it can get a little crowded. It's a hole in the wall small restaurant but good and friendly service. On to the food itself, good bbq, juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender meat with just the right seasonings. Portions are good-sized. Owner is friendly too. One time I was finishing off my side plate before I got to the cashier and he throws in quite a bit more of those green beans. Speaking of which, they got great fried okra but not a lot of vegetable sides. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars. Its a great spot to chill and fill your tummy if you are around in New Boston. I would definitely visit this place again if I come back. In two weeks, our group had lunch there a total of 3 times. Good place. Highly recommended. read more

Ordered the burnt ends and pulled pork home plates. Really delicious. Fast and friendly service. Welcomed when we walked in and thanked when we left. Stopped here for dinner the other night. Ribs were OK, sausage was Luke warm and tasted like kielbasa from the grocery store and under cooked. Potato salad was mediocre. Over all not very impressed. Staff was very friendly and dining area had a bunch of cool Texas memorabilia. I am still getting over being sick from that day not sure if it was lunch or this place that gave it to me but overall maybe I just picked the wrong day to go in (Tuesday) read more

Traveling throughTexas we were lucky enough to stay in New Boston overnight, we checked YELP for the local restaurant listing and chose Randy's BBQ. My wife had the chopped pulled pork platter with 2 sides (beans and sweet deep fried corn nuggets ) and I had the sliced beef with 2 sides ( fries and okra ) . The meats were done perfect, great flavor, seasoned just right, not dried out, my wife's corn nuggets are a real winner, sweet cream corn rolled and lightly breaded, then deep fried. She should have doubled the order on the nuggets. My fries and okra were a real treat, the okra was lightly coated and deep fried to perfection, the fries were fresh cut, deep fried and were not greasy tasting. As were eating our dinner we noticed the amount of locals coming in ,and a group of military vets and wives were there for a meeting and dinner. The food was excellent and was priced right. The staff was very helpful in ordering and friendly. This was one of thee best Texas BBQ's we had and wished Randy's was located in the Tampa Florida area. Keep up the good work Randy. read more
