BEST ribs in Atlanta!!! Great food, even better service. The potato salad is also a top contender!

Not good ribs , wasn't blended enough sauce was meh. They should change their name. Great potato salad . Maybe they should rename their name Rickey's potato salad? read more

We had the chopped brisket sandwich, coleslaw and a rack of ribs. The brisket was excellent, moist, with the right amount of smoke ring and fat. The sandwich was on a nondescript bun, but that didn't take anything away from the meat. The sauce provided on the side was mild but flavorful. The coleslaw was delicious, and was a good compliment to the sandwich. The pork ribs weren't that bad, but seemed a bit dry, and were more expensive than I thought they'd be. I'll be back to try their sausage and potato salad next time. This is. Take out only place. And they do take credit cards. read more

This was my first visit to Rickey's and it was off the chain good. I had some ribs, smoked sausage and their baked beans and it was amazing. The ribs were fall off the bone tender with a visible smoke ring, the glaze had a hint of spice, I guess from the BBQ sauce. Both the ribs and sausage had a good smoke flavor but not overdone. The baked beans have a slight sweetness and it pairs very well with the meats. We do not have anything near this good in Longview I will definitely be back. read more

East Texas doesn't necessarily get the exposure it deserves for Killer Bbq. RICKEY's has exceptional ribs, chopped beef, and the smoked Turkey Sandwich is what legends are made of. Texas Monthly BBQ Mafia needs to get Rickey's on the map. Rickey was a mentee of infamous SMOKE Master Roland Lindsey of Bodacious Bbq fame. They sell out every day for a good reason. Rickey is awesome and his daughter helps him run this family business. . Jerry is the man too. The service is drive though only but You won't wait too long as they crank it out. The menu is limited but don't let it fool you. Some of the best ribs in Texas or all the world for that matter. read more

Great BBQ! Get the ribs!! Potato salad is great too. We get it to go so I can't say what the dining in experience is like.

This is THE BEST ribs on hwy 59,hands down. It is a small little place but the meat is always good. When I crave ribs this is it. I travel all over and have a few hundred reviews on trip advisor and eat lots of BBQ, and this is in my top 5 of all time. I come in pick up and go home so I always forget to review and take pictures .. I'm not crazy about there potato salad but it's ok again it's about the meat. Hands down the best in the area. And the people that run it are friendly and America loving Patriots, unlike another up the road I won't mention.... I will continue to make this my local ribs stop as long as they keep it up. read more

Rickey's Rib Shack Bbq - Meat - Barbeque Near Me - Atlanta, Texas

Love it when I stumble upon such goodness in unexpected places! Ribs were delicious. They also serve brisket, pork chops, sausage, and burgers...but the ribs were fall-off-the-bone awesome. The gravy for the potatoes was also very good, and I'm picky about gravy. One heads up, it's cash or check only. The owner offered to let us write our name down and pay later, but we had cash. Gotta love the southern hospitality!! If you find yourself in North East Texas looking for barbecue, give Rickey's a try! read more

Ribs! I don't fantasize about BBQ. I like it but don't wait in line for it. Rickey's might change my mind! The ribs are so well cooked. Fat has turned into candy, ligaments and bone pop out of the way leaving tender flavorful meet. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Generous sides. I'll be back. read more

Soooo.. I was a little hesitant to drop by and eat here, for many reasons that I won't list. But my Mom told me to go buy and I always listen to my Mom [No Comments]. You walk into a building that's been vacant for many years, 5-6 tables at most, with plain black chairs and black and white table cloths. Drink options, water, tea, Coke, Dr Pepper and Sprite, mostly bottle. Everyone is very nice, one lady behind the register, another lady cutting proteins and another gentleman, possibly Rickey, inspecting and passing out side items for orders. The decor isn't much to look at, but that's a sign from the BBQ Gods, that you're about to be in a food coma from pure deliciousness. I ordered the rib plate and those were the most tender, well seasoned, adequately portioned, fall off the bone ribs I have eaten in a long time. I'm sure the BBQ sauce was good, but none was needed. The potato salad was perfect, just the right amount of sweetness and not overwhelmed with mustard. The baked beans were hot, not mushy and delicious. I'm not a big eater, but I ate every single drop and rushed to my Mom's house to fall into a deep coma like sleep. The place isn't huge, but if you're lost and wind in Atlanta, pop in and give them a try. read more
