Our first time here. I would have given it five stars, but the ambiance is late American truck stop. The veggies I had (green beans and mushrooms) were hot and not overcooked. My pulled pork was excellent! They have two bbq sauce choices. The wife had sausage links, corn on the cob, and baked beans. She says her homemade beans are better, I agree. The portions are big enough that you could probably eat half (unless you're a glutton like me) and have a second meal. Staff were smiling and friendly. We would definitely eat here again. read more

Another greedy business taking advantage of hard working truckers...after charging $13 to park, one gets to use a dirty filthy bathroom with water all over the floor from leaking toilets, then walk out to a greasy grimy parking lot. I love the location for TBBBQS in the middle of a truck stop with plenty of parking and lots of options for food. The BBQ is very good and the selection of side dishes is equally impressive. You want broccoli rice casserole or collard greens? Various bean selections, salads, you will not be disappointed. There is something to make everyone happy. The portions are outstanding with their plates and you will not go away hungry but rather you will go away with your next meal in hand. I got a two meat plate sausage and briquet with baked beans and broccoli casserole and a sweet tea for $16.38. Not cheap but I got 2 full meals out of it so I am not complaining. Trucker rip off. You find a place to park on the pilot app website. It says general parking 25 spaces nothing about prime. Now you get here and have to pay, no exceptions. Now, I won't spend a penny in the store because of this. Owner is looking to take advantage. I would have spent twice the parking for food and beverage. Now I will purposefully walk across the bridge and spend my money elsewhere even though the bbq smells good. It's the principle. Pump 6 and 7 quits and won't reset. Counter clerk says "sorry, it's been happening for weeks". Real fun to move a motorhome to another pump just to finish filling up. Bathrooms were filthy and smelled. Workers are not customer sensitive. One even shouted "you have roaches in your hair" to another employee while I was waiting for a BBQ sandwich with my wife who has curly hair. Gas costs more than other nearby stations. Sent them an email with the issues, never got an answer. This used to be a great place to stop. It has really gone downhill. I won't return again. read more

We stopped here on our way home to Texas. The location is at a truck stop with 3 restaurants located within it. We specially stopped for their beef jerky. They have a lot of different types of beer jerky (elk, deer, beef, and Python!) I'm not going to eat python but it's neat that they had it. Very nice and helpful staff. The jerky is pretty good and quite expensive. $9.99 to $14.99 for a fairly small package. Definitely worth a stop! 4/5 for the jerky. read more

The BBQ is OK. Nothing special. If you're driving a truck, you have to pay to park. They won't put up a sign at the entrance. They wait until you are three hours into your 10 hour break, then knock on your door asking for money. If I knew up front that I would have to pay to park, I might have been OK with it, but when you demand $10 after I spent $18 on your crappy BBQ and I'm three hours into my 10 hour break, it's going to make me mad. ETA: I threw up last night and have been to the bathroom twice this morning. I won't be eating here again. read more

I cannot explain how much I wanted this to be fantastic, however I cannot make a legit review on the taste and quality of the food at this particular location. The reason is as I was standing in line I couldn't help but notice the insane amount of flies all over the food!!!They were in and on everything along the cafeteria style line. For me that's an absolute deal breaker. I couldn't figure out what was worse....the flies landing on all of the sides or the fact that the guy who seemed to be management of some sort acted as if it was acceptable. Besides that the customer service was non existent at least that was my experience. Perhaps try this place in the cooler months where the flies aren't much of an issue! I had the 2 meat combo of jalapeño sausage and brisket with potato salad and BBQ beans. The jalapeño sausage and hot BBQ sauce were actually spicy unlike most places. They also have a side bar of pickles, onions, jalapeños, and banana peppers. There's fountain drinks and your choice of Peach, watermelon sweet or unsweetened tea. Flies everywhere I couldn't believe the amount of flies I was seeing and the lady was rude and never attended me

Hi there All it's the second time I stop at Texas Best SmokeHouse. In Nash Texas. Exit 218 eastbound I -30 Well I ordered a two meat platter with falling of the bone pork ribs so tender soft meat and some brisket was amazing tender I use my plastic fork to cut it in little pieces put some BBQ Sauce on it yummy. Well come taste for yourself it's Awesome the dessert shop is ready good some many goodies. Very nice place to eat there's also a Dunkin' Donuts and steak and shake and Golden Chick. Clean restrooms. Oh don't for get to ring the bell on your why out to day thanks for the great food and great service. read more

Decent BBQ. They smoke the food and then wrap with plastic wrap in warmers so the meat can get too soft. Sides are average except the beans. Beans are really good. Little pricey. read more

My Mother and I on Saturday after was really wanting some barbecue. Wednesday night we had seen this place for the first time because we do not come to Nash, Texas often. The food looked really edible and good, but the service was poor. Two employee's , Robert and Maria was so rude. My mom went order the food they walked off and went to the back. No greetings, no how can I help you, no nothing. I was so angry it took everything I had to not go off. To make matters worse it too 15 minutes to find a manager. I had to walk all the way to Steak 'n Shake, I am livid at this point. When the manager Mo, comes out I proceed to tell him what happened. Dude looks completely disinterested, but goes to tell me he would fix it. He didnt ask if he could make us plate, he didn't ask if we wanted anything. He had this attitude of complete indifference and it was almost like he was prejudice against not only browns and black, but against women as well. It hurt because this the 21st century and no one deserves this sort of treatment. My mom and I are spreading the word that workers are unprofessional and unfriendly. I love stopping to eat here with my dad! Best BBQ. The Double Barrel potato is amazing. Your choice of meat, bacon, cheese, butter, sour cream, green onions.... It is enough to feed me for at least two meals! I look forward to eating here every time he drives through! read more
