I ordered Uber Eats from here and really enjoyed the burger but I wasn't a fan of the corn, it was very bitter. I was expecting more of a street corn vibe and it didn't taste that way for me. It was better with less juice from the bottom of the container but still not my favorite. The Uber driver said she didn't know about this place and said they were going to go back for lunch, so she must of liked the looks of everything. Overall I'd try it again and check out the fries next time instead of the corn.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I pulled up at 1:22 to get a snack after a concert in Charleston, and the man was making crazy amounts of food! The DoorDashers kept coming one by one!!! This place is a hotspot. It's open all day so make sure you visit Randall in the daytime and you get to see his son Corwin at night. It's got a cute little place to hang out and eat with mood lighting in a very nice safe feeling part of the neighborhood. This place is a hidden gem. Enjoy. It says Monday- Saturday 11am-4pm I decided to try this place out. No one was here and no one was answering the phone yet it says they are open and close at 4? Pretty ridiculous and probably won't come back here again.

The Smashburger was unlike any I'd had before as were the Hashbrowns. The others enjoyed their Gluten Free selections that were prepared in a separate fryer, which is so important for Gluten Free & Celiac sufferers. Their choices were Bacon egg n cheese biscuit, Fried Chicken (some of the BEST EVER) biscuit, Corn Dog and Waffle Fried Hashbrowns. We ordered a deluxe burger and a crust burger with curly fries. Both burgers were super good and juicy, and served piping hot and came out quick! The curly fries were a good choice too. The meat is well seasoned and they don't skimp you on the toppings. The service was really friendly also. The menus didn't offer an explanation of what everything was, so I had to ask. They have lots of sauces to choose from for your burger, so that's fun. I also think it's slightly pricey for getting just a burger with no fries, but maybe that's just me. I'll be back though, it was delicious!

If you're getting food, definitely try the blistered green beans, poutine, and the farmer's salad (which is like a Cobb salad/bowl, it's amazing) *but* my all-time fave is the fried chicken sandwich - it's honestly one of the best l've ever had in Charleston. Also, this place is huge so they were able to accommodate my friend's post-wedding party (about 20 people) at the last minute and we had a blast. Everywhere else we tried to go either didn't have the space for us or were closing so it totally made our night! We just made sure to call ahead to check and they were more than happy to have us - the bride was happy so you know it was good :) Bottom line, the Peacock is a local gem hidden in plain sight on East Bay and, as a local, it's become one of my top go-to's in Charleston. You can't beat the prices (seriously), ambience, quality, and awesome staff. They also have live music every week so they know how to keep it classy and lively at the same time. I highly recommend checking it out!

The staff went above and beyond, and the entire evening went off without a hitch. The bartenders were fantastic -- attentive, friendly, and made sure everyone's glasses were never empty (water included!). We also ordered one of our favorite dishes, the Farmer's Salad with Chicken, and it was absolutely delicious -- so good, in fact, that we dove right in and forgot to take a photo first! The food at the surrounding tables looked equally incredible; I'd especially recommend the cheese plate and the tuna. As a bonus, there's a nightclub on the second floor that gets lively on weekends, so the fun doesn't have to stop after dinner. If you haven't been to The Peacock yet, do yourself a favor and stop by -- great food, great drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

My husband and I went to the restaurant side which is a large, redesigned Victorian style house. We went in as in Walk -Ins but reservations are recommended. The service was fast and the food was phenomenal. The beef tartare was fresh, and easily shareable. Cocktails were brought out fast and both tasted delicious. The scallops and pork chop were some of the best we've had. The only slightly disappointing dish was the corn bread which was on the more dry side, however the collards more than made up for it. The only downside to this restaurant were the flies, I felt like I was battling both large and fruit flies my entire meal. There were so many. We were inside so I'm not sure where they were coming from. Would've been 5 stars had it not been for this.

First Visit to Husk -- Worth Every Bit of the Hype…read more After hearing so much about Husk over the years, we finally made our first visit--and somehow it still exceeded every expectation. Housed in a beautifully restored historic Charleston home, Husk perfectly captures everything you love about the city's charm. From the moment you walk through the doors, the atmosphere feels warm, elegant, and inviting. We were seated upstairs in a gorgeous dining room where the tables were thoughtfully spaced, making the experience feel intimate rather than crowded. The hospitality was outstanding from start to finish, but our server, Chris, truly made the evening unforgettable. He welcomed us with genuine enthusiasm and, after taking our cocktail orders, walked us through the menu--which changes daily. Rather than simply listing dishes, Chris described each one in detail, explaining the flavors, ingredients, and preparations with such passion that you couldn't help but get excited about every option. It's rare to meet someone who so clearly loves what they do, and his knowledge and personality elevated our entire dining experience. We started with the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo and the Woodfired Oysters. The tuna, paired with delicate slices of cantaloupe, sounded like an unusual combination on paper, but somehow it was absolute perfection. Every bite was fresh, bright, and beautifully balanced. The oysters arrived warm, buttery, and perfectly seasoned--simple, yet incredibly satisfying. For my entrée, I ordered the Seared Diver Scallops served over creamed corn. I'll admit, I was hesitant because creamed corn has never been one of my favorites. But after Chris encouraged me to trust the dish--and after seeing how incredible the appetizers were--I went for it. I'm so glad I did. The scallops were perfectly seared, tender, and sweet, while the creamed corn was rich, fresh, and nothing like the version I had imagined. It completely changed my mind. My husband chose the Rabbit Roulade, which was cooked beautifully with just the right amount of spice to keep each bite interesting without overwhelming the dish. We also shared the Hearth-Baked Skillet Cornbread, and if you're debating whether to order it...don't. Just do it. It's absolutely worth it. Then came dessert. Chris walked us through several tempting options, including a mud pie, a watermelon ice pie, and a peach cobbler, along with Husk's house-made ice creams featuring flavors like Chocolate Peanut Butter and Key Lime Pie (plus a refreshing fruit sorbet). We settled on the Peach Cobbler along with scoops of the Chocolate Peanut Butter and Key Lime Pie ice creams. Every single bite was phenomenal. The cobbler tasted like summer in a bowl, while both ice creams were so flavorful and creamy that we kept passing them back and forth trying to decide which one we liked better. Spoiler alert: we never could. From the stunning historic setting and exceptional service to the thoughtfully crafted food, Husk delivered an experience that reminded us why Charleston has become such an incredible food destination. If Husk has been sitting on your "one day" list, consider this your sign. Make the reservation. Trust your server. Order dessert. And enjoy every single bite.

Everyone just fits in, no matter if you're the black sheep! Seating is a little limited, but worth the wait. I guess the first person I ran into was a manager, he introduced himself, (legit, "Hi my name is Bryan" and shook my hand!) (Post Script, the handshake is pervasive here, literally both bartenders were introduced to me and both came up and shook my hand.) I had checked this place out from other Yelp reviews and already knew I wanted the Fish and Chips, so after my beer order, I was shocked and awed that without asking, he brought the Malt Vinegar! You know it's gonna be the bomb already! The fish arrived very quickly! Bruh...this fish was legit. A large solo iceberg of fried perfection crested upon a wave of fresh made "chips " and they were clearly fresh made, not the frozen variety. The beer batter on this fish was so good I was in heaven. I thought it might be heavy and greasy, and yet somehow it held only flavor, crunch, and absorbed my Malt Vinegar to perfection. This place is packed with regulars and it clearly seems to attract other service industries personnel. All good signs of a good time! This may have been my first visit, but won't be my last!
