I can't say enough good things about Dr. Danton Dungy--he's incredible. I've had both knees…read morereplaced by him (9/25 & 2/26), and I truly couldn't be happier with my experience. He is passionate, honest, and genuinely friendly. You can tell he really cares about what he does, and it shows. He's not on any kind of pedestal--he talks with you, not at you, which makes a big difference. He's also at the top of his field, with patents for orthopedic surgical tools and a technique he developed called the Later Technique. My recovery has gone smoothly, and even my home PT said that Dr. Dungy's patients consistently seem to recover faster than average. That said--no matter how great the surgeon is, you still have to do your part. Knee replacement is a partnership. Put in the work, and you'll be in the best possible hands with Dr. Dungy.

Dr Dungy is such a caring individual and has a wonderful bedside manner. I did a full knee…read morereplacement on 5/5/25. I woke up from surgery and thought to myself, this was a good experience and pain level was a 1 out of 10 and haven't needed narcotics. I recommend spending the night at the hospital and getting some extra TLC prior to going home, it was worth it. I also appreciated the in-home physical therapy for the first two weeks. If my left knee needs to be done I would in a heart beat go back to Dr Dungy. My emotions went from frightful fear of having a knee replacement to wow, this wasn't that bad of a process to go through. I was pleasantly surprised for such a good outcome so soon.

I am 71 now w/NO ill affects from that surgery. Took a tumble @ work 07/10/25 landing on L hand, resulting in fractured wrist. Just saw Dr. Carr. What wonderful doctor. Relaxed, attentive, informative. The staff @ both locations are equally kind @ caring. I can highly recommend the Chandler practice as well as OrthoAZ Urgent in Gilbert.

First, this is OrthoArizona. They use both names, but the sign outside and their business cards…read moresay "OrthoArizona". This was a positive experience, given that having to visit an orthopedist is generally because of something negative. In this case, a fracture. Ours was Dr Evans. Seems very young, or maybe I'm just old. The wait was reasonable. I noted others say it was too long, but after visiting the urgent care this office was able to schedule us the next day, and the wait after check-in was not bad. The first thing they did was get a better x-ray than the urgent care, showing the fracture clearly. The situation was explained to us, instructions were given to us, and we have a follow-up in two weeks to check on progress. Thus far we are satisfied. We have since had a follow-up and I will have to dock them a bit for communication. During the follow-up he was distressed at how stiff the joints around the fracture had become. He insisted he told us to move those joints in specific ways, but neither my wife nor I remember him saying that. We were instructed to move it some, but not to the extent he indicated on the follow-up visit. However, we quickly got past this and he relayed more specific instructions. Just while in the office while he was talking to us greater range of motion was demonstrated, so the stiffness wasn't as bad as first thought. Another six weeks or so of healing, however. No physical therapy prescribed, which is good. Some places seem to order it even if it doesn't seem one really needs it. I like doctors who don't order unnecessary procedures.

This has been the worst experience I have had dealing with the office staff... medical assistant,…read morenurse practitioner and even the receptionists. I know the office deals with a high patent volume, but that doesn't give them the right to have less patent care. They need to be trained on customer service and patent care. They take things to personal when you correct them on mistakes they have caused. Refusing to return calls and helping you handle any issues that you are experiencing. I hope Dr. Patterson doesn't know how staff treats his patients and if he does he needs to address the problems.

I also really like the office setup as it is efficient and speedy with appointment times and very little wait time. They also have a good system of assistant prior to doc, doc, then wrap room. Everything runs like clockwork! Refreshing!! Grateful for great docs and certainly grateful in connecting with Dr. Patterson! After having a moped accident while on vacation in HI and unsure how another doc taking my banged up/stitched up foot would be, also another doc at OrthoAZ had been recommended, but my foot was not his specialty so we went with Dr. Patterson. Confident he'll have me up and back to normal activities soon!
