BEST BEEF FAJITAS EVER! I was so ready to dislike this place when I found out it was Tex-Mex but I changed my mind once I ate the food. It really felt like what Tex-Mex should be: Mexican food with a slight twist. I came here with a friend because they have the same name as my favorite restaurant of all time which closed down last year. Also I had a coupon- what can I say, I'm a sucker for a deal. I got the No. 8: Tamale, Rice, Burrito, with salsa verde added on top because I adore salsa verde in a way that may be unhealthy for my stomach lining. My friend got the fajitas. I was 100% ready to write the food off as typical, terrible Tex-Mex, but it surprised me so much. The tamale actually tasted like a tamale and the salsa verde made it fantastic. I forgot to say I wanted a chicken burrito but the beef burrito was awesome. It went very well with the tamale and they had put salsa verde on top of it as well so it tasted fantastic. Of course, everything tastes better lathered in salsa verde (right? right?) but I will admit the fajitas surprised me most of all. I've grown up getting fajitas to-go from La Hacienda whenever my family was in the mood for Mexican, so it's something I never order at restaurants and especially never beef fajitas. But man I have been missing out apparently because these beef fajitas were the best I have ever had. They were covered in pepper and another spice that was just enough to give it a burst of flavor and a hint of heat. I adored them and my friend let me take them home (they were too spicy for her tastes). Also, their Bahama Mamma tasted pretty good as well (I took a sip of my friend's). This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I've tried a few in Olive Branch and Southaven and this place by far is the best. For starters, the chips and salsa are both good and can tell the salsa is made fresh. These cheese dip is one of the best I've had, so getting it when my order is automatic. Everything that I've ordered there has been good, so I don't think you can go wrong. read more

First time here and I have to say it was fantastic! We came with a group of 40 after grandsons baseball game and the staff was the best , so attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was happy and upbeat and plenty of room for a large group. My frozen strawberry margarita was a perfect start to a delicious dinner, I had the shrimp chimichanga and it was a scrumptious choice, loaded with plenty of shrimp, onions, peppers mushrooms and tomatoes in a tasty sauce ( not your typical ordinary cream sauce) with rice and beans. it is the worst restaurant i've been to in my life the waitress forgot about my order and finally gave it to me around an hour later after being reminded 3 times, others that ordered the exact same thing got theirs as well and when asked about it she was rude. Every single time I've gone here for the past year they've been so rude. It has been a continuous pattern they sit you down and every waitress ignores you and just walks past your table repeatedly without even acknowledging you or they just kind of mean mug you . It's like they refuse to serve you. This last time I went was the last straw. After being sat and sitting there for a while we put a timer for 10 minutes (since they refuse to serve us every time we go) and said we'd leave if no one came to our table for those 10 minutes . No one ever came to even get our drink order for 15-20 that we were sitting there. So we left. Mind you we try to be kind and be respectful to everyone and we tip well. Being new to the area we are still trying to find our Go-To Mexican restaurant. While Rancho Grande isn't bad, it isn't it. We were immediately seated, which was nice. However, the menus included splotches of left over salsa, lots of them, which stunted my appetite. If the menu looks like that, what does the kitchen look like? There were not many people dining however it was loud. One table was a bit rambunctious but the restaurant must have poor acoustics. Now the reason for three stars and not two is the server was prompt and the food was pretty good...not great. I had the enchilada suiza meal and it was tasty, however, it was three enchiladas with No rice and beans. I like rice and beans when enjoying Mexican food. I think my attitude on the place would be better if the menus had been clean...or at least not filthy. That set the tone for the meal. read more

I'm so sad to write this review... this was my favorite Mexican restaurant. We used to live close and moved just over a year ago but chose to still make the drive. Something has changed over the last few months. Yes I gave a few visits before posting because I was hoping it was just a fluke. I can now say absolutely something has changed. Service has gone downhill big time. I said something the last time before tonight hoping it would have gotten better but not so much. We waited for over 20 minutes before getting our chips and salsa. Drinks finally came and as always the margaritas are still the best! However took another 3 trips pasted the table and another round of chips before asking if we were ready to order. They were not busy at all, had they been I would not be here posting... I will say food came out fast and was spot on. Can't say the same for the last 3 times we were there...as it was cold or completely wrong. I do hope something comes of this review. I hope management/owners see and does something. I come here often. The service is really good. The food is ok at best. My parents love to come here but its definitely not authentic. I've had the nachos which are good, the corn tortillas are not good at all, and today I tried a shrimp cocktail and it was a little too sweet. Ranch Grande is right down the road from our usual smoothie place, so this was meant to be lol. My husband and I both ordered three crispy beef tacos. We have never had such tasteless Mexican food in our entire life. The ground beef tasted boiled with no seasoning. The pico de gallo lacked flavor. I can not describe how bad this meal was. I will never go there again. We will stick with LaHacienda from now on as their food is always good. We always order the same drinks every single time so it was shocking to receive our bill and learn that our drink of choice went up by $5 each, making them $20 margaritas!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MANAGER I have never had an issue with this restaurant until today. My son ordered to go food for me. When he got home, my food was not right. I called the restaurant, thinking I could let them know and I could be compensated or something arranged for the inconvenience of the wrong order.
