Still a favorite of our for some easy TexMex. The staff continues to be attentive and the service is as quick as always. The lunch menu is a great way to get a quick bite full of flavor when you're on the go.

Huge selection. Great prices. Delicious food. We were passing through and stopped and were pretty impressed. The queso was really good. Salsa was good and had a kick but not too much heat. The boss sampler was great, little bit of everything.

We took a chance and walked over while my car was getting an oil change. So glad we did! Service was great and so was the food. They started us with tasty chips and warm salsa, which I didn't even know was my favorite! Charro beans were some of the best I have had. My friend's three enchilada plate had great fillings and sauces that I must admit made me jealous. Ruluis our server was great, even bringing us some secret Mexican hot sauce. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

I the service for the most part is pretty good. The girls are much better than some of the older gentlemen that are servers. Some of my favorite Mexican food. The only thing is the salsa since they changed their recipe is unbearably hot that I can't eat it anymore. I eat here everyday, so I try it every time I go in hopes it goes back

Meh. Probably wouldn't return. There's too many better options in the area. Had fajitas, perhaps it's not their thing.

Gringo's Conroe - Small queso

We went on a Friday for lunch and they were busy but we were seated right away. Our server was…read moresuper sweet and did a great job. I ordered the Ribeye street tacos which are ribeye tips, (I cut the onions), cilantro, queso fresco soft corn tortillas with avocado salsa and spicy red sauce. I love hot food and this sauce was hot to me. So good! It also came with black beans which had great flavor. The restaurant has a Spanish, airy feel to it. It was clean and I would go back to this location again.

I hate to do this because I have never had a bad experience at a Gringos, period. But today…read moreexperience was too horrible to not say anything. I met my son at the Gringos for a "quick lunch" before an appointment. When we walked in, there was no one at the hostess stand. After a 3-5 minute wait, the hostess appeared and assisted the couple in front of us. She put them on a wait list because they wanted a booth. We also requested a booths, so were also put on the waitlist. When the hostess put us on the list, we were told the they just needed to clean some tables. So we sat and waited. After 15 minutes, I got up and asked how much longer. Again...no one was at the hostess stand. After several minutes the hostess walked up and I inquired on an appropriate wait time. Her reply was however long it takes to get tables cleaned off. A quick look around, I could see many, many , many booths cleaned off. She took the first couple back and then disappeared again. Finally, a gentleman who I assumed was the manager approached us and sat us. We were quickly greeted by our waiter, Jason. From the looks of Jason, and unenthusiastic greeting, I'm going to say that Jason should have called out for the day. I have had warmer welcomes at Waffle House than this kid could muster. Jason took our order and he too disappeared. We waited so long for our lunch, I was beginning to think something had happened. I mean , we were now past the hour mark of walking into the place. Maybe it wasn't entered into the POS. Maybe there was a large to go order placed right before us? Maybe our food was ready, but just sitting in the window getting stale and cold? Ding ding ding! Yep. I had the coldest fish tacos and my son's fajita tacos were dried out. We would have said something, but again, Jason had disappeared. When he came back around he dropped the card reader on the table....still had plates, never asked for my reward number , to go boxes, nothing. When I asked him to enter my reward number, he put other tables dirty plates in front of us to take me to the screen to add my own number and walked away. That's the last time that we ever saw Jason. And I think that this will be our last visit to the Conroe Gringos. Serious training needs to happen at this location or it won't make it. Eating out is too expensive to put up with a snotty, eye rolling hostess and waiters who "appear" to be self medicating?

I was in the mood for a beef stuffed Chimichanga and my wife opted for the Fajita combo of beef and chicken Chulapas. My wife was really impressed with her meal. She said it was full of flavor and one of the best tasting Chulapas she has ever had. My beef Chiminchanga really hit the spot and was exactly what I was looking for. My daughter-in-law ordered the beef Tacos a la Mexicana was thrilled with how good they tated. My granddaughter wanted an Enchilada and scarfed it down so quickly, I have to believe that she really liked it. The rice and beans were also full of flavor and coupled with some premium Margaritas our dining experience was a complete success. We have returned a couple more times and again found the food to be delicious. Each and every time our service as good as the food. I highly recommend Mama Juanita's for a great Mexican meal experience as they have become our go to for great Mexican food.

If you want your-go to Tex-Mex that's consistently solid, this is your place. Great service. Fun, laid back, atmosphere Amazing prices. And solid food. The only thing I've tried so far that I wasn't a fan of is cheese enchiladas, too greasy for me. But the fajitas are always great. Big portion, house made flour tortillas, good guacamole and pico, and serves up fast. Easy to go to with the kids, in and out in under an hour, and easy on the pocket book (do people still say that? ). Check it out. I have also heard not all locations are created equal, that this one is the best. Been scared to try the other locations so I will just stick with this one since I know it holds up.
