I often pick up to-go orders from Pappasito's for work lunches during the week. They have a great curbside system. It's very similar to HEB curbside groceries. You choose a numbered spot, text the restaurant where you are and the staff will bring the food to your car. During the summer, this is greatly appreciated so I don't sweat in my work clothes. I also do enjoy their food. Some of my favorite are the fajita platters, the chicken tinga enchiladas, mixed ceviche and the chicken flautas. The only thing I've ever ordered that I didn't like were the seafood enchiladas. I was surprised that the enchilada itself is a cheese enchilada with a few pieces of seafood on top. We came in on a Saturday night knowing that the wait would be bad since we had a party of 10. We waited about an hour and were seated at a large table which was nice since we were having a birthday party with gifts. Michael was our server, he had a great personality, made sure our drinks stayed full and made sure to get our birthday girl a group to sing the signature song. I had the large gold margarita which tasted great! For dinner I chose the chicken quesadillas which are always cooked just a little crispy on the outside, gooey cheese inside and plenty of chicken. My husband and I arrived on Saturday right at peak dinner time around 6:00 PM. You definitely need to get here earlier if you don't want to wait over an hour. We decided to check for open seats at the bar and that was full too. However, there are a few small "open" seating near the bar first come first serve for full service. Fortunately, we only waited about 15 minutes and were able to grab a table. The downside is the table is pretty small so by the time you have drinks and your food there is very minimal space. Be prepared to be overcrowded with people standing by the bar. Overall, service was good considering how busy it was. Shelby was our server and she was attentive and apologetic about the food taking awhile, which was understandable since they were busy. The food was just mediocre. I've been to different locations and this one was just okay. I was surprised that the micheladas weren't ridiculously expensive compared to El Tiempo or Ninfa's. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and they were okay nothing to brag about. My husband ordered the chipotle Chicken Fajita Tacos and they were okay nothing great about them. I know its a large chain but they do have some of the best fajitas out there. The pork fajita was the best. We got the family fajita dinner with pork beef and chicken. The first place where the chicken fajita wasn't overly processed and was very juicy. The stuffed shrimp crab cakes were to die for. They were so good I went home and recreated them. Manager didnt even let my husband finish speaking when he began to explain the reason for the poor air circulation. We already knew that, we were sitting in it. The best topping is to add the Queso dip onto your fajita. Once a year my now 91 year old grandma visits from Chicago and the first stop she always requests is Pappasitos, especially to get a frozen strawberry margarita. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There can be a long wait on evenings or weekends but it is well worth the wait. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner in one of the party rooms and the event coordinator was efficient and easy to work with. Definitely a 10/10 recommendation for anyone in the area. read more

Again, my husband loves Pappasito's. We got there right when they opened. It was his birthday, and he was so excited. I love the landscaping at all the locations, this is definitely some of the best. The service. We had someone training. We ordered queso, which didn't come until we asked another waiter, who brought it immediately. We ordered our food. Then we waited. And waited. The tables around us were all getting their food, but not us. The table next to us sat down after us, ate, and paid the bill before we were served. It was explained to us that the they had accidentally used the trainees card, so our order didn't go through. I ordered cheese enchiladas , queso instead of chile con carne, flour instead of corn tortillas, and extra onions. I got corn tortillas and no onions. When asked if I wanted what I had ordered, I said no, we had already been waiting a really long time. The server and trainee were totally cool with leaving me with something that was not made correctly. At the end, the comped everything, which was incredibly generous. The service was terrible. The queso was overly salty, but comping the whole thing will ensure they will be getting more visits from us.
