For example there were benches along the lake intended to look out into the lake but the trees and shrubs are so overgrown that there really is no point in these benches anymore. There's a campground here, so I guess I will review that now also. The campground is small with only a few sites. The sites are pretty close together. I was in site 22 and the restroom light shined on my site so badly that I had to hide behind my car to escape the spotlight.

The reason I like this park is because I have full view of my surroundings and with walking 3 large dogs I need some times need to avoid passing some dogs. Yep, I have 3 crazy dogs, somewhat behaved. The park is well taken care of. The playground is nice too. My grandkids love coming here because it has a little bit of everything a kid likes to play. Climbing, sliding and swinging play area. Sports take place here as well, not only walking, running, scootering and bike riding with the little ones. I've seen even dog training classes going on. Restrooms are well kept too. I will continue to use this park for my dogs and grandkids enjoyment.

It's tucked away in a residential area, which gives it a more private feel, even though it's actually pretty large. The only thing I wish it had is a designated dog park area, since sometimes dog owners do not pick up after their pets. Other than that, I really enjoy this park and highly recommend it.

I had picnics took walks both days. I stayed to watch the sunset on Saturday And opted for a different location to view the sunset on Sunday. This is a great park for people watching. I saw people walking , walking their dog, jogging, flying kites, reading under a tree, scrolling social media, picnicing, Bbqing, playing basketball, playing on swings and play structutes, working on their vehicles, organizing thier vans, riding bicycles of every description laying or sitting in the sun or shade and taking pictures and selfies, and one old veteran playing his guitar- that was me. I was hopping some friendly person would stop by so I could ask them to take a picture, but that didn't happen. This beautiful park sits on a hilltop and offers a panoramic view of the neighborhood, and a somewhat different sunset experience over your typical ocean view. The park has paved walking paths, basket ball courts, a volleyball court, lawns suitable for any number of sports a clean restroom and a fairy large parking area, I highly recommend this park. It was a highlights of my Spontaneous weekend roadtrip.

The park is spacious. There is room to ride your bike of scooter around the park. It's not overly spacious, you can scan the park easily. They have play structures for little tykes and the older kids. I love that they also have swings made for little ones to safely sit in, but also have swings for the older kiddo. There are grass areas to play and have picnics. There are sitting areas and picnic tables. The restrooms are centralized. I didn't have the chance to visit the restrooms. There are signs posted along the wooden fenced areas to beware of rattlesnakes in the area. I would definitely return with the grandkids. They seemed to like the park too.

It is noisy with the ocean, the traffic, the trains, etc. The restroom is not very clean or nice. The picnic tables do not have shade. If you need a small park, in that area, give it a try. Bikes / Skateboards are not allowed to be ridden inside the park but can be carried or pushed with you. There are also drinking fountains and restrooms. Park also contains the model railroad club which visitors can view. The caretaker John who lives at the connected house is very friendly and so is his dog. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on the beach area until after a certain hour. We arrived to watch the Surfer Girl Competition and right next to the beach is this grassy park where we were able to post up and watch as if we were in the beach. Occasional weirdos coming by but that's expected... it's Oceanside.
