Reading my word!!

Great park. A lot of fun things to play with, loaded with swings, slides, music playing area. clean & safe!! My son and I had a lot of fun here ;)

Nice playground! Always appreciate the shade and the stadium bench seating for lots of butts.

I really enjoyed this park a lot. There are clean bathrooms with soap (which is a huge plus), and the park was well maintained. I also loved the stadium style seating so parents can sit down and get a good view of the entire play area. Usually there are a couple of benches and most people standing. I also really enjoy the foam base instead of sand or bark. The shade structures also set this apart from other playgrounds and will make this a nice option when it gets much hotter in the summer. I was surprised to see a roller slide since you don't see many of those before and the kids all loved it. It does get a little chaotic with old kids trying to climb it and I worry about pinched or broken fingers. Overall I really liked this place and will go again.

I met a friend here so her daughter and my grandkids could burn off some energy. I have been to the park a handful of times. It is very convenient for me when I'm watching the kiddo's, close to their home and school. The parking is a good size but if crowded there is street parking available. This park is located in a residential area and near a school as well, so it is best to watch your speed. I love this park because I could have a good view of my older grandchild as he would run wild, while I am watching my younger one as she usually spends more time at the swings. But if she wants to try and keep up with her brother I am not too worried about her running because the play area is padded. The restroom is close by and not only that, the picnic tables (shaded) and grass field are all in view from where you stand. What is also nice about this park is that the main play structure is mostly covered. It would've been nice to have the swing area shaded too. There is also a path way if the kiddos want to ride a bike or scooter. There is a small area with hands on instrumental equipment, also padded. I will always keep this place in mind when the grandkids want some park time.

This park undertook a huge renovation and reopened last year. It has a great playground and there are lots of fun equipment and interactive activities. They also have some awesome exercise equipment such as pull-up bars, dip bars (parallel bars), sit-up equipment, balance exercises, etc. There are also nice walking paths and a nice array of local vegetation and wild flowers. My only concern is seeing some interesting visitors that blare gangster rap and some music I don't want my kids listening to. Also I'm finding a lot of trash and empty bottles laying around. There are plenty of trash and recycling cans so it's just laziness and a lack of respect for the environment. See picture.

Ask the Community - Bub Williamson Park

Is this park pet friendly?

I see people with their leashed pets.

How strict is the closing time? After daylight savings its been bright out for much longer, but we can only go to the park around 5pm which is when it closes :(

We went today and the park ranger told me they close the gates at 8pm .

I've visited this park often, especially during the summer days. You will find two, shaded…read moreplayground structures. One for the older kids and one for the little kiddo's. Both are padded areas including the swing section. You have a decent sized sand area located next to the older kids structure. There are plenty of picnic tables spread throughout the park. Some of them are near trees too for shade. I like that the tables are placed near the play area so that you can keep a close eye on your little ones. There is a large basketball area (one backboard only) adjacent to the parking lot. Sometimes you will find a workout group exercising in this area. Its a great spot for young scooter/bike users when the court is not being used. But, there is also a great paved sidewalk within the park for that too. There is a portion to be cautious about, and that's the sidewalk along the main street. There is a fence on that side, but that only separates the grassy area within the park and the sidewalk. I've been to the restroom only once and it was clean and maintained. The park is well kept, and the grassy areas are maintained as well. Looks like they have been working in some other grass areas that is struggling a bit. Parking could be an issue during the summer months.

The reason it received 4 stars instead of 5 is because there's only shade over the big kid play structure. Thankfully, both my kids want to play here, but man..it can get hot!

The Hideaways - I appreciate the covered seating area for the parents. Just wish it faced the playground so you can monitor your kids

I will say, however, that this place is so big that you can very easily lose track of your kids. There were a few times on our last visit where I was scanning the playground for a minute or two trying to find one of my kids after looking after another one for a bit. But don't worry. There really is only one in and out so you don't have to worry about kids wandering off if you are around that bottleneck point. This is a great attraction that I hope the park never gets rid of. It offers kids a space to run around & just goof off and be kids while also blowing off steam. The only point of improvement I can think of if maybe offer some more (shaded) seating for parents. On hot days that would be greatly appreciated.

He remembered it very well from our past visits. It is a second story playground and it is big enough for adults to shadow your littles if needed. On this day it looked as though an employee was monitoring at the top. I'm not sure if it was because it was near closing time or they are there for the safety of the little ones. There is a short wall that you could sit on to watch your kids from afar, This grand playground is great for the kids to burn some energy that's for sure! The kids have fun running place to place it makes me want to join them. If you haven't visit this playground it is a must. P.S. Grab some Apple Fries beforehand from the stand adjacent to the playground. Great snacking as you watch the play.
