I have ordered takeout a few times and usually very good but this time from start to finish, very disappointing. Gentleman that answered phone had very week english and had a hard time understanding my order. If you don't have strong command of language then you shouldn't be taking orders over the phone. I ordered chicken and cheese quesadilla from the dinner menu and he didn't understand me and i had to repeat it 3 times. When i picked up my order, the young lady at hostess table went to get receipt. After i paid, then i had to ask, is that my order on the windowsill and she said yes so i had to get it. She should have handed it to me. When i got home, not only was it not chicken and cheese but it was just cheese and very small, very little cheese and no sour cream and guacamole. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to person who i gave payment to. I explained what happened and all she said was "OK". No apology or anything. My wife then called and asked for a manager and she explained everything and still no apology. All he said was that if i wanted, i could go back and he would give me new order. I have only been to this tucked away restaurant about three times and then only for lunch. I found the service more than adequate the menu is very. There are some original items in the Tex-Mex style that I don't like. The prices are excellent also. The pico de gallo is a good reason to go in yourself. I highly recommend this place it has the feel of a good Tex-Mex eatery and bar. read more

We were seated promptly with chips and hot salsa being brought before we even got settled into the booth! The mango margarita was good and there is a full bar with selections of beers and cocktails. I had the chef's special which is shrimp, lobster and chicken sauted with wine and veggies then served with tortillas. It was very good and my wife raved about her taco salad which came in a huge homemade shell. Just left there. What a horrible experience!! Host seated us pretty quickly. Chips and salsa were delivered. It took at least 5 minutes for the server to come to the table. She took our drink order, brought mine and had to ask my husband again what his drink was. Then she took our order. We specifially asked for my daughters steak to be medium rare. It came out well done. So well done it was like shoe leather. My chimichanga had no sause or cheese. Looked microwaved. A fried shell with dried chicken in it. They took my meal off the bill but bothe were awful and wrong!! As a restaurant manager, he should have came to the table with an apology offering to remove both meals. Usually the food here is decent. Went this past week and it took about 10 min after being seated to even place a drink order. They were out of a few options. The tea I got tasted very off. Finally ordered lunch and it took almost 30 min to come out. Usually they are quicker than that. Rice was mush. Didn't finish because it just wasn't good. Will probably give them another try though. Had dinner here on Monday night wth pouring rain and flooding and they were still busy. Portions are large and really good. I had them vegetable burrito loaded with peppers onions and mushrooms. It was the length of one of their large dinner plates. Husband had the Cameron's Mexican style which was spicy and delicious. Service was great and their homemade salsa is delicious. read more

This is a very nice Mexican restaurant. I've eaten here quite a few times and my food is always been prepared well. I typically get the skirt steak with beans and rice and it is absolutely delicious! Very disappointed. Service was extremely poor. Bill was incorrect, asked server to run my card for my one item (had enchilada and water). He charged me $2.50 for a soda. Told him I did not have soda and politely asked him to correct but he would not correct the charge he ran on my card. :( very upset Never again! read more

My family and I visted this restaurant last week - we have been here a few times and also to the one in Tequesta. I was dimayed and disgusted when, after several requests for mild salsa, (they kept erroneously bringing out spicy) the waitress spoke to the salsa man in spanish and then proceeded to take the salsa from our table (which we were tasting to see if it was spicy) and give it to another table of people. Then she took their old salsa they had been eating and put it on our table! I was beside myself!! I told her not to dare expect us to eat that and to remove it immediately. I also asked what was she thinking giving our old salsa to other people? Her response "They hadn't touched the one I gave you" How disgusting! Those poor people ate the salsa we four had been eating out of...I thought I was going to be sick. We left and I will never go back. However, I fear this was likely just a small example of the lax standards that are probably going on behind the scenes. This was a terrible experience. Went there last night with family. Asked for salsa verde and the server Jessica said she didn't know if they had it...a Mexican restaurant without green salsa? Honestly I never get good service here BUT last night was the absolute worst. The bartender/manager (I asked to speak to a manager and they sent me to the guy that was causing all the issues) but anyways, the bartender was rude and very slow. I walked in, sat down and waited for 9 minutes exactly until he even acknowledged I was there. After that I told him I just wanted one margarita and to place a Togo order. He made my margarita and walked away. It wasn't until more people came and sat next to me at the bar that he would even come back my way. Keep in mind they're at half capacity right now AND there were 2 other people at the bar at the time so no, they were not busy. The bartender took the people's next to me orders and still walked right past me. I finally said hello can I place my Togo order now? And he said for me to hold on that he wanted to get the other peoples order first. Rude, I know. But I waited. Finally was able to place my order. Waited another 15 minutes and the bartender/MANAGER didn't even put my entire order in. So yep. Had to wait even longer for the other meal I ordered because of The manager. Well it gets better, I then proceed to pay for my order (he handed me a check for $30 so I gave him my card. I then get a notification from my bank saying Rancho just charged my card $160. The guy then brings me back a receipt for $160 that he just charged me and said have a good day. EXCUSE ME WHAT?! Of course I had to get up and walk to him because why would he take care of the customers at the bar? When he's a bartender?! Well I walked over to him and told him what he had done and then he proceeds to YELL AT ME!! Saying "I wouldn't steal from you during a coronavirus" like what? No dude. Just give me back my freaking money. Well he was unapologetic and rudely walked over to the card machine and refunded me my money. THEN gave me a check for $45 for my food. WTF!? NOT EVEN A DISCOUNT or anything!! Honestly this place sucks. The food is really food but the service is well below par. Sick of how this place (the manager) treats people. Since my first review of Rancho I have been back at least 30 times. The chicken is excellent. Margarita's were good. Chips and salsa are usually pretty good for what they are offering. The service sometimes can get a little slow. Some of the older servers aren't always the most pleasant (during lunch). The prices are extremely reasonable. Hmmm...what to say about this place? The food was pretty good. I got the fajita steak and chicken combo. Definitely more chicken than steak :(. Did not get enough tortillas to accommodate my dish and the waiter was no where to be found to request more. The normal side additions to fajitas also ran out before the steakless chicken ran out. Again, waiter not to be found. Waiter also got the price wrong on the Dos XX I ordered and only found the true price with the bill, which I had to ask the manager for because the waiter could not be found. He kept telling me he would be right back. 15 minutes later, after finishing my ,meal 15 minutes before, I approached the manager for the bill. I was also not appreciative of my waiter, when he WAS at my table, referring to me as "Buddy". Probably just my luck of the draw by getting this waiter YMMV, but I will not be going out of my way to return to this restaurant. BTW, ran out of salsa for my chips way before I ran out of chips, again the waiter did not notice it as he would run by my table and he was not around enough to ask. Would have like it on my fajitas too, but the salsa bowl was dry half way through my meal, never to be replenished. read more

Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive waiters. The top shelf "Cadillac" margarita is delicious! The food was great, they brought healthy portions of everything. Chips and salsa were always topped off throughout our dining experience. The only thing that could use a bit of work in my opinion are the chips, they are not as fresh as chips I have had at other Tex-Mex restaurants. I will definately try this place again! read more
