The pizza here may have just converted me to team Sicilian pizza. You get the most out of the crunchy edge experience with these square slices and it's is hard to turn down. Also, for $6-7 a quarter, that's some great price to food ratio. The Veggie quarter was full of goodies live olive, mushrooms, peppers, topped with pecorino cheese. The dough was well risen, making the pie soft and light on the inside while the exterior is baked to extreme crispiness. This location has a very chill vibe too. They got multiple beers on tap. Came here on a Sunday night for their special square pizza. Service is quick and located within Baerlic Brewing. They have square pizzas and good ranch sauce and breadsticks too. My friends ordered a whole pepperoni, a quarter pepperoni, and breadsticks while I ordered a quarter veggie. They have different options and I think their pepperoni is the most popular. The pizza and the breadsticks were really good and filling. Then you can just order a drink at the bar right next to the stand to order pizza. Pizza and beer are always a good choice, but amazing pizza and beer is great choice and this place is pure amazing and delicious. I have never had square, deep dish pizza, which is supposedly Detroit style. The pie is perfect in its depth (not too deep like Chicago style) and not too doughy which allows you to eat an extra slice or two. My friend and I did half pepperoni and The Papa J (minus the cream cheese) were delicious. The Pepperoni has two cheese (pecorino and mozzarella) which were light in taste (no gooey, plastic cheese) so you could taste more of the pepperoni. The bacon on the Papa J was super crispy and reminded me on a baked potato. Honorable mention to the radicchio Cesar salad. The homemade dressing was delicious and the bitterness of the radicchio gave it a nice kick. Although very limited seating, there's only about 3 large picnic table and 3-4 tables for 2 people, there's ample room and tables are pretty well spaced apart. They're in the same building as Baerlic Brewing, so if you're in the area for a drink, why not get some bomb pizza as well?? I got a quarter of their special - Truffle Fields Forever (Truffled ricotta, baby spinach, mushrooms, and roasted garlic) and it was pretty dang special. I asked their opinion of the special vs. the #4 and she told me that the TFF is lighter and less greasy than the #4. I was worried the truffle would overpower the pizza, but it actually was a nice complement to the ricotta! It wasn't too strong but subtle and actually paired quite nicely with their ranch. Okay, let's talk about the ranch. Usually I eat pizza with ranch if the pizza is a bit bland or if I want something to go with my crust. BUT, this ranch I feel actually elevated the flavors of the pizza, without taking the spotlight away from the pizza. The ranch is on the thicker side, but I ain't complaining. I took one star away only because I wished the pizza came out a bit warmer instead of being closer to room temperature. We've been here almost weekly since they opened with Barelic. Pizza started off amazing and over time has just gotten sad. It's never crispy like it used to be. It feels thrown together and often not warm. We moved on from eating pizza and have been just doing salad & breadsticks & corn nuts. Now the corn nuts are fabulous but they just changed how much they are serving per portion. It used to be a very generous portion for $2 which was amazing! Now it's literally a side cup full. See picture. I understand the need to cut back due to price increases, but $2 for a tiny side cup of corn nuts is insane. As much as I love them, I will not be buying it again unless they increase the portion size again. I'm disappointed in the changes that have been happening at Ranch. I've had a lot of pizza over the years, I have to say Ranch Pizza Southwest is in the top 3. Keep in mind that I traveled all over when my ex husband was in the Coast Guard. The flavors just pop and the crust melts in your mouth. I ordered from a delivery group and was very pleased that Ranch Pizza didn't miss a thing. Not one wrong order. The pizza was great! It was the service that was not so great. They give you table numbers but decide randomly when to actually check them. We got our pizza and a staff member came out with more. When he asked if it was ours we tried to explain how it was the other table of people behind us. He had no patience and left the other tables pizza slices on our table. The other table had to come grab their food. The second time a different friend ordered he decided it was a good idea to actually check the table number. You heard me - a garden salad has me trapezing over to Yelp to ensure you don't pass this gem up. I didn't realize it was a bowl full of radicchio only and glad I overlooked that on the menu or I wouldn't have ordered the salad and my taste buds wouldn't have been blessed today. If they bottled the dressing I would have this stuff on auto ship it's soooo good and especially with that Romano cheese saltiness YUM.
