    Cheesy bread

I had a hunk of the Grand Theft Autumn pizza and it was deliciously cheesy, crispy, savory, salty and sweet. I've never had hot honey on pizza before and I'm glad I tried it. I added extra red chili flakes and it was heavenly. It paired perfectly with the Pinetop IPA. This pizza spot is in inside Little Beast brewery. There's tons of outside seating and it is as warm and comfortable with the heaters. You can order from the bar or a QR code. This place is a perfect combo and I'll come back every single time!

1/2 a pint of sour wheat, just perfect.

They serve New York grandma style pizza. I'm a pizza aficionado, but not versed enough to distinguish it from Detroit style. I enjoyed the Grand Theft Autumn, but wasn't blown away by it. For one, the Burrata melted too quickly. And I thought the hot honey would provide a delicious complement, but it somewhat distracted from the experience. Nevertheless, it's a worthy selection. The sour wheat beer pared nicely. The bartender gal was very personable, very nice. Parking is doable. And if you go during off hours, you might have the entire bar to yourself. A winner pizza venue.

(the flavor I would give it 5 stars) We have wanted to try this place for a while now, and finally made it. A lot of pizza spots are closed until 4 or 5, so we were happy this one is open for lunch. Also, nice to find out they make personal size. They have a name for them, but I don't remember it. Hunks maybe. One is a small rectangle and the other is the full pan size. We got the three something, with pesto and red sauce with pecorino.... WOW! What stood out the most was the flavors. So much flavor, and no meat on top. My wife got pepperoni added. She said it was a little spicy. So I saw one review, they didn't know the difference between this and Detroit style. I asked the bartender if this was Detroit, and he said no, but you will not be disappointed. I would agree, it isn't Detroit style. Detroit is thicker, softer, and crispy cheesier on the edges. The crust was very different, and less good, or less soft than what I like. It tastes like it was prebaked, and then assembled later with delicious toppings. I'm not sure what they are doing or what style it is exactly. I've never had a pizza similar to this. For me the crust wasn't delicious, it was good but so tough. We will have to try it again to see what we think. It's also nice they have a patio that is dog friendly.

Stopped by Prettyboy Pizza and tried the Grand Theft Autumn -- and it was fantastic! The flavors were bold and perfectly balanced, making it a perfect pizza for pairing with some beers. Speaking of which, it went great with the drinks at Little Beast nearby, so it was the perfect combo for a chill night out.

Came for the beer at Little Beast and was in awe of the pizza from Prettyboy. They come in smaller 5x7 or in full trays. We tried the Chef's Special which had winter squash, potatoes and roasted garlic. We also added pepperoni to the Sinful Trinity (red, pesto and vodka sauces). Great...really great tasting pizzas! Edges and pepperoni slices were really crisp and that's what made these pizzas next level for me.

Lasagna pizza flavor in "Hunk" portion

Prettyboy pizza is inside Little Beast Brewing in Southeast Portland, so it's the main food option for this popular beer garden. I come here often because of the large, dog-friendly patio and easy QR code ordering. I appreciate that Prettyboy menu offers smaller options for solo diners, called "The Hunks," but also they can make a whole tray of pizzas for larger parties. The style reminds me of Detroit style pizza because of the rectangular presentation and bit of bready center. The "hunks" options is a rectangle cut diagonally, so you get to hefty pieces that's perfect for lunch. Their menu seems to change with the seasons, so sometimes if you like a flavor, it might not be there the next time, although they do have what looks like basic cheese, and also pepperoni. I tried the Grand Theft Autumn that was a mix of pepperoni with mozarella/pecorino and hot honey. Another time I got the "lasagna" which had all the ingredients of a lasagna but in pizza form. The flavors were always good and pizza cooked perfectly with the crispy edges and warm interiors. Again, these are thicker cuts of pizza, so not thin crust. I gave an extra star for the consistently great service of the Little Beast staff, who are always friendly and quick. (One time there was an odd hiccup with the oven so my pizza order was delayed awhile and they were nice enough to comp me the pizza because of the wait.) And of course, nice beer selection to go with your pizza from Little Beast.

Patio area is super cute, dog friendly, and a great place to bring kids too. There is a covered seating area and some tables tucked in towards the main building. Ordering is something you do yourself via QR codes placed at each table. On a Sunday at 6 pm it took about 30 minutes for the slice of pizza I ordered to come out. This place is more casual so service is minimal- you get your own water, place your own order on your phone, and bus your own table. The pizza is delicious, topped with fresh basil and Parmesan slivers. The cheesy edges get a perfect crust after baking. It's a bit pricey at $10 per serving, but if you're looking for a spacious patio to bring the family or meet up with friends (and their dogs) then this would be a great place!

New York and Chicago are still trying to catch up. But we are in the Pacific Northwest, nowhere near Loui's Pizza or Buddy's Pizza (Detroit pizza staples). So many times, what tries to pass off as "Detroit style" falls miles short. Then came "Ranch" where I stood outside and screwed up enough courage to try yet another Detroit style pizza. The interior was small, one wall lined with tomato sauce cans, the menu was bolted to a wall. The smell took me back and that gave me some hope. The pizza arrived at the table, the wife and I have varied tastes so we each ordered a quarter pizza. Mine was pepperoni, the wife had a veggie. The pizzas looked right, square, caramelized crispy edges, heavy toppings... and then on the side of the plate was this cup of ranch dressing. Duh! "Ranch" obviously has to have a good ranch, right? I dipped my pinky finger in the ranch and took a taste. You would not think one ranch can be so far ahead of the others, but ranch is the place for ranch, as well as pizza. My first bite brought a smile to my face, it was just, right in every way that a Detroit pie should be. I have been back to try their #4 pie with sausage and ricotta, and I am looking forward to more trips. If all that was not enough, the service was friendly, the food came out so quick (about 10 minutes) and the place was nice and clean.

A slice of that dipped in their ranch (they give a side of ranch for all pizza orders) is heavenly. Their ranch is actually the best ranch I have ever had. I wish they sold bottles of it so I can have it at home. They also have seasonal specials, like their pickle pizza with hot honey, or the french onion soup pizza (so good). I would recommend doing takeout as there is limited seating.
