We stopped by this food truck while at Hi Sign brewery and we're not disappointed. We got two bowls and both were delicious! The favorite of the two was the Cilantro Bowl with pork. I would not have expected pork to go with spinach so well but the other ingredients brought a beautiful flavor medley together. The Heartbrand Plate with chicken was also tasty. The chicken and sweet potatoes were done perfectly. The kale/vegetable mix was a little strong on the garlic for my preference but didn't ruin the dish by any means. The service was also great!

Ok so. I live right down the street and have been wanting to give this place a try and finally got around to it. Great food ! I really really enjoyed it. I got delivery so I can't really say anything about the service or the ambiance but I will say that my food was delivered very quickly. I will definitely be a returning costumer !

Them not being busy at all but not responding to my order for over an hour again. 3 fails.

The food is good, but trying to get it isn't. Their voicemail says to text but then they don't respond or they initially do but don't follow up when I place the order. This happened 3 times on various days. I waste my work time going there and waiting and they are never busy. Today no customers yet they never responded after saying they are open. I placed an order and then no response for an hour. So, I kept walking.

Went to have drinks with a friend at Armadillo Den and my brother told me about how good Ranch Hand was. He was not wrong, the bowl with the added protein (steak) was delicious, very flavorful. This is my now go to. This is definitely a big filling meal.

A little overpriced I'd say, but the food was really good. They have a new food truck at the Hi Sign Brewery on Shady Ln. They don't post the menu anywhere online, so I'm making a post to share a photo of the menu.

Came here to check out the Armadillo Den, and we sat by the Ranch Hand trailer so naturally we were lured to order and so glad we did! I got the Rosemary bowl and my fiancé got a pulled pork sandwich. The service was great and speedy. I have a really rare food allergy - pumpkin seeds or pepitas, which were on their menu. I really really appreciated that the gentleman at the register acknowledged it and asked the cooks to change gloves when handling my order. I know Ranch Hand is run by two McCombs MBA alums, Hook'em!

Quite possibly one of my fav spots. Their Chimichurri bites are to die for. Crave them at least once a week.

Highly recommend. Their slow roasted pork - lechón... is the real deal. Same for the black beans...not out of a can...slowly simmered...and perfectly seasoned. The worst was the veggie sandwich (pictured). This was before I ate any of it. It was literally Swiss cheese, one slice of tomato, 1 piece of romaine, and a few avocado chunks. The menu said it would also have onions, but either it didn't or the amount was so small I could neither see nor taste it. I tried to eat the sandwich but it tasted like bread with wilted lettuce, so I ended up throwing it away after a few bites. The worst part was that it took 20+ minutes to get the food.... And you have to stand there and wait. They don't text you or anything. I love the Hive, but will be telling everyone I know to avoid this food truck. We got one taco that was decent. A bit dry, but fine. Granted, you can find a lot of tacos that are better than "fine" in Austin.

That's all I ordered, and I got a monster-sized serving of fried pickles. Tons of picnic tables, a big bar for drinks, and even a little fountain you can sit by. Great place to hang out. I ordered the smash burger. It was... fine. Not bad at all, just not in my top tier of Austin smash burgers. The patty came out in pieces, which happens when it gets smashed a little too thin. Totally edible, still tasted good, it just didn't have that cohesive patty feel or the crispy lacy edges I like. I ordered through the QR code on the table, which told me it would take about 30 minutes, but it was ready in 10. Not complaining, but it's always funny when the system just picks a random long estimate and then surprises you. Fries were adequate, nothing memorable. Service was okay. I asked for a side of their special sauce, and the guy looked totally baffled, like no one in the history of burgers had ever asked for sauce on the side. Someone else behind him finally said, "I think he means the Biggie sauce." Now I know what to call it if I ever return. Overall: decent burger, not amazing, but Armadillo Den itself is a great hang. I wouldn't come back specifically for this burger, but I'd happily eat it again if I was already there with friends.
