I've driven by many times and never saw it in spite of the dinasours at the entrance. It was a wet rainy day, which added to the ambiance. There are hundreds of succulents, some I've seen before and some I've never seen. You could spend hours here and I'm sure you will find something to take home. We definitely did! Prices seem reasonable, and selection plenty. There was a guy there who was super knowledgeable and nice. He let us know this nursery had been there for decades and started out as a high school project. Love that for the SFV!

This experience, however, was so off that I felt compelled to share it. I'm assuming the gentleman who helped me was the owner, although I can't say that with certainty. From the beginning, the interaction felt unusually unwelcoming and dismissive. I came in looking to purchase approximately 30-40 plants, which is a pretty good-sized order. The plants were already on the expensive side because they came in relatively small pots. When I first asked about ground cover, I was immediately told to go somewhere else. I then showed him two plants I was interested in, and he said they would work. I asked if there was any discount or flexibility if I purchased a large quantity. He just stared at me at first, so I clarified that I was hoping to negotiate the price because of the size of the order. I was then told that if I purchased 12, I could get one free. I said okay and decided to purchase two plants first to take home and see how they looked. Despite the initial interaction feeling uncomfortable and being told to go somewhere else, I really liked the plants. My husband and I decided that we were willing to purchase the 30 to 40 plants regardless of the interaction or price because we liked them that much. I returned only a few minutes later and said, "I'm back. I'd like to order 40 of these." I then asked if the one plant I had literally just purchased could count toward the quantity, since I had bought it only minutes earlier and was now placing a much larger order. The response was simply, "No," accompanied by a smirk and a laugh. I was honestly shocked that, knowing I was prepared to purchase 40 plants, there wasn't even a willingness to consider counting the one plant I had purchased just minutes earlier toward the order. At that point, it wasn't really about the cost of one plant. It was about the way the interaction was handled: dismissing me to go somewhere else rather than helping me find the right plant in his nursery, staring at me when I asked about purchasing in quantity, and then being unwilling to consider the one plant I had just purchased while laughing about it. I was genuinely surprised by the interaction and ultimately just walked away and said, "You know what, forget it." I've dealt with businesses where the customer service wasn't great before, and sometimes I've simply tolerated the uncomfortable interaction and proceeded with the transaction anyway. But this interaction felt so careless and rude from the beginning that I just couldn't bring myself to proceed with a 40-plant order. Unfortunately, I left feeling that my business was not wanted, so I took it elsewhere. Update- I found a place for half his costs , local and exact same plants! And the people are nice! Three big wins!

They will get it for you in a 5 gallon, 15gallon or 24-gallon size. Our 60-year-old Myer lemon tree died over the heat wave we had in September 2022. I am cutting it down and want to replace it right away. Called Exotic Garden and Jimmy the owner is ordering our new lemon tree with fruit already on it. Jimmy has a been the owner for over 15 years. He has his Gardening contractor's license and is full of knowledge. He has the soil recommendations and fertilizer that will keep all of your fruit trees happy. They have a full selection of Palm trees, privacy bushes, hedges, succulents and decorative plants. Exotic garden is very large and the trees and bushes go a long way. Look at my photos. As you go down the gravel road you can walk in and see trees with fruit all over. I highly recommend Exotic Garden for any of your tree and garden needs.

Probably fungus on the plant when we bought it and didn't see it. When I spoke to the owner he was belligerent and refused to exchange the plant even though it was sold to me defective. His response was that everything dies. Surely, plants die but not one week after purchasing them if they are healthy plants at the nursery. Just know that you are rolling the dice buying plants here. The owner won't do the right thing, no integrity, and doesn't guarantee anything. He's also quick to anger and speaks in a low class manner. Just to think, had he been courteous and exchanged the plant I would have been a loyal customer for years. His unprofessionalism is costing his business money.

I Yelped nurseries that were open mid afternoon on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised that they were still open. I met Ryan and Carlos who were helpful in my search. Carlos showed me the different roses they had and I was so happy to find the last beautiful and fragrant rose Julio Iglesias! He taught me how to cut roses which I thought was nice of him. My dad and I really enjoyed our experience here and will come back again to check out their other plants! If you are looking for anything plant-related, Green Thumb is your place to go. The Canoga Park location is quite large and offers large plants and trees, outdoor plants, indoor plants, patio supplies, bbqs, gardening supplies, and they have garden experts that can advise you if you have questions. You can find anything gardening-related and more! On our most recent visit, we purchased a dwarf madarin orange tree that we are going to grow in a container. We had great help from the staff with picking out a tree, then picking out a container. I wish that I remembered the name of all of the folks that helped up, as each one was great, especially on a really busy day. The one that I do remember is Noah, who was super helpful and friendly. If you sign up on the Green Thumb website for their weekly email newsletters, you will get discount offers. For the 80th anniversary weekend, we were able to get 50% off of one item, which was a great deal.

The fountains are sturdy, elegant, and excellent quality. The order did take some time because the manufacturer was backed up, but the owner Victor was always very kind, patient, and accommodating. Once the fountains were ready, he personally came with his team to deliver at night and assemble them making sure everything was set up precisely and working properly.
