Best nursery in the valley! My husband and I wanted to get some new plants for our house for the front yard. The employees here are so helpful and informative. The plants are beautiful and the pricing is great. There is parking in the lot and on the street. There were so many beautiful plants and flowers to pick from that it was hard to pick just a few. This was my first time visiting Classic Nursery and it definitely will not be my last. I purchased a Pomegranate Tree and a Large Hibiscus Bush for my home. They were both large and the size I requested. The salesman, Danny, was very helpful and answered all my questions in full, plus more. I am not familiar with plants and he instructed me how to water it and how often. He was very kind, patient, and always had a smile on his face. The nursery looks beautiful with a variety of plants to choose from. It is very well organized and very clean. Delivery is also available which is super convenient for those who do not have an SUV or a truck. They have things ranging from roses, fruit trees, shrubs, privacy hedges, cactus, succulents, and more. I am more than happy with my purchase. I really appreciate the time that Danny spends with each customer. It's a nursery experience I have never gotten before from any other nursery. Plants are so ridden with bugs that I'm snapping them off me as I write this review in my car parked outside this place LOL. Nobody was helpful and everyone was rude. No organization to the place. Bottles and bottle caps in the plants from dehydrated workers everywhere. Can't find where to pay. Only good thing about this place is you can find tall plants. Ugh did this place give me the willies. I would give them one star but they had a plant I really wanted. It was a good price but I refused to get it because they wouldn't lower the price for me. since I wasn't being helped and had to chuck around enormous plants to ask how much they were from person to person until I finally someone had the retail knowledge to tell me the price... The owner Danny knows all things plant and is super helpful. He is patient and will answer any question you have - you can tell he really wants you to have the info you need to take care of them, and he and his staff will carefully load up your plants for a safe drive home. Wow, let me tell you the customer service here was amazing and just a delight. This is a family owned business and it really shows how much they care about their plants and customer relationships. I came in to get some plants for a section in my house and Danny the salesman was very helpful in showing me around the nursery and helped me pick out the plants that I needed for my yard. He even gave me info on how to take care of the plants and how to water each one and when to water unlike the big box stores which provide no info about the plants beyond what kind of plant it is. Danny was the friendliest guy I ever met and i am sure glad they have him there as a salesman and now a close friend of mine. I will be coming back here to get more plants in the future. We were looking for trees. We called in advance. Talked to Danny. He said that he has them. drove all the way to their nursery. First of all he was too busy for a long time. Finally it was out turn. So a friend told me to come and check out Classic Nursery Tarzana and I'm really happy I did. This place is fantastic! The plants were beautiful and the staff was so great, friendly and knowledgable! Any questions that I had about multiple products were answered right away and I noticed that the salesman spoke English and Spanish. They have a nice selection of plants. They seem to be healthy and looked good. The owner was very nice- I came by after it was closed-but waited to buy. When I came back to purchase- the guy that helped me (not the owner) was very helpful and nice- although he told me a bit higher prices than the owner quoted. I checked in on yelp and received a 10% discount- but the guy helping me almost didn't give it to me because he said it was only good on holidays and they are closed on holidays.-(not sure if he was joking or not). Classic Nursery has been my go to place for landscapping for 20 years or more. Great price, great variety, great advice, and they remember my name when I go there which is only occassionally. I know it is the choice of professionals, because it is a huge plot of land, where they grow from seedlings thousands of plants. But as a home owner with occassional needs for a shrub or a tree or few items they are just perfect. It was hot and difficult to shop due to the heat, at least the big branches have a green house type of situation where its cooler. Also, I thought I would be getting like top notch service if you are going to a specialized nursery. Danny was ok, he was cool but sorta moody too. I had too many questions I guess, and it was hot to be in the sun. You save about $1 on each plant compared to the big box stores. Danny is a nice guy helped us with the selection and arranged people quickly to come and plant the trees and other plants. He also came over with his folks and provided some advice to how to maintain. We are very happy with the service and time, how ever due the hard winds we are not sure if the trees are going to stay straight as they suppose to be. Shopping for plants can be a hassle but I am really glad I made it to Classic Nursery. As a novice gardener, I really appreciated the personal attention I received. Danny was really awesome and took time to look at the pictures of my new garden on my phone and help me make a plan and find the best plants for my landscape that would be easy to maintain. I bought half of my plants and did some price comparison and I was shocked that some of the plants I bought were almost half as much as some other nurseries were charging. Obviously I came back for the rest. I was also impressed that the plants all looked very well maintained and even in the heat they weren't drooping or "sad" looking! I do really prefer supporting smaller businesses, but sometimes the cost can be too high. Classic Nursery won me over on all aspects, quality, price, friendly. I would recommend highly. I hope they keep the prices low after everyone finds out about my hidden treasure near Wilber and Victory. Five gallon hearty plants for $4.00!!!! So I bought 3 yellow hibiscus bushes about 6 weeks ago and they are thriving. Mind you I do not have a green thumb. I went back today and again Antonio was there to answer all my questions and I found a few more drought tolerant plants.
