I found Joe Chavez Garage Doors while looking for a local, family owned business with good ratings!…read moreBoom- they were it! I originally contacted them to replace the rubber seals on my garage door but was pleasantly surprised they've expanded to home repair/renovations! So far, they eve done three jobs for me 1. Garage door seal: I thought this would be a home repair I needed, would see, but wouldn't make a difference. JCGD came out, replaced the seals and inspected my garage door, letting me know it's in good working order. The seals look so great, my home looks better! 2. Kitchen counter seals. The seals along my kitchen counter were deteriorating. Another must do job that I wasn't inspecting to see a difference. JCGD came out and did an amazing job, even suggesting I go with a lighter color to give the counters a new look. Again, I love how it all turned out and my kitchen looks fantastic! 3. Bonus room floors: the bonus room in my home had tile floors and I wanted to redo these since the day I bought this home. JCGD helped me select floors and did an amazing job, it's now my favorite room in my home! JCGD have been nothing but professional, friendly and helpful. The quality of work is excellent and the prices reasonable! I have more home projects and I will be calling JCGD

The steel plate on my wrought iron front gate was dented and scratched during outdoor remodeling…read morelast year. The paint was terribly faded and I was looking into powder coating it. I didn't want a fresh powder coat job on a damaged gate, so I Yelped for welding services close to me. I called Precision Welding and Adan answered and came over to my house within the hour. He was going to give me an estimate for replacing the steel plate. The gate is a little smaller than 4' x 6'. To my surprise, he told me they could take it over to his guy that does powder coating. That sealed the deal for me. We texted back and forth and we set up an appointment to get the job done. My gate was removed on a Tuesday and was reinstalled as good as new by Friday afternoon (I was told Friday, Saturday at the latest). This was important to me because I have three dogs and a pool. I'm old school and like to have a written contract, but I realize that nowadays texting serves the same purpose. Great craftsmanship, excellent communication, great value, all in timely fashion. I highly recommend Precision Welding. As a bonus, I had my spring replaced with a self closing hinge. I have needed that for decades. The old setup would slam shut, especially on windy days, cracking the brick wall. I've been afraid I would have to replace my wall. Note that the side rails need to be painted. We didn't want to remove them because they are inside my new pavers. I received a can of paint and will do that myself.

After interviewing more than 7 gate companies, we decided that Herotec was the best option for us…read more What ultimately made us decide to go with them was after we got the initial price quote, we wanted them to make some revisions to adjust a few more things. Avi was the only one that called us back right away and asked to meet again so he can fully understand what we were looking for and promptly provided a revised quote - which was very reasonable compared to their competitors. Once we signed the contract, Avi was really good with communicating with us. He lined up the electrician, the gardener to do the prep work, and the gate installation itself - all the while making sure we were kept in the loop. The timeline was very reasonable and everyone that worked on the project was very professional and friendly. The custom swing gate was exactly how we wanted it to be. Throughout the entire process, they were very flexible with all the customizations that we wanted and would often go above and beyond. The quality and craftsmanship were exceptional - it was actually better than what we had hoped for. The overall experience was wonderful and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a gate installation.

Absolutely Fabulous Service! Highly Recommend Herotec!…read more If you need honest, professional, and reliable gate repair in LA, call Herotec immediately. After dealing with shady, unlicensed people, Herotec was a breath of fresh air. The technician arrived right on time, immediately handed me his professional business card, and was incredibly polite. He quickly diagnosed the problem, got my gate safely back on its track, and tightened the chain--all for an incredibly fair and honest price. He didn't try to upsell me or overcharge me. He also went above and beyond to fix a badly seized manual-release motor portion left behind by a previous installer's terrible work. Even though the previous damage was too severe to fully repair on the spot, I deeply appreciated his honest effort and expertise. I received a professional, clean invoice right away. If you want a legitimate company that does great work and has actual integrity, use Herotec. I will be recommending them to everyone I know!

The owner of this company was extremely unprofessional while working at the apartment complex next…read moredoor. He parked directly below my window with all four doors of his vehicle open and blasted music at an excessive volume for an extended period of time. I politely asked if he could turn it down, and instead of responding professionally, he made rude comments. He told me, "If you think this is bad, wait until Sunday," and dismissed my concern by saying, "It's already 11 a.m." People work overnight shifts, have young children, or simply deserve to enjoy some peace in their own homes. Being loud in a residential neighborhood is inconsiderate regardless of the time. After telling me to "wait two minutes," he got into his vehicle and repeatedly honked / laid on his horn the entire time he was leaving the driveway, which felt intentionally disrespectful. I called the company afterward to report the incident and was surprised to learn that the person I spoke with identified him as the owner. That makes this behavior even more disappointing, as owners should set the standard for professionalism and respect. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.
