I found Joe Chavez Garage Doors while looking for a local, family owned business with good ratings! Boom- they were it! I originally contacted them to replace the rubber seals on my garage door but was pleasantly surprised they've expanded to home repair/renovations! So far, they eve done three jobs for me 1. Garage door seal: I thought this would be a home repair I needed, would see, but wouldn't make a difference. JCGD came out, replaced the seals and inspected my garage door, letting me know it's in good working order. The seals look so great, my home looks better! 2. Kitchen counter seals. The seals along my kitchen counter were deteriorating. Another must do job that I wasn't inspecting to see a difference. JCGD came out and did an amazing job, even suggesting I go with a lighter color to give the counters a new look. Again, I love how it all turned out and my kitchen looks fantastic! 3. Bonus room floors: the bonus room in my home had tile floors and I wanted to redo these since the day I bought this home. JCGD helped me select floors and did an amazing job, it's now my favorite room in my home! JCGD have been nothing but professional, friendly and helpful. The quality of work is excellent and the prices reasonable! I have more home projects and I will be calling JCGD read more

I had an amazing experience with Joe. He came out today and was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The quality of his work was outstanding. Everything was done neatly, cleanly, and with great attention to detail. What really stood out to me was not only his professionalism but also the kind of person he is. After finishing the repair, he even took a moment to pray for me and my family. That was such a thoughtful and meaningful gesture, and something I truly appreciated. It's not every day you meet someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about their customers. Excellent service, great workmanship, and an even better person! I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and professional garage door technician. Definitely a 5-star experience! read more

Garage door springs don't break at convenient times -- mine snapped at 6:30 PM on a Saturday. I called Joe, and he answered immediately. After I explained the issue and sent photos, he responded quickly with a clear, fair quote. No inflated emergency pricing. No vague ranges. Just straightforward, transparent communication. We scheduled service for Sunday morning, and he arrived exactly when promised. What separates Joe from many service providers is his professionalism and honesty. The price he quoted was the price I paid. He worked efficiently, explained what needed to be done, and completed the repair with precision. Reliable. Responsive. Fair. In a space where it's easy to overcharge or oversell, Joe operates with integrity -- and that's worth recognizing. If you need garage door repair done right the first time, Joe Chavez Garage Doors is a call you can make with confidence. read more

Joe is the man! Joe and his son are the Batman and Robin of LA garage door repair. Our garage door springs snapped on Halloween of all days... and Joe was here in a SNAP to save the day. Joe is extremely professional! I've had him come out to my home on two separate occasions to address issues with my garage door, and both experiences have been excellent. Most recently, after high winds and a power outage caused the garage door coils to malfunction, I was unable to use my garage door. I called on a Sunday, when Joe was spending time with his family, and he still took the time to return my call. He came out the following day, right on time, and professionally explained what was going on. What I appreciated most was his honesty and fair pricing. These days, I understand that nothing comes cheap, but it's refreshing to find someone who provides quality service without overcharging. The job was completed in just 45 minutes, and my garage door was working perfectly again. Joe also went the extra mile by checking the sensors for dust and debris, recalibrating the garage door, and making sure I opened and closed it successfully before he left. Customer service like this is hard to find these days! Joe is knowledgeable, reliable, honest, and genuinely cares about doing the job right. I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing garage door issues. You won't be disappointed! Kym T. read more

I can't say enough about Joes services. My garage springs broke randomly and I needed repair of course. A neighbor recommended Joe and immediately reached out expecting a few days before receiving response. No. Joe answered immediately asked for some general photos and provided a quote within 10 minutes. He notified me that he could come that day (mind you this is coming close to 5pm). I was seriously in shock. Most businesses do not come out or even respond that quickly. When he arrived, he assessed and confirmed pricing and got to work after answering some general questions. The other fantastic piece- he finished in like 15-20 minutes! Very communicative, responsive, knowledgeable, and overall really good guy. Definitely would recommend and couldn't say enough about the level of service. Truly exceptional! Thanks Joe! read more

My garage door came off the tracks and unspooled the wires due to hitting our SUV rear hatch. I had previously used Joe a couple of years ago on the same issue so I called him and his office scheduled him for next a.m. service. He arrived on time and looked at the problem and knew exactly what was wrong and gave me his quote. Of course, I was hoping for something less BUT it was a fair price so I told him to go ahead. He promptly fixed the problem and now my garage door works perfectly. He brought his son to help him and since I grew up working with my grandfather at a young age, I really liked that. Joe even gave me a healing prayer at the end of the project which I welcomed because, hey, who couldn't use a good healing prayer. In summary. Great service and Joe is a personable guy so 5 Stars for him. read more

My highest recommendations for Joe! Our garage door cable came loose, and it was late Saturday afternoon. I didn't want to have an open garage door overnight so I started making calls. As soon as I spoke to Joe, I had a good feeling about him and he was the only person that was willing to give me a ballpark estimate (I sent him pictures) over the phone. He didn't price gouge the situation and showed up on time just as he said. Joe was also super nice and a pleasure to talk to. Thank you, Joe!! read more

Joe Chavez and his employees are courteous and arrive when they say they will. My garage door works beautifully. Thank you!

We were stranded because our garage door would not open and was far too heavy to lift. I called Joe before 6:30am on a Saturday. He came that morning and had to replace both springs. Watching him do the work, it was very obvious he is an expert. Within about 20 minutes he replaced the springs and performed maintainance on the door. We have a 1 yr. warranty and the cost was very reasonable. While he was working, he received two calls for help. Joe is in demand because he is excellent. Thank you, Joe! read more
