This guy was great! Called three different companies for pricing and availability on a residential garage door repair. Jimmy's attitude and response was all I needed to hear over the phone to know he was the right guy for the job. When I asked when he could do the job, he responded "right now".... texted my address and he was at my door in 15 minutes. Just an overall pleasant guy with a great sense of humor. Very knowledgeable and not afraid to share his wisdom. Learned a bunch today watching Jimmy work. Would recommend Jimmy in heart beat to any neighbors, friends or family. This guy honestly deserves any work that comes his way - we wouldn't consider any other guy for any future repairs. read more

One of our garage door's torsion spring broke recently and had to find a good Garage Door repair man to replace it. Thankfully to God, we've found Jimmy (who we know call Uncle Jimmy) from Garage Door Handyman on Yelp. Not only did he quote us with a reasonable price, but he also did a phenomenal job in replacing both torsion springs, plus other parts of our garage door! We're very happy with the overall results, and he's pleasant to work with... and that's why we'll surely recommend him to our family, friends and neighbors. read more

Quick and timely response. Replaced my ancient garage door opener with a new sleep silent device that I am proud to operate with the neighbors watching! New opener includes app to operate from afar which is great if you forget to close the door. Provided a quick lesson on how everything worked. Cleaned up and bid me a great day! I don't know what the price could have been but my fee was more than reasonable considering the expertise and experience he has in the industry. You truly get what you pay for! read more

Best garage door expert ever, hands down. I started a DIY automatic door install that got me about halfway in 8 grueling hours before I caved and contacted Jimmy. I messaged him on Thursday, and he came out Saturday morning and finished the install in about 2 hours. He was professional, incredibly efficient, and knew the answer and solution to every question I had. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was secure and even fixed some janky sections for my other garage door. It was a very reasonable rate as well, and I was so pleased at what an amazing job he did. Jimmy is your man for all your garage needs. read more

Jimmy Bodine gets it done. I called him in a real pickle, assuming I was going to end up spending hundreds or more to fix the dumb mistake I made (didn't pull the car in far enough; garage got stuck on bumper; no other way into garage). Jimmy Bodine also figured we'd need to replace parts and that it wouldn't be cheap. But, he got in there with a heavy duty crowbar, a wood block, and a light touch. Got the thing open, lubed it up, and was on his way. Did I scratch the sh*t out of my wife's car? Yes. But did Jimmy Bodine prevent further damage to the car? Also yes. And thanks to Jimmy Bodine my garage door suffered no damage at all. Thank you Jimmy Bodine, you sweet angel of garage door handiness. read more

I had a garage door disaster on of course, Christmas Eve day. The garage door was torn and jammed at an angle and could not be closed. I found Jimmy on Yelp and even with the holiday he was here in less than an hour and was able to get my door closed. I knew I needed a new door and Jimmy would be my choice for the install. Jimmy and Jose came and installed the new door in 4 hours with a state of the art opener. He is very professional, fair and honest and gave me some upgrades at no extra charge. I highly recommend Jimmy for all of your garage door needs. Thanks Jimmy. read more

1st time he came, a couple years ago, he was fast and honest and very reasonably priced. Last night, I went to close the garage door, and wouldn't you know that it wouldn't close. I sent him an email at midnight to call me ASAP and I woke up to the sultry sounds of Jimmy Bodine. He was at my house within 45 minutes and guaranteed to not leave until the job was done. So a few ball bearings and lightening bars and bolts later (I have no idea what I'm talking about), the garage opens and closes as quiet and efficient as a purring cat. Thanks Jimmy! We called Jimmy on a SUNDAY (and he answered!) because our garage door wouldn't close. Rather than coming out and charging us a fee, he was able to trouble shoot our issues over the phone. We sent him pictures and he called us back with some advice, which were spot on. He helped us solve the problem within minutes, and was very sweet & patient (and funny too!) with our lack of knowledge about garage doors. If you are in need of any services related to your garage door, call Jimmy. read more

Our tilt-up single garage door was not straight when closed and nor did it close all the way. We called Jimmy Bodine in the morning and he arrived within 30 minutes to assess the garage door issues. After discussing our concerns with him, he went to work right away straightening and balancing the garage door. To help steady the garage door during opening and closing, Jimmy added stabilizers on each side of the garage door. Now the garage door opens and closes quietly and it is now straight. Jimmy listened attentively to our concerns and knew exactly what to do to make the garage door function the way it should. Jimmy resurrected our garage door and gave it new life. We liked that he didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. His pricing is very reasonable and we would not hesitate to call him again for any future garage door issues. Jimmy is a garage-door genius! read more

Needed a new garage door motor for a client and Jimmy came to seee it andd said a new motor wasn't needed and repaired the old one instead. I called Jimmy at 8am about a broken bracket on my garage door. He was able to come by within 2 hours and he had the door repaired, and all greased and checked up within an hour. He was an incredibly nice guy and he didn't try to upsell any unnecessary repairs. He pointed out a few things to keep an eye on - but his cost was extremely reasonable and just as he estimated. I would highly recommend Jimmy anytime. Great guy and great service. read more

We called two other places before Jimmy came, and he was here within half an hour. He really did his absolute best to try and get our existing system working (to the point where he asked us to check to see on Amazon if we could get the correct circuit board in a timely manner, since his sources were taking longer). We tried and he tried, but it was going to be 2 weeks before the parts could arrive, so we elected to have him replace our system and he did a perfect job. Can't say enough good things about him. Thank you! read more

After a pathetic and unfortunate series of events that resulted in me erasing my garage remote codes and being unable to get into my garage on a Saturday night, Jimmy came out at a moment's notice on Sunday morning, got the garage open with minimal chaos, and proceeded to teach me everything I will ever need to know about my garage door. He did a complete tuneup and replaced the worn springs after explaining my options, and now my garage door works better than before and will for many years.
