Zach has been here twice this year back in February to change a panel of hinges in one of the rows and today for yearly Maintenance. We have an older model that still uses the old twisted light bulbs so we've stocked up on those to preserve the life of this unit . You cannot use LED's in the older model. They cause synch problems with remotes . Maybe next year we'll upgrade to a new opener if any other problems but so far our older model is just perfect with the right bulbs . We are doing some maintenance repairs , changing bottom seal & flange which is sun rotted and brittle , and the entire rubber seal around the exterior for a very fair price with one move in only one labor charge . I had a great experience with Archway Garage Doors. I accidentally set my garage door off track, and they made the whole repair process smooth from start to finish. I appreciated the reminder texts confirming my appointment--it gave me peace of mind that help was on the way. James was the repairman who came out, and he showed up right on time. Not only did he fix the problem, but he also took the time to teach me a few things about keeping my 20+ year old door working longer. He explained how to properly lubricate it and even helped me understand why my door sometimes wouldn't open due to cross-signals from my LED light bulbs. He raised the sensor slightly to prevent it from being knocked out of alignment and even blew debris out of the sensor area (and my driveway!) before leaving. I was also blown away at the price, which was more than fair. When you really need them, they let you down. Unreliable, shady and incompetent. We purchased a home in Santa Monica, where the garage door was recently installed by Archway. When we called for an issue with an incorrect installation, they first cited that they no longer serve Santa Monica, so they cannot honor their warranty. When I persisted, the operator asked to speak to management, and then claimed that the warranty is 'not transferrable'. Even if the previous owner were to call them to get them to fix it. Apparently the installation was botched, and the door needed 'rebalancing'. I like doing business with honest folks, not the ones who make you do legalese and not honor their warranty or stand by their work. Be wary of Archway Garage Doors and consider others who will support you when you need them, not just when at the time of purchase. Super disappointed! read more

Alexis and Zack at Archway are great to work with. They figured out the issue with our opener, which was a worn part caused by the belt being too tight when the unit was first installed. Our unit is 6 years old and they had to order the worn out part. But Alexis kept in touch with us consistently to make sure we knew the situation, and that they would make sure to follow through. The part arrived within a couple days, and the door got fixed just a couple days later. Amazing!!! How often do you need a garage door repair? Well, when you do you need right away, because your door won't close, and the wire has unspoiled and your wife is freaking out because everyone can see in ...etc etc etc!! One call to Archway, Zachary come out and is terrific. Bottom line is the spring lost tension and the spring could be 10 to 15 years old. Zachary recommended a tune up but I wanted a new spring to be safe. Install and tune up done in under 30 minutes in an extremely professional way and reasonable price. Highly recommended. read more

Warning to people: make sure they tell you ahead of time how much any work will cost you before they actually do the work. This review is only for a visit made today. The owner Rick came to check our sensors and asked about one of the sensors being moved. I did not hide any information from him and answered truthfully on how it was most likely moved after their installation. He then grabbed a hammer, moved the sensor and finished the actual work in a couple of minutes. Once done, he then revealed that those minutes would cost $125. My wife scheduled the call and requested on the call that the cost be revealed ahead of time before doing any work. This was not done at all. He also didn't reveal that sensors weren't covered by warranty until after doing the work. If we had known that the cost would be that much for slightly moving a sensor with a hammer, then we could have easily done that ourselves. We told him about this and weren't content. He didn't charge us, but in return decided to void our warranty and then mess up our sensor and drive away. We really did like this company, but after the way Rick left, we won't be recommending them anymore. read more
