I compared four repair companies. The prices ranged from $1,500, with lots of unnecessary services and a long warranty, to $450 for spring replacements and basic maintenance. We chose the latter, Gr8. No BS, no hard sales pitch, and a repaired door in a few hours. I'm happy. read more

Rafa came out and looked my garage door equipment over and said all seemed well, but I asked him to service the door and equipment since there had been ashes and asbestos in my garage. He did a great a job and charged me the minimum which I appreciated. read more

I have a couple of Genie garage doors. Over the last several months, I noticed that the doors seemed to struggle a bit, particularly when opening. They were also sounding loud and "rough". I contacted a couple of companies for estimates to fix or tweak it. The first guy who came out simply did not leave a good first impression. The second guy - Tyler of GR8 Garage Doors - was supposed to come out that same afternoon. He gave me a courtesy call to let me know he was running late and asked if he could still come by. I suggested some morning, instead, which we agreed. When he did come over, he greeted me with a smile, shook my hand and called me by my name. He patiently listened to my concerns about the garage doors. He explained the problem(s) clearly and gave me several options to consider - tweaking the springs, replacing the springs, or getting new garage door motors with new springs. We discussed the pros and cons of each option. In the end, I opted for replacing the springs since they were at least 10 years old. The Genie motors probably still have a few more years left, so we decided to leave them alone for now. Tyler told me he could replace the springs right then and there. I gave him the go-ahead. While working, Tyler continued to be polite, professional and thorough. He also tightened all of the hardware on the doors, as well as lubed the tracks. Tyler gave me pointers on how to keep the rollers/tracks in optimum condition. At the end of the job, I saw a HUGE difference in how the garage doors operated! THANK YOU, Tyler and GR8 Garage Doors! read more

We're in Encino and we used GR8 Garage Doors twice, once to repair a broken garage door and then to replace it. I definitely recommend them both for garage door repairs and replacements. read more

I wanted to wait a few months after my garage door had been installed to write a review in case anything went wrong and so far everything is gr8. I did a lot of research when I was looking to upgrade my garage door and opener. I narrowed it down to a few companies and ended up getting estimates from four of those companies. I opted for Gr8 Garage Doors because when comparing apples to apples, their estimate was the best. There was another estimate that was a slightly less expensive but that door was not nearly as nice. The door took a while to arrive, but scheduling installation was immediate. The installer was very nice and professional. His work was clean and fast. You could tell he had a lot of experience installing doors. The finished product looks amazing. All my neighbors have commented on what a difference the new garage door makes on the look of my house and I also love how quiet my new garage door opener is. The owner of Gr8 Garage Doors is great to deal with. I definitely recommend anyone looking for a new garage door or garage door opener to at least get an estimate from them. read more

We are very happy with GR8 Garage Door installation! The other companies that gave us estimates could not replicate our original garage door and only had different options for us to select. And they did it in one day! It is lighter and silent than the other one we are completely satisfied with GR8 Garage door company! read more

Outstanding service provided for two garage doors. GR8 Garage Doors worked closely with us to fit the garage doors to the new construction architecture and Architectural Review Board. One was an insulated door and the other a custom size, custom color powder coated glass door. Installations were as scheduled and on-time. Details were noted during the installment so that they looked right on the inside also with proper overhead clearance for the size of the garage. Both doors working perfectly.
