I recently purchased a new home and had been warned that the gate mechanism was faulty. For a few days I had. Even using the old gate and it was working fine, until one day I locked myself and my car into the property having to manually push the gate open. Eric was my first call, he answered the phone immediately and asked for photos. His first hope was that the gate could be repaired with simply part swapping. Once he saw the photo he very sweetly said, this is a very old system, I know we can fix it but it will take a while to find parts etc. I appreciated that he wanted to save me money, and I insisted we do a new system. This was a Thursday on a holiday weekend and on Sunday he came out and installed an entirely new unit, programmed all of my remotes, gave me an app that can open and close my gate remotely, and did it all with a smile. A few days later i realized I wanted another remote and he took time out of his day to meet me and program another. He didn't even charge me. I would recommend Eric day and night, he was kind, honest and hard working. He taught me how to use my system and how to override it if I ever got stuck again haha. He will be my first call for any garage and gate read more

Gate was stuck open in the late afternoon so I needed a quick same day service. Eric was there within an hour. He fixed it quickly and even went the extra mile to polish/fix the smaller things he noticed about the gate that was outside of the job! Gate is working smoothly now and service was great. Would come back for any future issues and recommend! read more

Eric was amazing. Returned my calls promptly. Arrived when he said he would. Talked me through all the options for replacing the weatherstripping and servicing my two garage doors. Top notch service. Eric was so professional and prompt! I was having trouble with my garage not closing or opening with the remote and it was so inconvenient. I know first world problems, but when you're leaving for work at 5am the last thing you want to do is run around your condo in the rain to close the garage! Anyway. I had to go through 2 other repair companies before I got blessed with Eric. I kept getting told just change my batteries. Finally Eric came out and confirmed it was the transmitter on my garage and the whole the needed to be changed out. We had an old one so we definitely got an upgrade! We received our new transmitter and step by step Bluetooth programming instructions. I have confidence in his service and know he is reliable and work is guaranteed. Thank you so much!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Eric! In my day filled with rude and unhelpful people, Eric was a bright light in the darkness that was my day. Upon arriving home from a week out of town, a piece of concrete derailed our gate. I called the number on the gate door cover and Eric picked up. He proceeded to call, text, and FaceTime me to help me resolve the issue on my own. With his help, I was able to fix the gate, without spending any money. I immediately texted him, asking if I could Zelle or Venmo him some cash for his help and he wouldn't accept it. Not many people like this exist. If you're looking for someone to hire, I personally could not recommend Eric more! read more

I was able to get a new garage door installed within a week, as opposed to 4+weeks from a favorite home store. The price was comparable, service Excellent and Eric and his team were finished within 3 hours. Excellent workmanship and follow through. I would definitely recommend this company! read more

We were having problems with our garage door not opening properly. Eric was able to repair and service it back to a working condition even though its an old door. I called Master Garage Doors and gates because I have an electric gate for a property in Sunset Square that did not have a motion sensor to open the gate if someone walked by it. For safety reasons I was concerned either a car would get dinged or a dog or child could get hurt by the gate. I called Master Garage doors and Gates and I'm sure glad I did, they were out in no time flat, and in addition to installing a new sensor for a very reasonable price, they gave the gate a tune-up, and were very helpful! I am calling Master garage doors and gates from now on whenever I need help! read more

Called Eric to come take a look at my broken garage door and he responded quickly and arrived promptly. Stop looking at other reviews now! Eric is your man !!!!! We had an issue with our gate that we tried to trouble shoot and unfortunately made worse. Eric came out the same day, spent an hour fixing our mistakes and ultimately resolving the issue. He also let us know our options and that if we wanted to we could upgrade our equipment (we had been having issues for months). Because of his honesty and integrity we decided to have him order some new parts and install them for us as well. He came back the next day and the gate is finally running again like it was brand new. We really liked Eric because he was incredibly professional, reliable, gave us our options without pushing anything on us and most importantly he is HONEST + hardworking. People like him are hard to come by, and if you choose to call him you'll be happy you did. He's an Angel. read more

If you need your garage door fixed, replaced quickly and perfectly- or if you just want to meet an honest and good person call Master Garage Doors and Gates and ask for Eric!!! PROFESSIONAL-We met with Eric on Monday at 4:30-ish. He was courteous enough to call us and let us know (way before our 4:00 appt.) that he would be a little late As soon as he got here. He tried to show us all the options available to us. But we were so impressed already with him, we told him we didn't want it fixed. We wanted a new garage door. QUICK- So, after we decided which door we wanted and Eric looked at our (couldn't be messier) garage, he asked us if we would like a light and a socket in the garage as we would need it for the motor anyways. We said yes and so he recommended one of his electricians. We told him we wanted to get this done fairly quickly. So, he spoke to him on the phone during our meeting on Monday and told Eric he could do the motor and the light on Tuesday (I mean the next day!!). With that Eric was able to order the door the motor and have our garage door done yesterday!!! IT's BEAUTIFUL! He also showed us how to program the garage to open from our phones. HONEST!!!- Like one of the other Yelpers wrote, "... I've been around the block". Holey Moley! Besides telling us the differences of the qualities of materials used to make garage doors, tracks, Eric taught us so much about what to do and not do in case there are certain problems we run into after several years of use. The most important one for me was CALL ERIC!!! He is soooooooooooooo sincere too. All that he has told us he would do to help us, he did it and as soon as he said he would. He walks the walk! VERY VERY VERY unusual to find business that follow through as well! I feel like we have made a new gem of a friend as well as a great garage door installer. I think that because we have the same work ethic and values we are magnets to each other! read more

I can't say enough good things about Eric's work. He went above and beyond today replacing our old, noisy garage door opener. He was honest, timely and just the nicest guy! Eric, was extremely knowledgable. So much so, he first tried to trouble shoot and spend the time with me on the phone to see if I could resolve the issue on my own to save time and money. Once he came, he was able to install a new garage door the same day. I have other services come out and garage door always a bit loud and clunky, Eric cares about his profession and my new system runs smooth and quiet. I Highly recommend. Personable, honest, no pressure approach. read more

Fantastic service. They were prompt and communicative about scheduling a time to come out and evaluate our broken gate as soon as possible. They took the time to clearly explain the problems and issues with our gate as well as gave a fair price for the repair. Much appreciated and certainly would use again. Of note, they did charge a fee to come out ($75 I believe?) and troubleshoot but that fee was applied to the cost of the repair since we chose to use them to fix it. read more

I have been using Erik and his team at Master Garage Door and Gate for the last 6 years. My home had a driveway gate opener which was quite old and Erik could have easily told me to just replace it. Instead he worked on the unit intermittently for 4 years until it finally died and had to be replaced. When he did have to replace the gate opener he arrived the next day and completed the installation in about 10 hours which allowed me and my family the ability to exit our driveway. I also had an issue with my garage door and again Erik's team showed up the next day and repaired the issue quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend the team at Master Garage Door and Gate whenever you require those type services. They are professional, knowledgeable and always leave your home clean and tidy after their work. My sincere appreciation to both Erik and Tommy for all their hard work! read more

Amazing! My electric door broke off the frame. Eric immediately answered my call and came later that same day to make sure I could use the door, and came back the next morning to install the new electric opener. Eric was friendly and professional, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. He never tried to "sell" me, and made suggestions to save me money-- his integrity is obvious. There is a reason for his good reviews! read more

I called Eric and asked if they install new bifold garage doors. He said they can make one and provide an estimate as long as I provide him with photos and dimensions which I did. A week later I didn't hear from him so I called him to see how the estimate was coming along. He sounded surprised that I was calling to follow up but said he will get working on it. It's now over two weeks and I haven't heard back from him. If he couldn't do it, why couldn't he just say so. What a waste of my time and effort! read more

Eric was the man. It was a busted garage door that we needed to have replaced pretty quick. He came and replaced it flawlessly and even took the old door off the lot. Also stuck to his agreed fee and was a cool guy. Reasonable rate too. Thanks Eric! read more

We had a great experience with Eric and Master Garage Doors & Gates. Our garage door spring broke during the holiday weekend, and we were unable to open the door with both of our cars inside. I contacted Master Garage due to the many positive Yelp reviews, Eric was at our house in less than 2 hours, and he had the entire job done about an hour later. In addition to replacing the broken spring, he lubricated the moving parts and helped us solve an issue with our garage remotes. Eric was very professional, friendly and just an all around nice guy - and he did a great job. While we hope that our garage door continues to work and we don't need him for a while, we would definitely contact Master Garage again for repairs. Thanks, Eric! read more

We have a very large and heavy garage door. The springs broke from old age (sounded like an earthquake) on a Sunday. Eric came to our house the next morning (right on time), diagnosed the problem and saw that my husband's car was stuck in the garage. I wrote a glowing review 4 years ago and gave Eric at Master Garage Doors & Gates, deservedly, 5 stars. The bad news, I had yet another garage door crisis. The good news, Eric was there for me once again and even though he had had a long and crazy day he showed up at 7:00pm at my home and fixed the problem. It is so great to know that I have Eric as my "go-to" for any issues with our garage or gates. I am grateful. Thank you Eric!!! read more

HE'S FANTASTIC. I just hired Eric for second time in a few years. He installed a super quiet motor that works beautifully with our old heavy wood garage door. Eric is wonderful; he's truly concerned about doing the job correctly. We are all lucky to have someone like him in our community who is so professional and skilled. He's a rare gem in the home repair contractor world, and hopefully you will appreciate him and his work as much as I do. read more

I called Eric when my garage door wouldn't open more than 2" and I had tried everything I could think of to fix it. He came out within 2 hours and knew immediately what was wrong. He had the right size spring on his truck and he did a maintenance check on all my bolts, opener and tracks as well. He is a very nice guy, the price seemed reasonable and his customer service was fabulous. Would 100% recommend him. read more

Exceptional customer service. I called Master Garage after a previous vendor was over 1.5 hours late for the job. Eric came by the same day (after hours) to inspect the garage door and determine a proper solution. Next day he showed up on time, with the required materials, and got the job done. Exactly what you want in a contractor. No need to look further. This is your guy. read more

Christmas Eve morning and my wife returns from the store and our garage breaks. Well after searching yelp I came across this place. Eric came to my house within 2 hours of calling and took care of a broken set of springs and an entire motor assembly. If you need quick and reliable service for garage door repair with a reasonable price, give Eric a call and let him take care of your disaster. Thanks again dude. read more

Eric lives up to his company's name. He is a true master. When we couldn't get our automatic garage door to close this morning (Friday the 13th no less!) , we had visions of a long weekend with reduce home security and a brand new car exposed in a neighborhood with rising crime. To our great relief Eric answered the phone and offered to fix it within hours. He called several times to keep me aware of his ETA and arrived as promised. I was once again concerned when I couldn't recreate the door dysfunction. It didn't stall as it had before. He knew exactly what to do and simply walked over to the unit and recreated the problem himself. He diagnosed exactly what was wrong with the sensor system and offered two fixes, one inexpensive and temporary and one that was somewhat more costly (though still reasonable) and would provide long-lasting protection against similar issues. We chose the second. Within an hour he had totally rewired the sensor system and solved the problem. He demonstrated that the garage door now opened and closed as it should, but would stop immediately when an obstacle was placed in the door's path. He could not have been more pleasant and professional, and will be our first choice for any future garage door problems. We found him on Yelp and are glad to add our totally satisfied review to all the others that brought us to him. read more

I can't believe it. I met a honest business man. I'm 68 years old and have been around the block. I had a problem with my 300 foot fence that was bent. The fence divides my property with my neighbor. He has 20 foot trees on his side of the fence. I have shrubs. I wanted to straighten or replace my 33 year old fence. Eric came by and gave me a price. I swallowed hard and figured I had to do it. Eric pulled on the fence and then said. Your fence is bent but strong. Why don't you save the money and let the shrubs grow above the fence? No one will see the bent fence and wait till you have to fix it. Wow, a honest business man. I looked him straight in the eyes and said, why didn't I think of that? He gave me a solution that was good for me and not so good for him. He told me he also fixes garage openers and gate motors. I will be using Master Garage for life! I am unsolicited and did not have to write this. I just thought I would as I finally met an honest businessman. Eric wishing you all the best! read more
