To start, this area of Madison is not the best, so the exterior/parking lot stays scattered with trash and litter, and it is normal to be accosted by folks walking or out. This is no fault of the store itself, but just a heads up. The interior of the store has seen a revamp in the past few months with the update of the HealthHub first, followed by the front register area and now the updates are starting to hit the actual store and pharmacy, which is great. HealthHub has been hit and miss with service. Appointments are required, but have no real impact on your wait or seen time. The nurses are not exactly friendly. It is weirdly very transactional, but I guess I can understand when they see a constant flow of folks for all types of stuff. After my second visit to the HealthHub, I actually chose to get me a primary care physician as I couldn't do it another time. This location is my primary pharmacy and I will say that the pharmacy is easily 5 star for me. The pharmacists are always great, I love the messaging system for prescriptions and enjoy the ease of getting any needed vaccines. Overall, not the best CVS, but I am happy with the pharmacy.

My latest visit was after a PT appointment in search of some tape and braces for my elbow. I found what I was after tape wise, and while they had a brace, it was a bit pricier than I was willing to spend. The store, interior and exterior, could use some TLC conditionally. Inside was clean, but the parking lot needs some attention. Service is okay. I wouldn't classify it as friendly, but neither rude. Somewhere along the lines of "meh". Overall, this location is a choice out of convenience. When needed, I don't mind swinging by.

While I frequent the other pharmacy chains a bit more, I do find myself popping into the Walgreens for random needs from medicine, snacks to photos. For all the things that I have needed from this spot over the years, they always come through whether it be OTC medicines, bandages, personal items or snacks. Additionally, when ordering photos via the app, they always come out right and timely. While the above would give five star vibes, the service, cleanliness and condition of this Walgreens brings things down a bit. Over the years, I have never gotten "friendly" service at this location. While it has not been bad or rude, it is not pleasant either, and is just off-putting as a customer. This combined with the continued deterioration of the store from the inside-out. It needs some TLC from floors to signage and everything in between. This combined with a trash strewn parking lot and copious empty boxes lining the interior of the store make things less than appealing. Overall, this location is one that I use when in a pinch, or need a quick in-and-out, nothing more.

The following morning at approximately 9:20 AM he got an automated call from this pharmacy stating that his prescription was ready for pick up, I called and left a voice message requesting a pharmacy manager to call me back, which never happened. As soon as we were able, we took another Uber to this pharmacy to pick up the medication. I had also called our doctors office to verify if it was faxed in the night before or called in and who our nurse spoke to, she had told me that she had called it in the night before at approximately 6:45 and spoke with the pharmacist by the name of Cindy! This tells me that people do not want to do their job and don't care about their customer service or pain that someone may be suffering, because it was close to closing time! I am a nurse and we had extended our stay to get antibiotics going so that we don't chance a ruptured eardrum while flying, this is very very poor customer service! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHARMACY AND THE PHARMACIST NAMED CINDY NEEDS TO HAVE SOME COMPASSION FOR PATIENTS AND LEARN TO DO HER JOB APPROPRIATELY!!!! For a one-time annual payment of around $40, you can get free same-day delivery for your prescriptions, along with a monthly $10 reward and all sorts of other perks. It's a service I never knew I needed ... and now I use it regularly! If you are visiting this store in-person, be advised that the pharmacy lunch break is strictly 1:30-2 PM. I've been caught by this before - and try to avoid stopping by in the afternoon if I can help it.

It was so unexpected to hear. This drugstore had a lot of plushies. It had Disney pride plushies. There were along a bunch of Squishmallows. Everything made me happy. I went to the checkout to pay for my items. I had a man help me. He was friendly. I entered my phone number to take advantage of discounts. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. My second visit was at around 10:40 pm on my birthday. I wanted to grab a bite to eat. Nothing major. I wanted a snack of some sort. The local Taco Bell was closed. I came to this Walgreens, and it was closed, too. The reason why I was disappointed was that this drugstore is supposed to be open 24 hours a day, according to the sign outside. It shuttered at 10 pm and was scheduled to reopen at 8 am, according to another sign. Bummer. It's a good drugstore. Your experience…read morehonestly differs based on the time and day you pop in, so consistency here with service, stock and cleanliness is the main issue with this location. I have learned in the past few years that early weekend mornings are always the best here. From number of registers, friendliness of Associates, shelves stocked, better choices of meats, etc...So, you will rarely find me here anytime other than 9a - 10a on a Saturday or Sunday. I will say that outside of that time, this location is absolutely chaotic with unfriendly/unhelpful staff, few registers open which creates massive lines, even at self check, along with a cart riddled parking lot. So, schedule your visits with care. As with many other retail spots, a lot of items have now been placed behind locked doors, requiring assistance to get open. While the cosmetics and electronic departments are usually staffed well for this, if you ever need undies or undershirts in the men's area, good luck. Overall, this Walmart comes in clutch when needed. I have learned how to maneuver this location to ensure a solid experience each time. It is a solid 2.5 stars.
