Restaurant was busy, as expected for a small town located on a main road. Was seated promptly, and received our ice waters and ordered queso. Not sure what the rave is but it wasn't good. We ended up adding salsa to it which made it much better. Waitress took our order and once we got our food- never seen her again. Food was bland. Chili rellano is mostly egg batter which I wasn't a fan. Chicken in the enchilada suiza was dry and flavorless. Didn't receive our ticket to pay and after waiting 15 minutes went up to the counter and paid after it took her a bit to figure out where our ticket was. Sorry waitress I did leave you a small tip but not what I would have had you at least checked in on us and filled our water glasses. Not sure exactly what happened with this place. We went in there I got a fried burrito the menu listed that at $17.99. I added the green chili which is $3 should be $21 give or take. We got the bill. My burrito was $22.43. Waiter tried to explain that the extra was 2% for paying with a card, but I'm thinking that math don't math... Anyway watch your check and make sure they aren't charging you a premium. My friend got the same thing $22.43 but charged an additional $3.00 for the green chili. The waiter Eduardo was not attentive and missed the opportunity to sell our party several more rounds of drinks, but just grabbed our plates when we were done and never asked about our food or if we would like more water or drinks. Bottom line: I enjoyed the food, but the service was less than poor and everyone felt screwed over by the pricing. Would I go back? maybe but that's mostly cause there's not much competition in the area. read more

You'll experience that freshness in your first state of their salsa. Delicioso! They do a lot of Margaritas here and they are delicious, even if a little orange-forward. Skip the Gran Gala float and opt for double tequila instead. Being one of a few restaurants in a small mountain town, it will get busy and service can be slow, but still attentive. For the win: Start with their delicious chips and salsa. Then the beef fajitas. Wash it down with either a top shelf margarita or a dressed Pacifico. The parking lot was super busy, and the food smelled excellent. We came from out of town and it's my wife's cousins favorite spot. They come at least once a week. The service was prompt, friendly and the salsa was A+. Margaritas were average, but that's fine. However. The rice and beans were the least flavorful I've ever had. My wife said "I couldn't put enough salt on them". I should have doused mine in their delicious salsa. My wife liked her enchilada (which is what her cousin always orders) and said her tamale was the best she ever had. I got camarones a la Diablo, and they were terrible. The sauce tasted like a mix of ketchup, marinara, butter, cumin. I got hot and there was very little spice. There were maybe 7 single shreds of onions. Almost no veggies. While I was very dissapointed in my meal, I feel bad giving a 2 star review and would suggest going and would definitely return again. read more

Then I asked for a simple special from my home town restaurant... simply fajita chicken, rice, and queso and literally the waiter acted like I asked for something that was un-imaginal. I got something (number 21) that was nothing like I asked for. Instead of an easy order I received throw up with boiled chicken on a plate. No one at my table received a meal without something incorrectly cooked or seasoned. Was there over an hour before we received food. A table that came in about 20 minutes after we order received what should have been our order of Steak Fajitas for 2. There was a table of 10 and several other tables that ordered after us but before the table that received our order. When we asked for our waitress to make it known that the table that came in and order 20 minutes after us had recieved their food and we was still waiting, she stated that they had received what should of been our food. Sorry, sorry is what was said. Then the owner came over and apologized but nothing was done to have our food served expedited. We was getting ready to leave when they brought the food to our table. There literally was no flavor. Tasted like grease and the rice and beans had no flavor. Then to top it off we asked the waitress for the check she said be right back. For 10 minutes we sat waiting, she kept going to other tables. We then asked the busser to about the check. The owner was walking by I asked him about it, stating we had been waiting for over 10 minutes for the check. After waiting for our food for over an hour. The waitress then came and asked what drinks we had, which was water. There was no compensation for the wait and frustration until I said something about the unprofessionalism and that it is ridiculous that we had to wait so long. The owner then and only then charged half the bill. I understand mistakes happen but don't punish the customer. Also there are mistakes then there is neglect. We was neglected. This place has a beautiful view from outside. Clean inside and a lot of sitting area. They have both booths and tables. Chips and salsa are pretty good. Chips are medium thickness. First night here, service was great. She was very attentive, fast service and nice. Second time here the gentleman serving us had terrible service, literally arguing. This is a wonderful Tex-Mex restaurant in South Fork. We are from Texas, and are used to outstanding Mexican food. In our city we have literally hundreds of great places. But we are always pleasantly surprised when we come to Colorado and are able to eat at Ramone's, a place that is equal to the best of Texas Tex-Mex. We visited Ramon's for a late lunch on a Tuesday, and the parking lot was pretty full. Once inside, our party of six was promptly seated and Eduardo took our drink orders. He returned quickly with our drinks and took our food orders. When the food came, we were impressed by the clean and colorful presentation of the dishes. I found the relleno delicious, while my chicken enchilada was pretty good. The chicken could have been more flavorful and moist, but it was still tasty and satisfying. The other members of our party also generally enjoyed their dishes. The tamale was also good, with the corn flavor going well with the pork filling. The carnitas was tasty and went well with the tostada. The shredded beef in the burrito was tasty and plentiful. On top of the good food, service was excellent. Eduardo was efficient and quick, while all the members of their wait staff pitched in with friendly smiles and attentiveness. Overall, we were glad that we weren't able to find a table in Creede, and I would recommend making the drive down to Ramon's for some good food with top notch service. read more

There are not a lot of places to eat in the is town, after 8p, but Ramons was wonderful to us. We wondered into town at 8:30p and with only two choices of open establishments, we chose well. Ramons was good & plentiful food, good prices and we had a very nice hostess. "No rush" she explained as she set our food down when she should be closing out her tabs. Being in South Fork all summer means getting to eat at Ramons several times. Really good consistent food and service. My wife always rags on me for getting the same meals at restaurants. I did get the Ranchero enchiladas most of the time because so delicious with sour cream and guacamole on top. The wife, who always tries new dishes, got the Carnitas plate EVERY time. She said they are the best she has ever had. And we live in the TX hill country near San Antonio. The house margaritas are also good. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with in Colorado. Or anywhere for that matter. Been working two years on the road and have never experienced anything remotely this horrible. After spending a while trying to call in a take out order and no one picking up the phone I decided to just walk across the street from my hotel to order in person. I could see a bunch of cars in the parking lot so I knew it was busy. I get it. I walk in and wait by the front register for a good five minutes when finally a waiter walks up. He does not even acknowledge me. He spends the next five minutes punching numbers into a calculator beside the register while I wait patiently. Not even the usual "Sorry sir, I'll be with you in a minute." Not even eye contact. He finally finishes what he's doing and by that time a couple has come out of the restaurant to pay their bill. He acknowledges THEM of course. I kindly tell him I've been waiting for 10 minutes. This is the first time he even says anything to me. "Sorry sir. You're going to have to step aside while they pay their bill." Ok. I'm a little irritated but I comply. They pay their bill and in the meantime a party of six steps in line to pay their bill. I patiently wait for another 5 minutes. While they're paying their bill the line grows longer and longer. At this point I step back in line to try and order. I've been waiting 20 minutes just to order take out. This dip shit tells me I'm just gonna have to wait until everyone else is taken care of. When I was the only one in the lobby at first and this line of people paying their bills keeps growing. I tell him I've looked at the menu and I know exactly what I want. It will literally take him FIVE seconds to write it down. But he wants me to wait for god knows how long while the line keeps growing. I express my frustration and this little prig has the gall to ask me "Will you be kind sir?" Like wtf. I wish I had gotten his name but this guy obviously can't handle the most menial of jobs and should be fired. I ended up having to drive an hour round trip to get food from the nearest open restaurant because of this douche bag. Whoever you are "sir" please do the planet a favor and don't ever procreate.
