Restaurant was busy, as expected for a small town located on a main road. Was seated promptly, and received our ice waters and ordered queso. Not sure what the rave is but it wasn't good. We ended up adding salsa to it which made it much better. Waitress took our order and once we got our food- never seen her again. Food was bland. Chili rellano is mostly egg batter which I wasn't a fan. Chicken in the enchilada suiza was dry and flavorless. Didn't receive our ticket to pay and after waiting 15 minutes went up to the counter and paid after it took her a bit to figure out where our ticket was. Sorry waitress I did leave you a small tip but not what I would have had you at least checked in on us and filled our water glasses. If you try it our hope you have a better experience than us.

The food is GREAT!! This is my favorite Mexican restaurant anywhere. Every summer & fall I can't wait to come here.

The food was great! I had the huevos rancheros with rancheros sauce. Really good, no complaints. I scraped my plate. My sone had the chicken quesadilla. He liked that it was no frills. Just the quesadilla. The chips and salsa were good, and our drinks were full the entire time. Great stop before heading out to explore the mountains in the area.

I had a chicken tostada, we also had a burrito, chicken tacos and a quesadilla. Chips and salsa were fairly good. The shredded chicken was great. I would say the tostada was the best of all we tried. Staff is super friendly, very clean restaurant and bathroom. It was a good stop on our drive through the town.

After a long day on the road I was ready for a delicious dinner and Ramon's did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautifully placed at the bottom of a rockfall and the interior is warm, inviting, and pure Colorado. The menu includes expected Mexican comfort food with a focus on freshness. You'll experience that freshness in your first state of their salsa. Delicioso! They do a lot of Margaritas here and they are delicious, even if a little orange-forward. Skip the Gran Gala float and opt for double tequila instead. Being one of a few restaurants in a small mountain town, it will get busy and service can be slow, but still attentive. For the win: Start with their delicious chips and salsa. Then the beef fajitas. Wash it down with either a top shelf margarita or a dressed Pacifico. Finish it all off with Fried Ice Cream.

Food is good especially for south fork. Green chili is unique and I order bowls of it to eat. Happy hour 2-5 and get decent $6 Margs. Typical Mexican style interior with a decent amount of booths.

Super glad my friends and I did a road trip this weekend because we got a chance to find this gem of a restaurant! The food was fantastic and the prices hard to beat! $6 Happy Hour margaritas? Yes, please! Plus the service was super fast and friendly. Definitely got that small town vibe going on!

Half of my Verde burrito. Too much for me to eat at one sitting!

Wonderful food and service! The burrito Verde was WOW! Partner had enchilada suiza, again Wonderful! It was a great find in South Fork Colorado. Highly recommend you try this Mexican restaurant!

Camerones a La diabla. Terrible sauce and no veggies. Rice and beans sucked. But the salsa was A+

The parking lot was super busy, and the food smelled excellent. We came from out of town and it's my wife's cousins favorite spot. They come at least once a week. The service was prompt, friendly and the salsa was A+. Margaritas were average, but that's fine. However. The rice and beans were the least flavorful I've ever had. My wife said "I couldn't put enough salt on them". I should have doused mine in their delicious salsa. My wife liked her enchilada (which is what her cousin always orders) and said her tamale was the best she ever had. I got camarones a la Diablo, and they were terrible. The sauce tasted like a mix of ketchup, marinara, butter, cumin. I got hot and there was very little spice. There were maybe 7 single shreds of onions. Almost no veggies. While I was very dissapointed in my meal, I feel bad giving a 2 star review and would suggest going and would definitely return again.

Chili Verde, yum! Delicious!

over priced, unorganized, and the food was mediocre at best. and that's not a blown out of proportion exaggeration.

My friends and I stopped by for dinner. We did a quick internet research on good dining spots…read morenearby and this popped up. We decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit here. You do hear Spanish convos in the back kitchen. This restaurant seems really authentic. The servers were young and able to answer any questions you had about the menu. The food came out in a timely manner. They were good about checking in on us. I personally got to try the AL PASTOR QUESADILLAS. The pork was well marinated. There were 4 pieces with a side of rice, guac & beans. The meal was well balanced. The food itself is delicious here! I also got to try the CHAMANGO. It had every ingredient that it was supposed to have - tajin & chamoy sauce inside with a chunky straw coated with tamarind. This drink has a slightly salty/spicy, tangy & sweet taste all in one. It's more expensive than other drink options here, but it's big in size & well assembled. Overall, this is a solid Mexican spot that you won't be disappointed to try. I believe that everything you order here will be good based on what I tried.

After a full day exploring the vast San Luis Valley, the largest high mountain valley in the world,…read morewe were ready for a good meal. I ordered the taco plate, which was satisfying and, surprisingly, priced like it was still pre-pandemic. In today's world, that alone earns goodwill. A few things could elevate the experience. The main dining area would benefit from better ventilation. Also, the salsa bar clearly meant to be a showcase feature, needs more attention during the day. A quick refresh here and there would go a long way toward presentation and food safety. Things like dried salsa around container rims, a stray floating ramekin lid, and limes that looked like they'd been slowly dehydrating made it feel neglected. Finally, table service should include checking back on drinks. A quick pass to refill or ask if anything's needed would make the service more complete. It was a four-star experience but somewhere I'd consider returning given fairly limited options in Monte Vista. With more attention to detail it could be in competition for a five star rating.

All four of us did the buffet. There is a good variety of options there, from starters, entres, and…read moredesserts (actually, tons of desserts). However, the labeling is atrocious and it's often hard to tell what each item is (like, the churros were labeled as tacos). I think they are just always shifting things around, so they must have trouble keeping up with things. I wish they had a bit more variety of vegetables for the buffet that aren't part of a final dish (like in an enchilada). It's mostly just meats there. A few of the things seem a bit suspect, too. The smaller make-your-own tacos have sad looking ground beef and "queso." But I guess that's to be expected at the "American style" taco part of the buffet. I see that some reviews have mentioned there being grilled veggies, but that was not around on the day we were there. I'm not sure if that's a part of the menu you can order from, or if there's just that much variety in what they offer day-to-day. What's not to be missed, though, and it very good, are the fresh tortillas and made-to-order street tacos. Very yummy. I could just eat the tortillas all day. Best of all, everyone there is very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. If the labeling were a bit better and some more vegetables (beyond salad), I think it would be 5 stars. As is, I'd give it 4.5.
