    Korean BBQ and Lambo Tacos
    Jacqueline T.

A friend recommended this spot to me and I'm so glad she did. This was my favorite spot we ate at while visiting the San Juan Mountains. My husband and I shared: - Drippy Mitch - Pork Belly - Lambo - Korean BBQ All of the tacos were fantastic. The menu was awesome and it was hard deciding what to order. You really can't go wrong. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

We loved the sketchy tots. the cheese and meat had delicious flavor, that was probably our favorite thing. The tacos are very good sized, bigger than a normal street taco. They definitely have some unique flavors and it is my first time having carrot crisps on a taco, but that is what made it fun. will return

Great tacos, great customer service! We had the mushroom tacos, an elk taco, and the buffalo chicken taco (my favorite). Paired perfectly with a Carrot Saison!

Amazing tacos! - Three tacos with different fillings and toppings, including vegetables, sauces, and seeds, served on a paper-lined tray.

Casual spot with extremely friendly service, delicious tacos and solid margaritas. Everything we ordered was delicious and when we came back later to get some vegan ice cream, they even returned my sister's cell phone which she left behind when we left Thanks guys!!!

Tots and veggie tacos - A tray holds three tacos with various toppings and fried chicken bites topped with sauce and vegetables, served with a yellow toy car on the table.

This joint is universally loved by everyone I've talked to who had ever passed through Ridgway. They have some really exciting flavor combos and a big variety in their tacos. They even have three separate and vastly different veggie taco options. My wife loved the portobello taco and the avocado tempura taco. My son was likewise very happy with his chicken and bean taco and tots with cheese sauce. The pork belly taco, recommended to my by several people, unfortunately did not live up to the hype. Maybe it was an off night but I thought the meat was just a little tough/dry. The fish taco was pretty good! The decor felt very Colorado-hip, with lots of snowboarding stickers plastered all over the place, and skateboarding videos playing on the TV. I'd wanted to give them a second try and maybe get the Korean pork taco and the Nashville chicken taco but alas they were closed on Sunday. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in Ridgway.

Drippy Mitch and Hooker tacos - Three tacos with different fillings, including corn, shredded cabbage, and meat, served on a paper-lined tray.

Best tacos I have ever had! Very creative toppings and so delicious!!!! Drippy Mitch was my favorite!

two tacos in a paper bag - Two tacos with grilled meat, cherry tomatoes, diced onions, and microgreens, served in a paper-lined container, featuring sauces and garnishes.

We are alway looking for unique places & good food while traveling. This places was perfect. Great atmosphere sitting inside or outside. Chips & homemade salsa was perfect while we waited. So many choices on tacos & they allow you to mix & match. I was even able to have an elk one. Wife loved her shrimp & beef ones. Staff were great in helping me choose a beer that I loved. Restaurant was clean, elevated table & stools allowed us to watch the going's on outside, sitting area was roomy, & building was very unique. Street parking doesn't allow for large RV's, but there is a park right down the street. Prices were decent for quality/quantity provided. You will not disappointed with this great place. See photos

Food is great. Original flavors. Drinks are amazing, specially the house Margaritas. Service is friendly and super fast. Veggie options available.

Gnarly salad - A metal bowl holds a salad with seared tuna slices drizzled with sauce, chopped vegetables, and pickled ginger, served in a restaurant setting.

The steak and pork belly tacos were both excellent. The buffalo chick taco was pretty disappointing and just tasted like cold, dried out chicken with some buffalo sauce on top. We were craving some greens/veggies and also got the gnarly salad with ahi tuna. The salad itself was fine and had good flavor, but the tuna was really tough/chewy/fishy, so we chose not to eat it. We came by on a Saturday evening close to closing, and so it seemed like we may have gotten the remnants of the week's tuna (GNAR is closed Sunday-Monday). We'd stick with tacos if we ever make it back to GNAR! Prices are not cheap, but the portions are also way bigger than we had expected. Three tacos and the salad (huge!) were enough to fill up two hungry adults who would usually plan to eat ~4 tacos each.

Yardcore and Korean bbq - Two tacos with different toppings are on a red table, with a drink and a wallet nearby. The tacos are in paper wrappers.

Ask the Community - Taco Del Gnar

No gluten free options? I loved eating the last 3 yrs here but found out last May that I have Celiac.

Corn tortillas can be added to every dish. Salads are a great option as well. Depending on your sensitivity level we recommened that you speak with our chef. Some folks are okay having their tempura - corn chips - and carrots fried in the same oil… Read more

Pour on a little salsa and boom! So here's what went down...I was throwing a bday bash at my house and wanted a taco truck/trailer that catered. Spotted El Agave Azul's food trailer in Montrose, so tried them out and it was a done deal! Since their flagship restaurant was in Ridgway, we decided to drive out and grab some lunch so we could personally meet the owners. Again the food was super good, flavorful and delish...not to mention the fresh and yummy margs! The owners, Jose and Lucia were an absolute pleasure to meet and work with for our party. They arrived early to set-up, were very professional, meticulous and took great care of our guests. We ordered street tacos (naturally the carne asada as well as grilled chicken), rice, refried beans, chips & salsa, and quesidillas. Everyone ranted and raved about the food and loved every bit of it...in fact there were very little leftovers which is always a good sign! ;-) I cannot say enough about El Agave Azul. Their food and catering services are top notch! Highly recommend for your next party or just head on over to their restaurant, and be sure to say "hi" to Jose and Lucia!

The Burrito and Carne Asada tacos were very good! The food is served on hot plates which is great, yet the food itself was only warm. Not hot.
