First the good. The servers and bartenders are very nice and welcoming. The beers are served nice and cold. Rest of about everything else goes downhill from there. We ordered nachos with brisket for $19. As you can see from my photo, they came on a paper plate. The nachos were the round types that you get at Walmart for $1.99. The brisket was dry and tasteless and very hard to find below the nachos. For $19 you expect a loaded big plate of nachos piled high with every kind of topping. Sour cream was $1 extra. Guacamole was $3 extra. I was a pretty dissatisfied by the taste, quantity, and presentation for something I paid $19 for. This place has a complete dive bar feel to it which I'm okay with. But dive bar vibe always should match dive bar prices. $19 is extremely high for the small quantity and cheap mediocre nachos that taste like your college roommate made in a hurry in his microwave. These nachos should be max $10. read more

Terrible, just terrible. I ordered a turkey sandwich, that was swimming in mayo, dripping all over the place, with a side of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was Kraft and it was TOTALLY watered down. What an insult! That should have been on a kids menu, not an adult menu with high prices. Everything comes on a paper plate with plastic silverware. We were there on Sept. 22 at dinnertime. The bartender has no filter, and says things degrading women, right out in the open for women to hear. Very unprofessional. I know it's a bar, but that is as low class as they come. read more

Drunk dude waiter who welcomed us upon entry was an odd touch and somewhat off putting. We went to the rooftop to sit and nobody came up to serve us so after waiting a bit we came back down and immediately got served. The waitress who ended up helping us was kind and helpful. Ribs were great but the brisket sandwich was tough to eat. Cole slaw was just ok. This could be a great place with a little more attention to detail. read more

We showed up with a large group and they repeatedly warned us that they were "short staffed" and asked us to be patient. E we would have never known! The drink orders came right away, the food order arrived in a reasonable time, they asked if we needed refills! It was perfect! We can on a Tuesday and had the ribs. They were terrific! We visited with a large group, no one batted an eye, they accommodated us with no issue. The server was awesome, she can't get enough stars. Despite being (as far as I could tell) the only server, she anticipated needs and got orders quickly. The food from the kitchen, however, is a different story. My pork sandwich was dry, stringy and tasteless. Yes, I know it's bar food, but still. I'd come here for drinks again, but will eat elsewhere first. read more

Had the sliders and they were ok. If a bit light on meat. Also had the "all the meat" sandwich, decent flavor, but also a bit light on the meat. It's $20 for lunch per person -without much in the way of sides. Rated low because of quantity to price. Don't mind paying if we get a value for the money, but didn't feel it here. read more

This is a small, quiet restaurant/pub obviously frequented by locals, but it was just what we were looking for in Creede that particular day. The servers were quite attentive. Not to the point of being irritating, but to the point of us knowing it would not be difficult to get their attention. (A plus in my book.) The food was simple, but tasty. Waiter was extremely drunk around noon in the middle of the week. Probably the most embarrassing, rude server I've ever seen. Couldn't hold it together to serve 3 tables. Wings were undercooked and covered in oil that made the sad chips inedible since they were covered in greasy, gross undercooked chicken oil. Wouldn't come back here if it was the only restaurant in a 100 mile radius. Went to kips down the street immediately after and the service and food quality was night and day. The food was just ehhh...I had the Okey pulled pork sliders. The pork was good, just not very flavorful. The Hawaiian rolls were baked too long and were dark brown and crunchy. The male server was a little abrasive and rude. Did not even offer ice in drinks. The female server was amazing and friendly. She brought us cups of ice for our drinks without us even asking and was cheerful. The ambiance is a tavern like ambiance, so laid back and enjoyable. read more

Wow, what a waste of time. The service staff is very friendly and helpful, however the food is a complete waste. Can tell the food is several days old, not seasoned properly and overall disappointing. Further the drink machine must have some filter issue, as all drinks no matter water, or soda have a funny taste. The wings also appear to have come from a rubber chicken. Stopped in here after our day trip to Creede. After hitting the completely ice skating rink we decided to stop in here for some lunch! Once you manage to make it up the huge front step it was okay, we found the handicapped entrance later. I was disappointed that most of their tables are tall and we had to spit up our party because there weren't enough short chairs for all of us to sit together. our server was top drawer. Wonderful smile and wonderful responsiveness. Sadly, the green chili cheeseburger recipe is nowhere near as good as it was two years ago. At that time it was cheesy and had strips of mildly warm green chilies on top. With some green chili sauce. This last visit it just had some kind of green chili gravy on top and was not satisfying. If it weren't for our server I would give this place one star. The guitar player and fiddle player in the corner were very good. Enjoyed their music. But we couldn't sit outside as their amps were way too loud. In fact, we had a hard time visiting with our friends at the table inside. Perhaps we should have sat in the bar. read more

I planned a road trip for my friends visiting Colorado. I squeezed Creed into our adventure because of it's rich history and peculiarities. Everything was amazeballs until we came to this establishment. The food was on point, everyone was welcoming and friendly with the exception of the bar tender lady. We felt uncomfortable when she singled out one of us calling her "the cool one" followed by preferred treatment. This put the rest of us down because we were looking for an experience. We felt immensely rejected and belittled. We tried to ignored it as the other workfellows were kind but she made it evident we were unappealing. I walked out of that place depleted. read more

We're on a "no destination" retirement RV trip for my husband and stumbled upon this little gem! What a neat place. You can tell, even during the off season, this is the place to be. It was packed, people were friendly, the one waiter was working his tail off and doing a great job. I got the Okie Pokey (fitting for this Okie to get) and it was fantastic. The Banker, brisket nachos, and the (I think it's called) Tommyknocker club was ordered by the rest of the party, and there were no complaints. Would love to see this place in the middle of summer. read more

Best bar in Creede. You must like a good pour and a great shot at this place. Awesome bartenders especially the guy with the ponytail.

This is a quaint, rustic bar and bistro. The seating is more than meets the eye. Upon entering you see limited indoor tables but there is patio and upstairs seating to accommodate. We were a group of 11 and split to two tables. Most ordered hot sandwiches and two ordered 1/4 slab ribs. None were disappointed. The bread was fresh and portions generous. The service was friendly and attentive. Pricing was reasonable. read more
