We had the same tree guy for years and he moved. Finding a new one who we trusted was a task. We interviewed 4 or so... when Jose came over I knew he was trustworthy. Scheduled for the next business day. Our trees were neglected to say the least. They trimmed 2 king palms, 1 other and cut one down. They worked so hard! Also, this past year, one became heavily infested with spider mites and it was starting to spread to the other tree. Moreover, it was harrowing to watch them sway back and forth in high wind events. Reluctantly, after procrastinating for months, I came to the conclusion that it would be best to remove them asap before we get any more compromising weather this fall/winter and there was an actual retaining wall breach. I called Santos and he came out the next day & as he gave me a fair price for the work, we scheduled the task for the following week. His tree cutter was careful not to compromise my internet wires that were attached to the telephone pole and when grinding the stump his crew took extra care to avoid my irrigation pipes and landscaping wire. In addition to the tree clean up, they took away some other plant debris I had accumulated getting the area ready for the tree cutting and even cut some tree branches breaching my fence line from my neighbors house which was much appreciated. Although I am always reluctant to fell trees, Santos and his crew did an outstanding job and provided excellent customer service! I am going to have them come back out in the late fall to trim down and hedge back my bank of 6 podocarpus trees.

By the end of the day not only was the bamboo gone and the root ball removed by stump grinding but he had thinned out my birds of paradise and removed a tree and roots that were dangerously close to the house. They did an amazing job cleaning up as well. Note SD tree service's estimate was the best of a total of 5 estimates I received and Ray was the first to come and give a quote.
