This location does have a vegan option for those who are looking. While the taste was exceptional, the limited space in the restaurant did lead to a bit of a wait before getting seated. However, they convieniently have a sister location just across the street which allows you to compare wait times between the two spots and choose the one that could accommodate you first.

So no taking home leftovers but you can do frozen ramen take out where they also have instructions on how to make it. We had the tantanmen ramen with extra charsiu and egg and it was phenomenal. No wonder they don't have you take it home. We also ordered gyoza which was a little too oily for me and also their Japanese fried rice and chicken karaage now the chicken was great but the rice was passable at best. The rice tasted like they old rice which would be perfect for your usual fried rice as that's what I use but this was too brittle. I paired the chicken with an Asahi beer which hit the spot perfectly. All in all I would say reserve seats first so you don't have to wait long. They make you order and pay ahead of time before eating which is worth noting. Oh and there don't have a lot of seating capability.

Air con was fairly strong and the couch seats we took were very wide and roomy. The afternoon sun was relaxing throughout our stay! FOOD Gyoza was typically delicious especially with tiny dunks into soy sauce; a very safe choice for an appetizer. Both Shoyu and Shio Ramen were excellent! Flavor of the broth already wanted me to eat some more. Although both were expected to be salty, Shoyu was tastier and more interesting in my opinion. Noodles can be soft or firm. Since I always get them firm wherever I go, I was surprised that the texture reminded me of canton-type noodles, but I say this in a good way because I've never had ramen like this before; totally worked out well. I'll give a special mention for the Shirataki Noodles, a Php60 upgrade. It had a gelatinous texture that reminded me of sotanghon, but thicker. This noodle is known to be very low in carbs and calories, so I therefore conclude that I love normal noodles more! I had fun trying it out anyway. And, yeah, the free cold tea was actually good! SERVICE Our server did an excellent job explaining the Zomato Gold mechanics with her visual aid that looked like a menu. We ordered three dishes and got worried that the free dish might be the cheaper dish, making us feel like we should have used two memberships instead (to get two freebies for two orders). Turns out the other ramen was free. Friendly reminder to fellow foodies: If you are claiming Zomato Gold perks, always make the effort to present your code BEFORE ordering. And know the rules.

The place has seen better days, though, with the interior looking rather tired and worn. It can feel pretty cramped inside, so if you're a large group try to get the private room. Gets pretty hot when you slurp down a piping bowl of noodle soup. Other than that, the staff is, surprisingly, efficient. I've observe their kitchen staff means business- prepped for dinner service and all our orders were out in a couple of minutes. The food though is average yet fairly priced. My pick was the kuro ramen and Rich got the aka ramen. My guess is their aka ramen has a bit of shrimp in it. Their bowls pale in comparison to other ramen-ya when you break it down per criteria: soup base- mild, noodles-al dente but not too springy, chashu- chewy. Takeaway: Ramen Kuroda is known for their set meals- bentos or ramen with side dishes that range from 300-500. Good place to get a bang for your buck or a nice family dinner, as they have other dishes good for sharing.

The design is reminiscent of similar places in Japan, with no tables and only a single stretch of stove-side countertop for dining. Since seating is quite limited, dawdling over your meal isn't the most polite thing, especially when you see people waiting outside. The owner of Mensakaba Geishu is Japanese, so expect a high level of authenticity in the dishes. The Tantanmen tastes more like ground beef than the usual Manila offering, though, so consider yourself forewarned. Still, the dishes are delicious and the selection is pretty much on par for a ramen joint. The restaurant is air-conditioned, as befitting a ramen joint. Parking is generally sufficient if you come at night, when most neighboring stores are closed. During the day, you may end up parking on the road, but this is a pretty safe action.

It's popularity with the nearby residents has grown exponentially since it open a little over a year ago. It's a small ramen shop that seats only twelve individuals, a ramen bar if you want to call it, and people really wait in line outside the store to get a bowl of delicious ramen prepared by the Japanese chef - former manager of a golf club who spent his retirement to make his dream come true: to own a ramen shop. My personal favourite is the Abura soba or 'oil-noodles', a concoction of ramen noodles, spicy sauce, topped with chashu. Out of all ramen joints I've tried, this was is pretty cheap but gives you the same comfort other well know ramen joints provide. So if you happen to be in South especially in Aguirre, drop by! You'll love their tantamein too! Not too oily but well executed.

We opted to sit inside... The service was excellent. From the time you enter the place, you are greeted with smiling faces. And the staff are always more than happy to help you out with the orders and explaining the menu items. The food arrives quite promptly. It took around 15 minutes to get our orders, a very reasonable time to prepare ramen. But the ramen was on the very salty side! The size of the servings were good. The contents were as expected of a ramen. But the soup base was indeed on the salty side. A family member also confirmed my thoughts on the soup base being salty. No matter how good the ingredients, a salty soup base just doesn't cut it. Maybe I'll come back again next time I'm in Manila just to see if the saltiness was a one off deal or part of a standard recipe overdone with the salt measure...

The food was surprisingly good! Tonkotsu is known to be a little fatty on the Broth but there were vinegar, chili oil, and soy sauce to match your taste buds. I had the Yuzu (I usually order this back home) and I liked it. Very citrusy and peppery! My cousins had the Tonkotsu and they enjoyed it too! If it wasn't hott I would see myself coming here often.

This is where I was treated to dinner. A great choice it was indeed. I immediately liked the area this was at. Parking was a bit of a hassle so we got dropped off while my cousin looked for a spot. We ordered entirely way too much food. So much that we had to take half of it to go. The food was great. I ended up only eating half of my sushi plate after I went to town on all the fried goods. Where they got me is with their mango shake. I spent the next 15 days having a mango shake at literally every establishment I ate at and let me tell you something, of the nearly 10 I had, the one here was by far the best.

Their menu is like a book binder with different types of Japanese food to choose from. From donburis, ramens, tempura to rolls and sashimis -- their menu covers a lot more than other typical Japanese restos in Metro Manila and they do everything so well. My faves would be their spicy salmon or tuna sashimi, uni sashimi and their lunch specials. The lunch specials are so worth it (check out the back pages of the menu). Our family has tried a lot of items in their menu and most if not all have been delicious and satisfying. They've recently expanded to a bigger space to accommodate a new teppanyaki area and more tables. Miyazaki is always full but worth the wait. Parking in Molito is difficult though so keep that in mind. Highly recommend Miyazaki when you're craving for Japanese in the South and in Metro Manila.
