    Beef udon noodle

We ordered the spicy tuna roll, beef udon noodles, shrimp tempura and salmon taco. The spicy tuna roll was just overwhelming with the amount of extra crunch it had on it. It is of my opinion adding so much crunch indicates the tuna quality isn't all that great, since if it were then highlight the fish, don't mask it. The beef udon were slightly salty, but cooked perfectly. The shrimp tempura was the highlight, the breading wasn't too thick and paired with a good vinegar based sauce. The salmon taco was meh, no flavor.

The service was great. Smart and pleasant personnel were ready to assist and take orders. The ambiance was regular but the food offerings is where this restaurant excels. It is not your regular or ordinary traditional Japanese food. It is that and more! It serves a Japanese fusion cuisine that makes the food come with a slight twist manifested in additional ingredients or way of serving. It is worth to try for the unique gastronomic experience that is out of this world.

I like the vibe and the energy of this place, friendly and attentive staffs. It's more sushi with different mix and blend of mayo, just tiny portion of fish and a lot of rice in a roll. Taste is ok. Not bad. I think it's created for the Filipino palate. Busy place so make sure to be here early. Queue usually forms on weekends and holidays.

Cute little japanese restaurant. The food is good quality and very creative. The presentation is amazing. We came on a Monday and it was crowded, so it seems to be a popular spot. The food tasted really good, and I would likely recommend it to a friend however I can't say it's a restaurant I feel I need to visit every time I'm in the area (i'm not from the philippines). Definitely a must-try, though. One of the better restaurants I've tried. We got the aburi mixer & the unagi don.

I've landed 3 weeks ago in the Philippines and I've just visited Ooma again for the 6th time tonight and I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I would always come with my family or friends and I'll be ordering the same usual "Katsudon" with side sushi/gyoza/udon orders. Tonight, we ordered Tori Karaage, Ebi Tempura, Oyudon, Oyakudon, Katsudon and Buta Kakuni Udon for 5 people. First thing I realized was that the prices went up approximately by 20% with a newly designed menu. When the food arrived, I was excited as I thought I got to taste the same flavours that I enjoyed last time but: 1. Tori Karaage was in smaller portion and it was a bit too salty. 2. Gyūdon's beef became thinner; too salty and sweet. 3. Katsudon's pork was too DRY. Extremely dry, in fact, I finished a few glasses of water to rehydrate myself. Also, there was a hint of sourness from the pork that wasn't there on my previous visits. 4. Oyakodon was average. Although, there was also the same hint of sourness in the chicken, similar to what the pork had from Katsudon. 5. Ebi Tempura; it was our first time ordering it, just wanted to comment on the batter as it was TOO THICK and was soaking in oil. Japanese tempura is supposed to be light and fluffy, but this ain't it. Overall, no problem with the service, although we had to stand up to take menus and remind a few times regarding our food but I understand as it was peak hours. In the end, their superior explained to us regarding the adjustment in prices and recipes as it wasn't only effective in their outlet, but as a whole, after we gave our feedback. She also explained that we weren't the first customers to voice out and mentioned that even the staffs had the same comment as us regarding the food. She kindly took my name and contact and I hope that I receive a message from them regarding our experience. I didn't get to take photos as it wasn't an enjoyable moment but here's the receipt and a photo of the Oyakodon. We've also purchased their Moment Card as we visit their restaurant quite often and other partners eateries, but I am now having second thoughts on dining at Ooma again. I hope that Ooma Management fixes this as soon as possible.

I wanted to try this place since it opened in BGC. Dropped by THREE times and they were always closed due to kitchen maintenance with no estimated time they can function. Really? Did try to takeout rolls as well another time I had a Japanese craving-- failed again. No take out rule. I guess that's acceptable but it added a bit of my frustration! So anyway, one eventful day... got there by 11:30 before the lunch crowd piled up. Ordered the salmon skin aburi (tiny) and soft shell crab maki (huge!!). Both had good crunch, not your usual panko chunks to add texture- different spin on sushi but either weren't a stand out. I'm not fond to pair my maki with soy sauce but tried theirs and doesn't seem to taste like your ordinary kikkoman, pretty tasty on its own. Would revisit to try the uni donburi which looked good.

Great and Delicious Japanese food. Definitely a new yummy twist on the traditional makis and donburis. Better come early since the line can be long at times. Service is also good. Price is reasonable.

Very unique sushi eating experience. Coming from the states I'm very accustomed to the AYCE sushi style. But my cousins and I enjoyed this fusion style restaurant so much! The servers were very well knowledgeable on the menu and were very helpful in recommending items for us. BGC is a very condensed area and we were there during summer so beware the long wait times! I wouldn't want to take groups here very often as group eating tends to take longer. Also a little crowded on the main dining floor so it tends to get extra loud. Sake definitely helped us to forget about that during our dining experience. All in all a great place for a dinner catch up!

I was famished when I visited so I ordered their Aburi Mixer, Hanger Steak, and Beef Udon for food and an iced tea for my refresher.

Ooma is a well known Japanese restaurant that offers fusion dishes that fits the Filipino palate. They have three locations in Manila but we decided to dine at their SM Megamall branch. We were told to expect long lines at all Ooma locations but we got lucky to be seated right away. The hostess greeted us right promptly and the entire staff were all friendly, fast, and efficient. We were very pleased with excellent customer service provided. The food? OOMAGOD! I loved every single dish we ordered. From sushi to soft shell crab to hangar steak to dessert. I didn't bother knowing the names because I just went on chomping and devouring every dish brought to our table. They tasted as good as they looked. It's just WOW! Amazing food yet very affordable. Highly recommended!

Japanese resto on the third or fourth floor of this mall and the place is similar to a small sushi place here in Toronto with only about 10-15 tables that extend inside the mall so you can 'people watch' while you munch on some fresh well-handled ingredients. The chicken teriyaki dinner was served on a bed of fresh leafy greens with bomb teriyaki sauce drizzled on top that can activate salivation in an instant. The sushi rolls were compact with flavour and filling that is heavily squished between master hands and a wooden roller perfecting a trip coming to an end in my beautiful city. I forget which ones we ordered but we came near closing and the options were limited to what's available for the chef to make so we settled for what it is, but it never felt like settling. Service was also warm despite us bombarding into the server's wishful thinking in getting the restaurant cleaned and empty in time for clocking out. Please refer to the pictures taken as all of the above have imprinted quality sushi in our minds whenever we are back for some shopping next visit. A bit on the pricier side compared to other cheaper options in and out the mall but it's equivalent to paying $60 and on par with the a la carte restos here in Toronto.

Of all the dishes I must order, it is their Uni Nigiri (Php95 per piece, 2USD). The Uni they serve is always very sweet and fresh. I usually order a few robata (grilled) items such as their Butabara Shio (Php85 per stick, 1.84USD) and Yakitori (Php75 per stick, 1.62USD) to go with their Onigiri Sanshu (3 Kinds of Rice Balls for Php345, 7.46USD). If you really want to go all out, I recommend you order their Chirashi Don (Php650, 14USD), the sashimi will depend on the delivery of the day. They also offer premium sakes to cap of your meal. This is an honest to goodness wonderful Japanese restaurant. If you're in Ortigas, forget those pseudo Japanese restaurants in the malls and head on over to Marufuku. :)

If it is a drink or larger item like a soup, they will hand deliver it but it's a quick drop and go kind of thing. There is a hot water spout at your table with matcha (which isn't the best grade) but it works lol Air con worked, it was never really "busy" when we went.
