If you are around the area, this the place to go for some very good fresh seafood! It is a bit on the pricey side but you will get what you paid for. I will recommend and return to this place anytime I am in town!

This is where I would treat myself everytime during pay day because to me pay day is seafood day! As much as I would want to eat seafood every day, I cannot because one, it might trigger my allergies, two, it's expensive and three, there's really not much fresh seafood in the city anyway. But then, there's Dampa sa Libis (5 minutes away from my place), the best tasting and the nearest seafood market/resto where I can get a craving satisfied with ₱700.00 budget. That's Crabs in Coconut Milk, Shrimp in Garlic Chili Sauce, Calamares and Fried Rice with servings good for four! What I like about Dampa is that it is the only market/resto that I know where you can pick your choice of fresh fish and seafood from the market and then have them cooked in the restaurant any way you like. How can it not satisfy a craving with that?

    Good crowd!

So you go first to the wet market section to pick your stuff then you have them cooked in any of the paluto stalls around the place.

The crab boil was bursting with flavor -- rich, garlicky, and perfectly seasoned so every bite packed a punch. Portions were generous, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality and freshness. What really made the experience stand out was the warm, family-friendly vibe. The staff treated us like old friends, making the whole meal feel relaxed and fun. The casual, welcoming ambiance is perfect for rolling up your sleeves, digging in, and enjoying great seafood with great company. This is the kind of place you leave with a full stomach, a happy heart, and maybe a little sauce on your shirt -- exactly how a crab boil should be.

Experience:…read more Prominent things in this restaurant would be the hanging decoration near the lights and walls, gloves for eating, seafood in a bag, and a sink for hand washing. There's no restroom inside but Atrium's is just right across. Clam Chowder: This was a good way to start our meal! Soup was thick, having a creamy texture that was filling enough along with some clam. Seafood Specialties: Main course of today's meal was mussels and shrimp. Before anything, I gotta mention how fun it was to eat everything with plastic gloves on. I've tried this with wings elsewhere and now seafood at Bag O' Shrimps; just pure fun! I still dare to put aside using a spoon to eat the rice drenched in their amazing sauces. Shrimps were fresh plus easy and fun to peel before dipping back into its amazing sauce before eating. We added corn to everything and even that was fun to eat. It's a bit messy on the mouth though. Mussels were impressively large and probably the largest I've seen so far. You can easily tell from the shells already and when you see the actual mussels, amazing! The sauce was just as tasty as the shrimps' but with a bit more spice. Service: Standard good service! Good luck eating the rice with your hands. I'd also love to hear everyone's thoughts! Did scooping a handful and pushing it up with your thumb still work with the gloves on.

I really enjoyed the fish I had. It was covered in roasted garlic. It was so good. The only thing I…read moredidn't like the fish was overcooked so I really couldn't enjoy all of it. But what I could eat with extremely tasty. The service is very difficult for the location. So if you are an American traveling, I would just ask that you request your bill as soon as your order is completed so that you can just get up and go like you normally would if you were home. The ambience is pretty cool to talk, but still a bit away from the water itself.

We have been…read moreeating at some very mediocre restaurants since arriving in Quezon City Philippines due to our host always insisting on places he frequents. I don't mean to be an ungrateful bastard as we are staying at his house, but I'm sorry to say his choices haven't been places I would ever go back to. Today while we were out we found Seafood Island. We ate at one 5 years ago with a large group and the food was much better the first time. This time around we ordered a platter for 3-4 people and they would not substitute items on the platter we selected. All the food was served in a traditional Filipino method on banana leaves. We also ordered Sinagong soup w/salmon head, okra, & onion which was ok, but too salty. The combo order came with some * Fish casserole dish - probably the best dish w/green peppers, red onions, carrots * Fried Eggplant - battered and fried OK * Fried Bangus - 3 tiny fish * Tilapia Grilled (very tiny fish) * Bagoong w/green mangos - shrimp paste which I absolutely love, but am allergic to. Pork Belly - mostly fat devoid of flavor * Sliced Pork over mango w/onions, julienne carrot slices, julienne green pepper & Spicy vinegar. * Slimy noodles - yuk * 2 half's of an egg roll pretty good * another piece of pork belly (Too much fat) The food at this place bordered on mediocre to bad (except the fish casserole). Would I go back absolutely not
