Clean, plenty of parking spaces, friendly customer services, and their menu set has plenty of selections.

This location does have a vegan option for those who are looking. While the taste was exceptional, the limited space in the restaurant did lead to a bit of a wait before getting seated. However, they convieniently have a sister location just across the street which allows you to compare wait times between the two spots and choose the one that could accommodate you first.

The wait is long but worth it. So no taking home leftovers but you can do frozen ramen take out where they also have instructions on how to make it. We had the tantanmen ramen with extra charsiu and egg and it was phenomenal. No wonder they don't have you take it home. We also ordered gyoza which was a little too oily for me and also their Japanese fried rice and chicken karaage now the chicken was great but the rice was passable at best. The rice tasted like they old rice which would be perfect for your usual fried rice as that's what I use but this was too brittle. I paired the chicken with an Asahi beer which hit the spot perfectly. All in all I would say reserve seats first so you don't have to wait long. They make you order and pay ahead of time before eating which is worth noting. Oh and there don't have a lot of seating capability.

AMBIENCE & SERVICE…read more We were glad to see in their Facebook page that they were open. Upon our arrival, we waited for nearly a minute for someone to attend to us outside the entrance, but we ended up going in and heading right back outside because we were still supposed to wait. Only then did someone go outside and tell us to wait for the table to get prepared. This could be smoother next time if someone is readily available to guide us instead of leaving us guessing how long to wait outside, or at least leave a sign on the door. But then again, I'm aware they might have less staff due to the new normal, or staff might be more productive inside rather than out. Orders were taken verbally instead of the usual order forms with red pencils. Plastic dividers of the middle table we were at made it challenging to communicate with my companion, but tables on our right and left had one less plastic divider. Service was relatively quick; a big plus! FOOD & BEVERAGE Green King Ramen was still exceptionally delicious especially with the added parmesan flavor and bits of meat. I have impressions that the noodles might've come from the freezer because of the way some parts were still attached together, but this wasn't a big deal due to adjusted expectations for, again, the new normal. It's more important to me that everything is delicious and this was a success. The surprising bottled guava iced tea was a big letdown though. It was so bland that we didn't get our money's worth with it. Overall, we're still very happy with our ramen.

The design is reminiscent of similar places in Japan, with no tables and only a single stretch of stove-side countertop for dining. Since seating is quite limited, dawdling over your meal isn't the most polite thing, especially when you see people waiting outside. The owner of Mensakaba Geishu is Japanese, so expect a high level of authenticity in the dishes. The Tantanmen tastes more like ground beef than the usual Manila offering, though, so consider yourself forewarned. Still, the dishes are delicious and the selection is pretty much on par for a ramen joint. The restaurant is air-conditioned, as befitting a ramen joint. Parking is generally sufficient if you come at night, when most neighboring stores are closed. During the day, you may end up parking on the road, but this is a pretty safe action.

This hidden gem is found in the deeper end of Aguirre street right across Girl and the Bull…read more Whenever I crave a bowl of superb ramen, all I need to do is to go to Menskaba Geishu. It's popularity with the nearby residents has grown exponentially since it open a little over a year ago. It's a small ramen shop that seats only twelve individuals, a ramen bar if you want to call it, and people really wait in line outside the store to get a bowl of delicious ramen prepared by the Japanese chef - former manager of a golf club who spent his retirement to make his dream come true: to own a ramen shop. My personal favourite is the Abura soba or 'oil-noodles', a concoction of ramen noodles, spicy sauce, topped with chashu. Out of all ramen joints I've tried, this was is pretty cheap but gives you the same comfort other well know ramen joints provide. So if you happen to be in South especially in Aguirre, drop by! You'll love their tantamein too! Not too oily but well executed.

AMBIENCE Restaurant actually looked small once we entered…read more On the ground floor were seats suitable for solo travelers and couples while upstairs had a few tables for groups. Air con was fairly strong and the couch seats we took were very wide and roomy. The afternoon sun was relaxing throughout our stay! FOOD Gyoza was typically delicious especially with tiny dunks into soy sauce; a very safe choice for an appetizer. Both Shoyu and Shio Ramen were excellent! Flavor of the broth already wanted me to eat some more. Although both were expected to be salty, Shoyu was tastier and more interesting in my opinion. Noodles can be soft or firm. Since I always get them firm wherever I go, I was surprised that the texture reminded me of canton-type noodles, but I say this in a good way because I've never had ramen like this before; totally worked out well. I'll give a special mention for the Shirataki Noodles, a Php60 upgrade. It had a gelatinous texture that reminded me of sotanghon, but thicker. This noodle is known to be very low in carbs and calories, so I therefore conclude that I love normal noodles more! I had fun trying it out anyway. And, yeah, the free cold tea was actually good! SERVICE Our server did an excellent job explaining the Zomato Gold mechanics with her visual aid that looked like a menu. We ordered three dishes and got worried that the free dish might be the cheaper dish, making us feel like we should have used two memberships instead (to get two freebies for two orders). Turns out the other ramen was free. Friendly reminder to fellow foodies: If you are claiming Zomato Gold perks, always make the effort to present your code BEFORE ordering. And know the rules.

Tucked along the busy strip of restaurants and businesses under the Mezza Residences is probably…read moresome of the best ramen I've had in Metro Manila--and that's saying something, because ramen is a big deal in these parts! It doesn't have the international recognition of Ippudo or Santouka or the creativity of Nagi, but the ramen here feels as though someone is treating you for a nice dinner at home. There are only three flavors available of the ramen, the shiro (classic), kuro (garlic), and aka (spicy). I've had both the kuro and aka, and I can say that they are extremely satisfying. Neither the garlic nor the spice was too overpowering. The broth was also extremely well-balanced. Not too fatty but still smooth enough to make you want to slurp the bowl once you've finished. The pork cuts weren't as tender as I've had at other places, but still very well done. The tamago was also well done. Love the runniness! But what puts this place over the edge into 5-star territory is the price. You can get a super filling bowl of ramen here for only 230 pesos! And that's for the larger size! I wager that's basically half of what you'd pay at the more upscale mall places for nearly the same quality. I was also able to try one of their sets featuring a bowl of ramen of your choosing, their gyudon rice don on the side and a bowl of fresh fruits for only 360 pesos. I was stuffed after. So so worth it. The gyoza was also really well made, and a steal for only 100 pesos. The staff here is always super attentive and accommodating, even when we've come in with a larger group, and they do accept all major credit cards, which is a huge plus for me. Definitely worth a try. I don't have to venture out to the more upscale parts of the Metro to enjoy a well-curated bowl of ramen anymore!
