    Shoyu ramen
    Gerard Y.

Not bad for a ramen restaurant. Had the shoyu ramen. The broth is pleasant with a nice piece of chasiu. Add a perfectly cooked tamago and a few pieces of chicken kaarage and gyoza. A meal worth it. Total cost ₱800 Parking is unfortunately unavailable. You need to park across the street at unimart or estancia mall

This restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing and noticeably very busy. It's wait line is truly an hour and they make you order before you sit down so your food will be ready when you actually get a seat. Although, their check in process is quite messy and the tables are not cleaned too much - just wiped down. When you do finally sit down, you see rushed quite a bit and it's uncomfortable.

#39/100 yelp challenge * Price: not bad for american standard but maybe pricey for the locals. 350 to 450 php (7 to 10 USD) per bowl of ramen. 4+ star * Ambiance: casual, trendy, shabby chic decor. 4 star. * Location: plenty of parking, free parking. 4 star. * Meals: delicious. ramen with thick base, hand pull noodles, fried chicken is crispy and moist. 5 star. * service: pleasant. 4 star. While visiting Manila, my local friends took us here since this is the best ramen in town. It did not disappoint us! We ordered off the menu. - super charsiu tonkotsu ramen: pork base broth, very hearty, ground pork burger on top... who would not like ramen and burger?! - EBI seafood tonkotsu: seafood base broth with a touch of fish sauce and spicy hot sauce. it is very surprisingly tasty! This ramen is also served with Aji tamago which is salted eggs in addition to seafood. - Karaage: fried chickens. every crispy and moist. Overall, everything is tasty and full flavor! it is a small place so you may have to wait for a while but it is worthy!

Great Ramen place as shared by most post. Ramen Familiarity: Japan, US Friendly Staff, Clean, and now for the main info... The FOOD. Had the following... -Gyoza -Shoyu // you want it spicy like me, just add their spicy oil; good in grilling the lean pork vs belly type of cuts like most even in Japan. -TanTan-men // just a tad too creamy, but yummy nonetheless That's all folks

Hands down the best ramen in Metro Manila. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. I had the Tantanmen and boy it was so delicious, you'd believe their backstory about 'Ramen God' lol. Gyozas and Kaarage are very good too. The place is always busy. I suggest seating at the bar for a better dining experience.

I live very far away from Alabang. I will only go there if it's for work and, in those few times that I do go, I make sure the trip is worth it by eating a bowl of ramen at Yushoken. In my opinion, they have THE Best Ramen in Manila! The menu is very simple; there are only 17 dishes on the menu (excluding the beverage options). For the ramen, there are 4 ramen soup variants: shio, shoyu, miso and tantanmen. What makes Yushoken different is their soup, I can only describe it as "creamy", rich, thick and full of umami. Of all the soups, I go for the Tantan-Men which is the spicy soup base (not too spicy but it has the most well-rounded flavor among the 4, in my opinion). Also, the noodles are made in house! A bowl of Tantan-Men is Php380 (8.14USD). For first-timers, go for the Shio Ramen (Php320, 6.86USD). To complete your Yushoken meal, try their Gyoza (5 pieces, Php150, 3.21USD) and Karaage (Fried Chicken, Php210, 4.50USD). When I'm feeling bad and need a pick me up, I also order an Aji Tamago (Php80, 1.71USD) which I eat with the remaining soup. :) Here are a few rules you MUST follow: NO reservations are accepted. NO takeout of leftovers. Or, in their words, "If you want a takeout, buy instant ramen". Duly noted.

Heard that Yushoken is one of the best ramen places in Metro Manila. Well, it definitely didn't disappoint! The soup was great but probably comparable to other good Japanese restos (I had the miso ramen). The noodles, on the other hand, were to die for! Also, I'm not a fan of gyoza, but theirs were the best ones I've tried!

For two years, Yushoken's been consistently serving those bowls with precision. A great ramen experience to curb your craving or try something new in the form of maze soba- a vibrant bowl of different textures (crunchy greens plus oozing golden egg yolk). Their soup-less variations of ramen is a great alternative when you don't want to bother with slurping/puffing your way into your meal. I just suspect little differences in their chashu every now and then- sometimes I don't get a sliver that's kissed by a lovely grill mark. It's tenderness is everything though! Meanwhile the food and service is stellar, I really hope they do some repairs with their bathroom.

Shoyu ramen -- rich, delicious broth. Not for the faint hearted!

I get it. I finally get why so many friends are raving about Yushoken. Their tonkotsu broth really is something to call home about --- I was torn between continuing to slurp my ramen and sending a photo of my bowl to friends. The slurping won, of course, but I still sent out the photo about how the ramen gods have truly blessed this place. There really is some kind of sorcery that happens when they boil that broth for 12 hours and you can immediately tell how seriously they take their craft when their menu tells you point blank that the soup needs to be eaten ASAP and that "If you want to eat ramen at home, we recommend instant noodles" Noted, with thanks. I've tried the shio (salt-based) and shoyu (soy sauce) ramen and both are fantastic, but I prefer the richness of the shoyu just a little bit better. Their bowls aren't as massive as other ramen places but you don't mind because it's so flavorful and every element is done just -right- to make every spoonful amazing. It's not surprising that they make their own noodles and gyoza wrappers. So yes, if you're there for the ramen, do yourself a favor and order the gyoza (pork dumplings) and the aji-tamago (half-boiled egg).

    Tantan-men with Aji Tamago

I am such a huge ramen fan. I've been living in Alabang my entire life, and I've been waiting for a ramen restaurant to open in the area. Finally! My prayer has been answered, and the clear answer is Yushoken! I usually get the spiciest ramen in any ramen restaurant, and in Yushoken, the spiciest dish is their most ordered dish, the Tantan-Men (P 380). I usually order it with a side dish of Aji Tamago which is also known as 'Seasoned Egg' (P 80). I especially love putting the egg in the ramen. Other than their ramen, their Chahan aka Japanese Fried rice (P 220) is really delicious! The perfec t partner for Yushoken's Chahan is my favourite dish out of all, their Gyoza, which is a dish consisting of wonton stuffed with cabbage and pork (150). I must say that although most people love Yushoken because if the different kinds of Ramen they serve, I most definitely love this restaurant for their Gyoza. ;) Yushoken has got to be my one and only favourite source of Gyoza.

    I will shoyu my love.

No wonder they don't have you take it home. The rice tasted like they old rice which would be perfect for your usual fried rice as that's what I use but this was too brittle. AMBIENCE & SERVICE…read more We were glad to see in their Facebook page that they were open. Upon our arrival, we waited for nearly a minute for someone to attend to us outside the entrance, but we ended up going in and heading right back outside because we were still supposed to wait. Only then did someone go outside and tell us to wait for the table to get prepared. This could be smoother next time if someone is readily available to guide us instead of leaving us guessing how long to wait outside, or at least leave a sign on the door. But then again, I'm aware they might have less staff due to the new normal, or staff might be more productive inside rather than out. Orders were taken verbally instead of the usual order forms with red pencils. Plastic dividers of the middle table we were at made it challenging to communicate with my companion, but tables on our right and left had one less plastic divider. Service was relatively quick; a big plus! FOOD & BEVERAGE Green King Ramen was still exceptionally delicious especially with the added parmesan flavor and bits of meat. I have impressions that the noodles might've come from the freezer because of the way some parts were still attached together, but this wasn't a big deal due to adjusted expectations for, again, the new normal. It's more important to me that everything is delicious and this was a success. The surprising bottled guava iced tea was a big letdown though. It was so bland that we didn't get our money's worth with it. Overall, we're still very happy with our ramen.

Air con was fairly strong and the couch seats we took were very wide and roomy. The afternoon sun was relaxing throughout our stay! FOOD Gyoza was typically delicious especially with tiny dunks into soy sauce; a very safe choice for an appetizer. Both Shoyu and Shio Ramen were excellent! Flavor of the broth already wanted me to eat some more. Although both were expected to be salty, Shoyu was tastier and more interesting in my opinion. Noodles can be soft or firm. Since I always get them firm wherever I go, I was surprised that the texture reminded me of canton-type noodles, but I say this in a good way because I've never had ramen like this before; totally worked out well. I'll give a special mention for the Shirataki Noodles, a Php60 upgrade. It had a gelatinous texture that reminded me of sotanghon, but thicker. This noodle is known to be very low in carbs and calories, so I therefore conclude that I love normal noodles more! I had fun trying it out anyway. And, yeah, the free cold tea was actually good! SERVICE Our server did an excellent job explaining the Zomato Gold mechanics with her visual aid that looked like a menu. We ordered three dishes and got worried that the free dish might be the cheaper dish, making us feel like we should have used two memberships instead (to get two freebies for two orders). Turns out the other ramen was free. Friendly reminder to fellow foodies: If you are claiming Zomato Gold perks, always make the effort to present your code BEFORE ordering. And know the rules.
