My friend and I stopped by Ramen Moto on a Sunday afternoon, and we had a great experience. The restaurant has such a nice vibe -- really pretty inside and super inviting. Our servers were very nice and attentive, which made the visit even better. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Ramen, and it was delicious. I asked for the spice on the side, which I loved because I could adjust the heat level to my liking. Overall, we both really enjoyed our food and had a great time here. I'd definitely come back!

On a cold night, we were looking for something warm for dinner. Ramen Moto came up on the top of the list. Upon entering, you see a wall lined with different type of sake. Table, wall paneling and chair were all wood. Reminds me of our time in Tokyo. It was pretty busy for a Thursday night and opted for bar seating. Plenty of choices from hot and cold appetizers, grilled and ramen. We start with Takoyaki and it was delicious. The best one I've had in Houston so far! Very tasty and the right ratio of octopus and batter. Comparable to the one we had in Tokyo. No joke. Next I ordered the Spicy Black. The bowl is a little smaller than others ramen places but the quality ingredients stood outs. The slices of chashu were thick with a bit of fat. It was super tender and breaks apart easily. Each piece has a little fat that make it even tastier. It also came with bamboo shoots, green onions and egg. The egg served whole so the soft yolk doesn't spill out until you ar ready to bite on it. Soup was well balanced... not too heavy with a little kick. Found our new favorite ramen places. Will definitely be back to try the other dishes. Highly recommend to try them out.

Super solid ramen spot! I came on a Saturday night for dinner and because I went with a large group we did have to wait over an hour for a table so I recommend making a reservation a head of time if you have a party of 5 or more. Though the wait was long, the food definitely made up for it. I got the spicy garlic and I got to try the demon ramen, the spicy tsukemen ramen, and the tonkotsu. The spicy garlic was awesome. The broth was rich and super flavorful. Very savory and umami and a good amount of spice. I liked how there was a generous amount of charsu and the cuts were thick and tender. The egg was perfectly soft boiled and the green onions on top add a great hint of freshness. I am also personally a fan of the thin noodles they use for ramen and would come back for this bowl any day. (8.5/10) The demon ramen was labeled as "extremely spicy" and I can confirm that it is hot. If you enjoy Szechuan cuisine this is the same kind of oil and flavor profile that is added to the broth. The spiciness increases as you continue to drink the broth so I would cation those that do not have a high spice tolerance. However, if you are a spice lover and enjoy mala I would highly recommend this bowl. (8/10) The spicy tsukemen was also very spicy as labeled on the menu. Also, because this is a dipping ramen the broth is much more concentrated and so is the spice. The flavor was great and this one came with thicker ramen noodles. Be prepared to sweat if you are ordering this one. (7.5/10) The tonkotsu was super rich. I loved the creamy and savory broth. The other elements of the ramen were consistently great across every bowl. I'd recommend this to someone trying ramen for the first time. (8/10) Overall, the interior is very well decorated with an industrial vibe. The service was quick and friendly. They were also very helpful with the menu. Parking can be a bit challenging because the shopping center has a smaller parking lot but there is street parking near by. I would definitely come back to try their skewers and when I am craving ramen again.

As soon as I got in the restaurant I got great vibes! Very cozy and relaxing! The lighting was awesome!! Service wise it was amazing as well! The guy at the door was really cool and friendly, along with my server, she was really sweet! But the best part was the delicious food! They have delicious French Toast and a wonderful ramen variety!

Spicy Tsukemen! Spicy but not intolerable. Wonderful flavor

Came back for a quick bite Sat at the bar- was comfy. Had little hooks under the counter for your bag. Had the chicken ramen, chicken wasabi thigh, and salmon poke dish Chicken ramen was savory- my 3/3 ordering this dish. I guess i chose it because in my altered realithy i think its prob less fatty than the pork options (cha seui) 5/5 The salmon - prob didnt need. But it was fine 3/5 Chicken thigh w wasabi seasoning was as expected. 3/5

I needed a late night bite and nothing else was open around. The ramen was alright but it smelled like toilet/sewage in the restaurant which is really unpleasant.

My boyfriend and I spotted this place on Instagram and knew we had to check it out. It's been getting a lot of hype online, which usually makes me a little skeptical but this spot lives up to it. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but inside, it's surprisingly spacious with really nice decor! The menu is pretty extensive, offering a variety of cold dishes, sashimi, kushiyaki, rice, noodles, and of course, ramen. We wanted to sample a few things, so we started with the salmon yukke. It's a simple yet flavorful dish topped with a quail egg yolk. It was super fresh and such a perfect way to start the meal off. I'd also heard good things about their kushiyaki, so we tried the Negi Thigh (chicken). Honestly, it wasn't anything mind blowing, but it was super tasty and made for a great little appetizer since the portion is pretty small. For our main course, we both ordered the Spicy Tori Paitan. Our waiter warned us that it was really spicy, but we like heat, so we didn't think twice. Well... there's a reason he emphasized it....it was no joke! By the end, my nose was running and my eyes were watering, but it was absolutely delicious. I even ordered a side of kimchi to help cool things down between bites. Maybe I overestimated my spice tolerance, but no regrets! Service was fast, and our waiter was super knowledgeable, which helped us navigate the menu as first timers. They also have a pretty solid drink menu although I didn't try anything this time. Just gives me an excuse to come back!

Check this place out if you are looking for an all around flavorful experience. The drinks, appetizers and ramen were all a 10/10. Located in a strip center, the parking was very limited but don't let that stop you from checking this spot out. There was a short wait but there is bar seating available. I ordered the Brussels Spouts & Salt Wings to start. The Brussels Spouts had a nice Thai Chili kick to it that added to the crispness of the Brussel Spouts. The salt wings took a little longer and while they were tasty, I was disappointed that for 6.50$, I only received two flats. A little too pricey but tasty nevertheless. I also tried the lychee margarita and it was quite refreshing and cool as the ramen had my mouth on fire! I ordered the TanTan Men with a spicy bomb & a side of pork. The spicy bomb was a perfect addition to the ramen as it wasn't spicy without it but full of flavor. The cilantro was hidden but tasty addition that I truly enjoyed! I will be back.

Came by for a casual meal and enjoyed it! I tried the burnt garlic ramen and shared the tori nanban (chicken nugget, vinegar soy, egg tartar). Both were yummy! The burnt garlic ramen had a nice rich flavor. It didn't have much meat though (1 slice), so I was glad we got the extra chicken on the side. The tori nanban was essentially fried chicken nuggets with a thick mayo tartar sauce on top, and the chicken came out pretty crispy and juicy. Service was fine. Parking was okay; the restaurant shares a lot in a small plaza. I did appreciate that the menu came with tons of pictures of the food items!

Ramen Moto is a great addition to the Montrose area, especially for a place that opens late. I was surprised to see a ramen spot stay open until 1am. I had very low expectations, however I was proven wrong. When you first walk in, the place is decorated so beautifully. It's small, yet looks so big. The bar does take up a lot of the restaurant space. Takoyaki I've had better takoyaki in my humble opinion. I just wish this one was a bit more crispier on the outside and less mushy. Chili Dumpling My fiancée loves a good dumpling app and this was quite flavorful. Since its in sitting in a bowl of sauce, don't expect it to be too cripsy on the edges. It does had the flavor though. We love to get it. Katsu Curry and Rice If you're not feeling ramen, a good warm katsu curry just hits the spot. Crisy, crunchy, and delicious. Soft fluffy rice just goes well with the curry and it just warms your soul. Korokke (potato croquette) - I didn't know what to expect, but I'd order it again. It was light, airy, crispy, and fluffy. Give me a plate full. Tan Tan Every Tan Tan is different, except this tan tan was just spicy and lacked umami flavor. It just hit the back of your throat first thing. You couldn't even taste the flavor. My fiancée was a little disappointed, and he loves a good Tan Tan bowl. Black Garlic Man...I just kept drinking the black garlic broth more than I was eating it. The ratio of broth to noodles started to show. That's just how DELICIOUS it was. It was packed with so much flavor. I could imagine the oomph from the Spicy Garlic. The thin noodles were just perfect in this dish. Al dente bites from every chop stick pull. Put this on the list of late night ramen spots in the loop. I'd definitely come back if I'm not feeling the drive the Chinatown.

We first ordered the kawa senbei and it is enough for 2 people to share as an appetizer. These chicken skins were not too thick or thin and had the perfect amount of crunch. The lime and sauce provided added a soy and citrus kick to the dish and i loved it. The Brussel sprouts were roasted and slightly crispy. It was tossed in some kind of sweet and sour sauce that tasted excellent. The spicy burnt garlic ramen is a good choice for intermediate ramen indulgers. The burnt garlic gave the broth a roasted taste and the sweetness of the bamboo blended well with it. The pork belly could've been a little bigger, but the amount of spice was not overpowering the other flavors inside the bowl. 9.5/10

Love the decor inside. The restaurant was more spacious than expected! Service was excellent; shout-out to our waiter Nicholas! Appetizer: Enjoyed the tori nanban (similar to chicken karrage); addicting!! Me being a big back, I couldn't decide which entree, so why not both HAHA. Burnt Garlic ramen was super delicious! Broth had great flavor and the chashu was amazing. Added spicy bomb on the side; only used about 25% since it was hella spicy lol. Was craving katsu curry rice; that slapped omg. Katsu was crispy. Craving satisfied! Tried some of the spicy tsukemen; pretty good. Ended the meal with a lava toast! Can't wait to come back and try other menu items at Ramen Moto!

Flying V Harvest was fantastic. I drank that broth like I just came out of the Sahara. So good. The Impossible meat fusion is a funny add but a good protein bump. It was a few days ago but I think I'm still full from that ramen bowl. The vibe is modern high ceiling bumping music; my in-laws found it to be too loud. I think they are giving you an excuse to lean in and get a little closer to your companion. The vibe is chic yet also casual so bring whoever you want but this would work for date night. The font on the menus is squint inducing so do your research ahead of time or prepare to spend more time perusing the menu than usual, especially with the dim lighting. They offer thin or thick noodles and can mix some broth options to adjust spice level. Drinks- the smoked in front of your face whiskey is a treat and a show. Solid spot. No regrets. Salivating at the thought of the next visit.

Their ramen is flavorful and solid and their service is consistent. Parking: parking is free in the garage around the corner from JINYA. We went during the week and the garage was not packed. There's also paid street parking around the restaurant that you can find but look for signs to know when you have to pay and when you don't. Service: service here is very good. They have an army of waitresses and waiters who check on tables and we never had to ask for refills or never had to flag down someone. Our food came out in a timely manner. The one thing I will say about service is the appetizers we ordered came out right before our ramen so we had all of our food at one time which was a lot. I wish they would've spaced out the food timing a little more. Ambiance: JINYA has a modern interior and open concept. They have tables, booths, and 2 big community tables in the center of the restaurant. The restaurant playlist is hip and modern. The inside of the restaurant is dimly lit so if you have bad eyesight, get ready to use your flashlight to read the menu. Food: we ordered two ramens and the gyoza and edamame. Gyoza: these were fried well and had a gyoza sauce that came on the table. The wrapper was thin and they were not too oily. We would order this again. Edamame: this was typical edamame. Nothing too special. Would not get this again when we come back. Creamy Classic Tori-Paitian: this is a chicken ramen with wavy noodles that came with fried enoki mushrooms, chicken chasu, butter, spinach and a corn rib. This ramen was rich in flavor and had so many fun, delicious toppings. The corn run was grilled nicely and I wish I had more of them in my bowl. I'm a sucker for enoki mushrooms and this did not disappoint. I took the enoki mushrooms out of the ramen immediately so they didn't get soggy fast and that was the move if you want the mushrooms to stay crunchy. The chicken broth was rich and light which was a great combo. I finished this bowl to the last drop. JINYA Chicken Ramen: my girlfriend got the chicken ramen with a side of bamboo. Warning on the bamboo: the bamboo comes dressed in sesame oil and sole hot oil so they are a little spicy. The chicken ramen broth was once again rich with flavor and light. The chicken chase was good and this ramen comes with thin noodles instead of wavy noodles. Overall JINYA hits the spot when craving ramen or some hot soup on a cold day. The chicken broth is legit and I will be closing back to try the pork broth soon. My only qualm with JINYA is the price at over $17 per bowl of ramen. There are cheaper ramen places but JINYA flavor makes up for the priciness.

However, since crawfish season is one of my favorite times of the year, I had to come back to try their limited edition ramen. Just like my first visit, the staff were extremely friendly, the food came out incredibly quickly, and the overall experience felt comforting and welcoming. I ordered the seasonal bowl, The Crawmen, which came with crawfish tonkotsu broth, andouille sausage, bayou butter, corn, and peppers. While the bowl was clearly inspired by a crawfish boil, I felt like it could have leaned even further into those flavors with more crawfish and a stronger boil seasoning overall. The ramen was definitely delicious, but the broth did not quite have enough crawfish boil flavor to fully separate it from their standard tonkotsu ramen. At times, it mostly tasted like the original broth with andouille sausage added in. Even so, it was still an enjoyable bowl of ramen, though I would probably stick to one of their regular menu options over this seasonal special. My mom and I also shared the Karaage, which arrived very quickly while still being piping hot, crispy, and juicy inside. On the other hand, I would personally skip the Sakura Sweet Tea and Strawberry Yuzu Lemonade in the future since they mostly tasted like their regular counterparts without adding anything particularly unique. Overall, I still really enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and reliable quality of this place, especially the ramen and karaage. While the seasonal bowl did not fully live up to its concept for me, the experience itself was still enjoyable enough that I would gladly return again.

My favorite thing was the Kimchi Fried Rice with Chicken - it was so good I didn't have the chance to take a photo! lol. Service did not stand out, but when we needed our guy he was nearby and ready to help us. Will definitely be returning! :))

DEM NACHOSSS WAS BUSSIN'…read more Let's get right into it. We went here as a last minute option due to Leighton's House of Lamb + Ramen being CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS. Boom, we come here. They deserve 4.5 stars because come on it's 24/7 ramen. Parking is cool but limited. First impression walking in was that it has this really unique and dope vibe. I love the set up and it was giving spacious. There were cassette tapes aligned on the wall in the booth we sat in, which I thought was very creative. There was Anime characters above the doors when you first walk in, with Anime playing on the TVs at the bar. Oh yeah, THERES A FULL BAR if you ready to get your drink on. Now, off rip the host was annoying. She was kinda rushy and caught an attitude when we asked for a booth. We can't even describe the vibe she gave off fr. It was just BLEH. Our table was clean which is very important to us and our waitress Yasmin was kind and patient with our questions, and dietary substitutions. We ordered the Super Saiyan Nachos as an appetizer for $16. Maaann, these were so delicious!!!!! We actually substituted the pork for shiitake mushrooms and when I tell y'all we were surprised at the portion We both looked at each other like "YAAASSSSSS" Next came our Ramen orders which didn't take long at all. Not that we were counting because we were INDULGED in those nachos LOL Babii rated her Oxtail Ramen a '7/10' for $25. She would've preferred to get shiitake mushrooms because she particularly didn't like the fact that the Oxtails were shredded and not on the bone (which is what we both expected when reading it). She also would've liked if they gave her a spice option since she likes spicy ramen. Unfortunately, we had to purchase a nasty 'Kappa' sauce which was not worth the $1.50. To her the portion size was A1, however we paid for the meat so it wasn't worth the $25. Now, the Vegetable Garden to me was a '8.5/10' it was good, had amazing portion size and they were not lacking in the texture department. I mean, the spinach noodles were delish, vegetable cooked very Al dente. I cannot complain on that part. To me it was missing a bit of flavor, maybe salt would've done the trick. Overall though, it did have the flavor of the mushrooms which wasn't bad. Most importantly though, I felt light after consuming my meal. Therefore, I have to give it all a high rating. GO TRY THIS PLACE OUT, ITS WORTH THE TRY
