Greeting at the door, Great food quality, Clean establishment. This place is a hidden gem in the corner of the Edward's parking lot.

"Dear our loyal customers. We are writing to inform you of a significant transition that affects Ramen Sho. Effective March 19, 2025, we will sadly be closing our doors. It has been a pleasure serving our dishes to our customers, who became friends and family over the years since 2017, but it is time to say our goodbyes. We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years, and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly. Due to multiple determining factors, it has become impossible for us to keep the business going. We hope to open our doors again, should circumstances allow. Until then, we want you to know how much we value you as a customer. We encourage you to visit us in these last weeks and have one last meal.Once again, thank you for contributing to the memories we've made at Ramen Sho. It has been an honor serving you. With sincere gratitude,"

Came here on a Tuesday night with a party of 2 since hot soup is the perfect meal for cold weather…read more It was relatively empty; there was only one other customer. The service was quick and friendly! The interior is not really my taste - it felt like a teenaged boy's room. There's a lot of anime posters and Japanese artwork, so definitely driving in the Japan/anime especially with the artwork outside the storefront. The menus look like they need an update since it was pretty worn down and barely held together by a taped up binder ring. We ordered veggie egg rolls to share and I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The egg rolls were ok. The ramen was also ok - nothing impressive. The soup was ok, but not as creamy or rich as I prefer tonkotsu to be. The chashu was dry and chewy, so it could've used more cooking time. The noodles had a great texture and the half boiled egg was delicious. I wish there were bamboo shoots as well but not a personal dealbreaker. All in all, it's an okay ramen restaurant that's on the affordable side.

I have NEVER been so excited to write a review in my entire life!…read more OK so it was like 8:15 pm and I decided I had to have this sushi burrito thing that I saw on the TikTok. That's right the TikTok... I'm not embarrassed to say it. Order it through GrubHub and I had like 10 minutes left to get my order in. I'm not really wanting to order things online because it's just expensive. Sorry GrubHub. Anyways... My food arrived by the door. Picture... Me running to my bedroom with my bag of goodies. I was skeptical, of course. Who's ever had sushi burrito before in Idaho?! I took one bite...ONE BITE...I instantly fell in love with whomever made it. It's the California roll and I asked for extra cream cheese, daikon and lemon. My taste buds are still dancing and won't shut up about it! ! An explosion of flavors that I haven't had in any sushi place here in Boise! I'm not kidding not one bit. I also ordered the edamame and wontons which were both good...I think...ummmm my brain keeps going back to that burrito. So it's a gigantic sushi adventure filled to the rim with what you ordered, unlike a regular normal tiny itsy bitsy roll. Are you picturing this?? Can you feel and taste the happiness? No? You better hurry up and go there. I mean...HURRY UP LIKE NOW! You don't want to take the risk that I ordered a few more from them and they ran out! THANKS GUYS! Can't wait to come in to visit you and order in person! Absolutely fantastic. Order how I ordered it....SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD! Ok bye.

The sauce was a little strange and it seemed like a hodgepodge of various cultural sauces. The noodles were the best dish I tried and it was stir fried well with lots of veggies. Huge portion and it can feed 2 or more. The veggie ramen was ok and it tasted out of a box. I think someone wrote the food tasted like it was out of a mall. I would agree. Quality was pretty sub par, and presentation was really nice and the ambiance cozy. I think that this restaurant has potential. If some of the ingredients were upgraded it would easily make a difference. I live in Seattle and there is lots of poke' and chains like Sam Choy. I would suggest marinating the poke first to give it a nice flavor profile. Just some thoughts. Thank you!
