i would say the ramen is just decent, not as rich but flavorful. the service is good as well as interior.

I placed the Tonkotsu ramen order to go after work. The clerk over the phone refused to sub the bamboo for the fish cake, so I paid $2 extra for the fish cake. Also requested thick noodle. Got home excited for the ramen. Was surprised to see thin noodle instead of thick, thought about calling to complain but I let it go. The fish cake, there were only 2 slices! 2 slices the size of a quarter... OMG. Very skimpy. I paid $2 extra but that's all I got. The broth, ridiculously overly salty. Over, bad experience. Made a pitstop for some food on my way to Yosemite and now I'm upset that this is so far from San Diego (which by the way, feel free to open up a location in SD). The broth was rich and flavorful and I love how they give you one full egg (I usually see only half an egg at most ramen places). The spam masubi was fresh. Again, most places already have spam masubi pre made and its not as good so getting it fresh for once was great. Service was great. The cashier answered all our questions and continued to check in on us even though its not that type of restaurant. You order at the counter and then find a table. We probably got great service because it was a Tuesday off hours and we were the only ones there but still. If I ever head back north again, I'll make sure to stop by. read more

This is my fovorete ramen joint. Ive been going since they opened. I love their shoyu broth and spicy miso, and their chili oil is flavorful and extra spicey. Their gyoza are to die for and their eggrolls are chanky and tasty too. Everytime i go i want to try all sorts of thing on their menu but i just can't pull myself away from how addicting their ramen is. their chasu and spam are my fave meat. like really, i always thought of spam as a sorta lower teir food but dang is it OP in their ramen. They also have one of those soda machines where you can add like dif flavors into ur drink and i love that. I had the Tonkatsu Ramen and cheesecake soufflé. The ramen has a good flavor and the portion size is good. You can also order custom ramen. They have other varieties. When you get to the place, you order before you sit down and they have everything on the menu board. I sat outside it's very well lit, it was a lil chilly and they don't have heaters but it was nice. The server brings the food out to you and they clean up the tables. They are constantly cleaning which is nice. They serve you pretty quickly. I would come back, I enjoyed it. read more

The dude and I came here with another couple for double date night on 02/04/22 around 8:15pm. We have been seeing commercials for this place a lot lately and wanted to try something different. I will first say that the Dude and I are not big fans of Asian Cuisine so it was not our first pick to come here. But the other couple we were with wanted to try something new and different and I am totally down for that! I never had a formal dining experience of Ramen before. My experience is just Top Ramen or Cup of Noodle as a little girl so you can take my review as it is. Upon entering it is absolutely beautiful and the patio is gorgeous. There were people dining in and outside on this beautiful evening. We let the couple we were with, go first as the dude and I were getting to know the menu and drink options. The couple we came with seriously held up the line until it was out the door xD . The dude and I order the Cheese Croquettes for appetizers 5/10, chicken egg rolls 7/10 for the table, the Shio Ramen with fried egg 6/10, steak fried rice 6/10, Thai Tea 7/10 and Plum Wine 9/10. After you order you get a number and self seat yourself. I love how they do offer gluten free offerings from broths to noodles yay! The lady who took our order was very friendly and patient. We opted to sit outside which was awesome as it was beautiful and they had heaters to keep us warm on the patio. A male served us our food which came out fairly quick. But took awhile for the dude and i to get the drinks we ordered but he did apologize for the wait. My Shio Ramen which I rated 6/10 was under salted it seriously had no flavor at all. The noodles were perfectly cooked but the meal was like luke warm. Just wish it was hot. It wasn't until the Plum wine (the alcohol) was delivered that everything tasted a lot better. The presentation was absolutely stunning. I was not a fan of the Cheese Ball Croquettes they lacked flavor and was underwhelming. The teriyaki sauce they sprinkled on top pretty much saved them. They were soggy and mushy though. I was hoping that since they looked deep fried the outer side would have had a nice crunch to it but sadly it didn't . The dude said his fried rice was okay. I did give it a try and we were both underwhelmed. The more alcohol I drink the better it taste the food taste - strange. That Plum Wine was the best item I tasted absolutely delicious. Definitely keep that on the menu! The chicken egg rolls were pretty good. They were hot, crunchy and flavorful. Yay! Later on we saw a staff member lock the outside patio door as we were about to get a to go container for the table. It would have been nice to let us know they were closing instead of locking the patio door and having to walk to the front of the restaurant -_-. About 9:30pm they came back to let us know they are closed. We know. We were about to leave which was annoying. We got the hint when they locked us out. I would not return. We enjoyed the company we were with not so much the food or ambiance here. Maybe I'm just not a Ramen fan - I feel I can make it better myself. read more

Great find! Tried a few dishes on a random weeknight. Loved the custom spicy miso ramen with spinach noodles, cha su, bamboo, mushrooms, and a soft boiled egg. Loved the egg and wish I added more. The spicy miso broth was decent, I had the chili oil on the side to adjust my own heat level. Yaki ramen with tofu was the highlight of the meal. I never thought I'd love ramen so much!! This place has some of the best in clovis. The portions are huge, I love how you get to make your own ramen bowl. The service is fast and friendly and the inside is clean and has some pretty decent amount of tables if you want to bring the family. I don't live anywhere near the restaurant so I've done takeout and brought it home and believe it or not it makes the ride home just as hot as I got it. We wanted to try this place for a while and finally we did it. We didn't know how the ordering work but we saw the menu and we kind of understood how to order the noodles soup. You pick your broth, from pork, chicken or vegetables. Then you have a choice of protein: chicken, beef, chicken, or fry tofu. Also you choose your noodles: thick, or thin. Then the veggies. I order mine with vegetable broth, thick noodles (they are just regular ramen noodles) mushrooms, bean sprouts and some cilantro and onions. It was pretty delicious. The only thing it was missing for my taste was some lemon. I didn't see any and I didn't ask. Next Time I will ask for some. it would be perfect for my taste. I really liked my combination. My hubby ordered the chicken soup with some chicken, mushrooms no bean sprouts in his. My daughter didn't want to eat The soup so she ordered some popcorn chicken and fried rice. According to her they were so delicious. The chicken was crunchy and tasty. We ordered some spring rolls. They were pretty crunchy and tasty. The place have plenty of room to seat inside and outside. It would be a 5 star but because of personal preferences of what I like in my ramen, I bumped it down to 4. The fried egg was a scrambled fried patty egg. I'm use to either a fried over easy/medium or a boiled egg in ramen. Another thing that caught me off guard was the shrimp. Unless specifically ordering shrimp in my ramen, it just seemed odd to me that this was their normal. sake was good and the spam masubi had a great surprise in it. Very delicious ramen! I think this is the best I've had in the Clovis/ Fresno area. There was ample seating inside the restaurant. You can either go to the cashier and order or sit down and order through a QR code at the table. The service was very fast. The staff came around to bring the food and to clear the tables when you were finished eating. My family got the Hokkaido Ramen, Shoyu Ramen, Spicy Miso Ramen (top to bottom in pic). Spicy Miso Ramen- 4/5: The broth was not dense but very flavorful. It was not salty at all (yay!). It was also not spicy for me (this is coming from someone who is bad with spicy flavors). The pork was extremely delicious- it was cooked and seasoned perfectly (the best I had in a ramen bowl). The thin noodles were not my favorite (just personal preference) but they were still cooked perfectly. Next time I would try something with the thick noodle. Ramen Hayashi  I've been to most of the ramen restaurants in the surrounding area and this place has pretty solid food. Today, May, 17, 2024, I got the Tonkotsu ramen. Nice flavor, not too salty. The pork is savory. I enjoyed the soft-boiled egg inside. Noodles had a very satisfying chew to them.  The thing that really stood out to me in today's order is the chicken karaage. It was like popcorn chicken, and tasted way better than KFC, honestly. It had a sweet, mayonnaise-like sauce. The chicken was crispy and felt fresh. I also had the soft shell crab for the 2nd time in my life today here. That's a plus considering not many places serve it around Clovis and Fresno. It was pretty good but not as crazy good as the chicken karaage. I sort of wish they had more ramen variations though. But still a good selection. read more

Not as good as last year. The noodle was cheap dry noodles, not the right noodle type for ramen. The worst part was the broth which I doubt was not made from tonkotsu but rather made with some quick tricks (mayo and eggs) because you can't taste the flavor of tonkotsu broth (pork bone/beef bone cooked for hours). This place is getting more expensive in menu prices but cheaper in quality. Disappointed! Probably won't come back. The service was good though. Food was okay, we kept it simple at tried the ton katsu ramen and some spam masubi. The broth was good, and the egg was perfectly done. Will most likely come back to try other things. One downside of our experience which is why I rated lower was that I took my daughter to the bathroom (she's 5) and it took probably less than 2 minutes and as we were walking out I noticed they had already cleared all of our food/drinks off the table. When I had mentioned it one gal she was really apologetic and had asked if we wanted the food to go. And the food is prepared and handled with care. With this said, I was just a bit underwhelmed with my dishes. Both the Spicy Miso Ramen, $14.95, and the Shoyu (Soy Sauce) Ramen, $16.10, lacked the richness and deep flavors I would expect from a good bowl of ramen. And I thought the noodles were slightly overcooked. The chashu pork, however, was very succulent and the soft boiled egg was perfect. I was also not too thrilled with the Chicken Karage, $8.05 - fried chicken cutlets I enjoy and often order with a bowl of ramen when I am with a guest. Every time we travel to smaller town. We tried to go to the local favorites restaurant. This is another local favorites for Japanese ramen. Typical ramen menu. Tonkatsu, Shio, Miso etc. We ordered Tonkatsu as standard and Hokaido seafood ramen style. Taste just average. The seafood one taste fishy not in good way. Tonkatsu one is on salty side. The ramen egg noodle itself is a good chewy ramen. They used the right type. Other than that, the broth taste like instant noodle type. Fulfilling but just ok. The place itself is nice with open kitchen. They have the touchscreen one screen menu for fountain drink plus Hot Water fountain. That's a plus! Rarely seen that in a restaurant. Service is fast. Order upfront, get table tracker them they will deliver it your table. You need to ask for condiments that comes in a portable tray. Not sure why they keep it behind the counter/cashier. read more

Pretty late review, but luckily I remembered! Not going to lie, the place is pretty nice. It's spacious inside and the menu is straight forward. We all got the tonkatsu ramen (spicy) and the broth wasn't bad. It was pretty plain, noodles were very good and the chashu was hit or miss. Mine was nothing but fat, my brother's was way too chewy. It wasn't easy to chew and swallow. Takoyaki and gyoza were really good! Loved the sides more than the ramen to be honest. Their water tasted chemically, I'm not sure what it is since it came from the soda machine(?). I didn't like the taste of it, hopefully they check into it. I would recommend it to those who live in that area, it's pretty far from where I live. But it's worth a try! read more

I finally tried this place and the raving reviews are (mostly) well-deserved. We tried a variety of things: chicken karage, corn croquettes, three different types of ramen soup, and the yaki ramen. First thing's first. This restaurant is like so many others that have amazing dishes but a few to absolutely skip. Skip the corn croquettes. They have very little corn and were comprised mainly of some non-descript creamy cheese. We did not finish them. Also skip the yaki ramen. Maybe it was a fluke, but it was so salty I didn't want a second bite. But this place should be about the ramen right? The ramen was excellent. Both the thin and thick noodles were great. Even leftover the next day, they retained their firmness. Both the pork and the chicken broths were also very good. The seafood was good and the chicken was velvety tender. I got the cha su pork expecting char siu pork. I'm not a fan of pork belly, but that's my own fault. I got a bowl to go and was pleasantly surprised at how well things were packaged. I will be back on a regular basis but stick with the ramen. And now that I know the care they take in packaging, it's a good to go option. read more
