Very casual dining perfect for families. I enjoy coming in the winter for a hot bowl of Ramen. The food is always consistent and a good value for what you get. I ordered the ramen, karaage and takoyaki. You order at the counter and food is taken to your table.

Got a take out order from here for the very first time, and overall, I was content. Plusses: The extra thin noodles order was surprisingly plentiful, and good texture. The extra veggie broth was by far the best I have tasted, with a little tang. I enjoyed dropping some of my noodles there too. The fried rice was hot and tasty, and a good portion as well. Prices were reasonable, and ingredients matched descriptions. The notes I do have: one is definitely the tofu. I have enjoyed tofu for years, in many different forms, but the tofu I had was a bit of a let down. Each piece was deflated inside each bite...like unfortunately, they each lost their texture and potential oomph. Just not fresh and vibrant tasting- the appearance was beautiful though. The veggie rolls were also not quite up to par- just not hot and fresh tasting. All that being said, I will definitely return and order the items that rocked, but I certainly hope to have a better experience, especially tofu-wise.

We really love coming to this spot for Ramen. We always order tonkatsu Ramen and it never disappoints. Their jammy egg is also really good. The staff are very friendly and nice.

I wanted to try their Spicy Miso Ramen because it has thin noodles and also I love Takoyaki. The place is pretty spacious. They have lots of seating. You order at the cashier first. Their menu has a pretty big selection and I like how their ramen has descriptions of what they have and what kind of noodles. They gave me a buzzer and told me it would take 10 mins for my order to come out. They even offered me a tall water glass. They have fountain drinks with the touch screen. It took a bit for my food to come out. They have spices and condiments on the table. They served my ramen out first on a nice tray and bowl with spoon and fork. The employee offered me chopsticks. But I was curious about my Takoyaki, he said it was still being cooked so he checked on that. I understand it's deep fried so it takes more time but wish it came out first for an appetizer. Then he came back with it. I ended up just eating the Takoyaki more than the ramen. The ramen broth was good. But the Takoyaki was amazing. It was fresh and very tasty. Overall I think ramen was good but I definitely will try their other soups.

I feel that the flavor of this ramen restaurant is actually very good. Even though it uses an order first and pick up at the counter by number system, the staff still kindly bring the food to your table. The prices are very reasonable, and both the dining area and the kitchen are very clean. There are also outdoor tables and seating available. Overall, the ramen itself is decent and the edamame is good, but the fried crab is genuinely excellent. 我感覺這家拉麵的味道其實非常不錯，儘管是採用點菜後到櫃檯按照號碼牌領取模式，但是服務生還是非常好的把餐都送到你的桌上。價格非常的不錯，餐廳周圍和廚房都非常乾淨，餐廳外邊也有露天桌椅。最後，拉麵部分中規中矩，毛豆也不錯，但是他的炸蟹肉是真的不錯。

I have the Lins Restaurants app and received the "we miss you" offer of $30 off a $50 order. Unfortunately, it didn't work when we ordered and the app was glitchy. The employee was very patient and tried his best to help. He asked the manager and they couldn't figure it out. They ended up offering the garlic edamame on the house. $7 instead of $30... Our ramen was nice and cozy for the winter weeknight. It's a big portion and I had leftovers. It was 2 meals for me. The jammy egg is the star of the bowl! I'm glad they offer chili oil and condiments to adjust the heat and flavor.

OMG their chicken ramen (shio ramen) is the best in the menu if you do not want to customize something for you. We have tried this place multiple times already including to-go orders. The interior is very clean, even though it's a self ordering place, but I noticed how they clean each table after customers finished and left their place.

Went to Ramen Hayashi on a weekend evening and had a great experience! This is the first ramen spot I've been to that felt more like a casual fast-food style place than a sit-down restaurant. You order at the counter, choose from preset bowls or customize your own, and the food comes out within minutes. I tried the Spicy Miso Ramen, which I'd rate 4/5. It was good overall and definitely satisfied my craving, but it didn't quite stand out as a go-to ramen destination. For $17, I thought the chashu portion could have been more generous, and the broth wasn't as thick or creamy as I expected. Ramen Hayashi is well known for their beautiful presented and flavorful ramen bowls. But today i just need a quick grab and order their charshu rice bowls only. CHARSHU - RICE BOWLS (DONBURI) : I'm a bit dissapointed that their fried rice doesn't have that much flavors. It's slightly sweet and salty. The rice are nicely puffy and formed. The veggies are a bit hard. The charshu is good as I expected. There's a nice crispe on the outside layer. The inside is still soft. It's slighty sweet and salty. The portion size for to-go is a bit small for $12 dollar. The bowl size is small and the rice was not filled all the way to the top. RATE : 2/5 SERVICE : Did a order take out today. They were aiming for 10 to 15 min long but they took longer than the expected time. Friendly service. RATE : 4/5 AMBIANCE : Ambiance is always packed and loud in there. There's limited seating and parking due to how busy they are there. They do have some out door seatings. I wouldn't recommend a partY of 7 and above. They have variety of different chairs and table size so the tables wouldn't connect nicely.

My son who has sensory processing disorder loved the chicken karaage which is a big deal since he only eats a few things in life. It's great that they are small bite size pieces I don't have to cut them in small pieces for him even though he's almost 15, he's choke hazard. As for ramen I like the broth and chashu pork . Not too crazy about the noodles because they don't taste like the authentic ramen noodles, having to grow up in japan I'm super picky about my ramen especially Tonkotsu because I'm from Kyushu island which Tonkotsu originated from. Eggs are too sweet for me but I like the softness of them. It came surprisingly fast using DoorDash. I'll definitely order the chicken karaage again. Tonkotsu ramen can definitely be improved upon. ( I like the noodles from ramen ichiban and brothers ramen better ). Best of luck to this restaurant :-) ! read more

We as a family dined al fresco with covid social distancing in this summer heat. Jin, our server is top notch as he made sure that we were comfortable in the outdoor sociallly distanced dining. The team at Ramen Hayashi looks happy to be there - customers benefit with happy and wonderful service. The person who took our order was patient and friendly. I got me a bowl of Shio ramen with chicken slices. I did not like the chicken texture and soft boiled egg. Everything was great and its a perfect date spot, whether it's the first date or 100th. Great decor like Ramen bowl lights, great menu of ramens and even the ability to make your own ramen from each step on the menu. The potato balls are definitely something you have to try once and now we plan to get them each time we go back. It tastes really authentic and the staff are very nice and attentive. COVID era: This place is simply amazing! For a low cost option, they offer customizability and great flavor! I had the tonkotsu, souffle dessert, and spam musubi. The ramen was so delicious and chock full of toppings. The broth wasn't too salty and the char-su flame broiled as a finishing touch. Outdoor seating was easy and the indoor atmosphere very clean and modern. Physical distancing enforced, hand sanitizer provided, masks required for ordering or while inside. I haven't had ramen in a long time, so I don't know if this review is a little biased. Still, the ramen was quite delicious. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which is typically my go-to for ramen. For me, everything about ramen starts with the egg. Hayashi soft boils their egg, and it was exactly what I expect in a ramen egg. Got the tongkatsu ramen and spicy miso ramen for me and my boyfriend, it wasn't bad overall, i had higher expectations from it based on the reviews but overall it was okay. Me and my boyfriend's ramen both had a weird aftertaste, it was a very bitter and unlikeable taste. I read a previous review that was bad and that person said that the food was tasteless, I'm not sure exactly what food he was tasting, most likely it was that guys lack of taste buds. This food was definitely super tasty. I ordered Ramen (yaki ramen w/chicken) because I had a craving and instant ramen is not an option for me since my gallbladder removal (don't call me out on my S* when I review food I'm not supposed to be eating) and let me tell you this Ramen was so flavorful. I'm going to end up craving it, probably a couple times a month from here on out! My eating partner ordered fried rice with chicken and to my surprise it had edamame inside it which was perfectly cooked and had just a little bit of crunch.(not used to edamame inside my fried rice-WAY better than peas) There was a perfect amount of serving size from each plate that we could easily eat half of each other's food even though this time we didn't. The price was reasonable for the serving size which I'm happy to report because it seems these days the portion is less and the price is more. I am really pleased that I tried this place out and I definitely will be back. I suggest everyone try this place at least once, you won't be sorry! I will add that it did take about 20 minutes for the preparation of our food, which might be a little bit of time for someone in a hurry so definitely don't be in a hurry. I have found that most really good tasting food does take some time and I am definitely patient for good food. read more

Solid for ramen with decent gluten free options. The broth wasn't super rich, but tasted pretty good. Takoyaki was bomb and the edamame was pretty good. We also got the grilled salmon donburi. We had ordered it gluten free but they put wonton strips on it. They were really cool about amending the order and giving us a new order of it when they realized the mistake. The had patio dining. We ate lunch there today. For a fast food store, this is one I will go back to. The Ramen was good, the corn adds a different dimension to the ramen. I suppose a nod to the Fresno State corn. I had the steak ramen which came with a fried egg, also different. My wife had the chicken ramen which had the traditional soy soaked boiled egg. She would rather have had chicken thighs instead of breast, but it was still good. Our food was hot and tasty with many fewer calories than the typical fast food joint. The Asahi beer was cold and exelllent. Another plus for this store. We will go back. read more

I came on their second day of opening and everything was really good! Ordered the regular Tonkotsu ramen and was quite pleased with it! The broth was good and the pork was flavorful! They also give a pretty generous portion! Don't let the non-related 1 star review discourage you guys from trying out their food! We had been so excited to try this place as we see they are putting one in by us in the Marketplace shopping center so we thought we'd go try this location prior to opening of the new location. I love that they have the build your own ramen so you can pick and choose everything you want in it and the way they have the menu set up it makes it really easy to order. The staff here each time we've come have been really friendly and helpful! They let you know a possibly est. wait time before you walk up and place your order. I love the loaded fried chicken gyoza, I am so glad we ordered it the first time because now it is a must every time! I also tried the rock shrimp, it looked a bit different than the pictures however it was still good. It can be hard to get a table inside as they have been busy every time we've gone even on weeknights so if you have a bigger party plan to arrive ahead of time to see if you can get a decent spot for everyone. They also have a nice little outdoor area as well which has a decent amount of seating too! Overall we have never been disappointed, I was given the wrong ramen once but I still ate it and it wasn't a problem at all. Just keep in mind if you have not yet been here, you walk up and place your order they then give you a number and you place it on your table and that's how they bring out the orders. read more

I've been trying to find the best ramen spot since I just moved up here and Lemme tell you, this place is delicious! I ended up ordering a ton of food and the price is so reasonable! I was really craving a rice bowl and Ramen Hayashi did not disappoint. The bowl came out hot and was very tasty. I like that the rice bowls are customizable and they have a variety of options. The staff was great and the atmosphere was quite nice as they had onion and outdoor seating. Overall, I recommend trying this place for sure will come back to try other food on the menu. read more

I travel a lot for work so I have had ramen in major cities like Seattle and SF. Although this place is no where near the same as most of the places I travel to, it is nice to be able to have relatively good ramen back home. The service is decent but the best part is the ambience. It reminds me of a local college restaurant I used to go to when I was at Chico State. read more

We have now been to this restaurant several times and every time the food is consistently delicious! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean. The wait time for food is pretty quick. This will definitely be one of our go to restaurants and we highly recommend it. There is good seating inside and outside. read more

This place is consistently delicious. I've dined and had take-out experience and the quality of the food is the same. It can get busy dining in so make sure you scout a seat prior to ordering. Definitely a must try and it is surprisingly very reasonably priced for such good quality food. A must-visit Ramen place! read more

Ramen Hayashi is one of the best ramen places I have ever been to. The food was great. I got the Donburi rice bowl with shrimp. The service was awesome, and you could order with a QR code. The restaurant felt very modern and comfortable. I have nothing to complain about. I recommend Ramen Hayashi! read more

Overall the service is excellent so they get a four star. The interior design is really well done and they have same and beer which I love. Only bad thing was the ramen wasn't a1 in my grade book average at best but the service cleanliness and interior give them a 4 stars read more

Ramen Hayashi is the best place I have tried in Fresno for ramen. I Also really enjoy their spam musubi and edamame. They are always consistent with the food and their spicy miso ramen is always delicious. read more

This place is great! Best ramen in the area, in my opinion. Tonkotsu flavor is very rich and chashu is the best I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and get the cheesecake. The light texture is SO good. read more
