Ramen Danbo has always been popular, but man did it blow up in popularity since the last time I was here. I used to wait around 30 minutes usually, but now there will be at least an hour wait every night. Although, the staff work really hard to seat and serve everyone as quickly as possible. Ramen Danbo serves Fukuoka-style ramen, which features thinner, straight noodles and is customizable to your taste preferences. I definitely still enjoy their ramen and it's definitely still good, but it's hard to justify a long wait for just ramen. But nonetheless, it is still one of the cheapest meals you can get in Seattle. I don't think I'll be getting Ramen Danbo too often anymore, since their line has gotten really long. I'd be willing to try their vegetarian ramen though, since that's what made them go viral and I want to see how it compares.

Such a small and cute popping Ramen spot! Heard great things and decided to pop in with my friend, and we were not disappointed! You first enter the restaurant and pick up a paper menu with a pencil and fill out what you would like to order at the table :). Makes it easier for the server and yourself to ensure you're getting what you asked for! I opted for the Classic Ramen with firm noodles and added an egg, and I looooved my plate. Amazingly seasoned pork, perfectly jammy egg center, and comforting broth. I enjoyed every single bite! Come try them out! :)

My friend and I were really craving soup/ramen after driving for 2 hours from Mt. Rainier to Seattle. Saw this as one of the best ramen places in Seattle (and it's Fukuoka ramen) so we wanted to try!! I waited in line first while my friend was driving around looking for parking. She ended up finding street parking. We waited in line for about 30-45 mins. While waiting in line we were able to fill out the order slip of what we wanted, so when we got seated they would take the slip and get the order going! The inside is kinda small, there were tables and bar seating. Overall it was really good ramen! I did wish the portion was a bit bigger though. But nonetheless worth the wait :) def will recommend to others and

I got there the second time and it was a Sunday. There was a line but it moved fast. Noodle was as tasty as I remember. 2 thumbs up.

I am STILL thinking about the ramen and gyoza I had from Ramen Danbo a few weeks ago. Yes, you'll have to stand in line, but it does move along pretty well. Plus, it's just a part of the experience. The restaurant is intimate with both counter seating and tables with chairs. We got a counter seat, but in the corner, so we were able to see the action, but not have all the heat / steam from the action where we were seated. I ordered the seasonal tomato ramen and it was incredible - like I said, I'm still thinking about it. It was flavorful and had a good balance of broth to noodles and other toppings. I also ordered the pork gyoza and they were prepared to perfection. This was a solid experience and I only wish I lived closer to a Ramen Danbo to be able to go back and explore the menu more.

Got lucky arriving around 11:45 AM on Sunday with no wait and immediate seating. By the time our food served, OMG the line was already out the door! The ramen noodles were great, I ordered them 'firm' and it was spot on. The biggest surprise was the Chashu Pork & Takana Donburi, absolutely delicious! They really should offer a full portion of this. I will definitely be back next time !"

Ok the broth was delicious. You fill out an order form before you sit. The pork belly was sliced very thin but other than that, there's addons and customizable options. There's usually a long line out the door but I went early before noon

*Vegetarian Foodie Review* Heard about this place from many locals, so we had to try it out. Went on a weekend and there was a huge line. We came back another time on a weekday, still a big line, but a bit shorter. We waited about 45 mins before our turn came. Ordered: 1) Classic Ramen (Regular, Mild, Thick noodles): I wanted to share with my 5 year old. I felt the broth could have been thicker. It was a bit light and not very filling for me, compared to other ramen places I have been to back in California. The flavor was definitely good though. Apparently there was some mix-up, because I felt they gave us medium spicy, my husband's ramen (medium spicy) and ours tasted exactly the same. It ended up being too spicy for my kid. She hardly ate any noodles, complaining it was spicy even after I separated them from the broth. I didn't complain to the restaurant since they were super busy that day, and honestly it was almost 10PM and we were starving and out of patience. 2) Classic Ramen (Regular, Medium Spicy, Thick noodles) 3) Vegan Gyoza: This was good. My 5 year old finished it all. 4) Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream: We loved it. We got 2 pieces in one order and savored every bite. The restaurant had limited seating and had typical ramen place vibes. The servers weren't very attentive; we kept trying to find someone who could help us at multiple instances. They seemed super busy and short-staffed. So not a great experience in terms of service, but for the food I would give a solid 4/5.

Came here 6 PM on a Monday, I had a 5-10 minute wait so guess we got super lucky! I'm not a ramen girl, so it has to be a damn good ramen to convert me. I ordered a miso ramen and my parents ordered the tonkatsu ramen. As someone from the Bay Area, I was so surprised by the richness of the ramen and it definitely beats some of my usual spots. Each bowl was ~$15 and a smaller bowl, so would definitely advise getting an extra batch of noodles. The chashu is melt in your mouth tender. The broth wasn't very salty or over complicated itself with a burst of spices, but highlighted the simplicity of a good ramen, tasting the long simmer of the pork. My dad was honestly pretty pissed circling around the area for an hour for parking, but said it was all worth it, even waiting in a long line.

One of the best Ramen I have tried, it's worth the wait in you're in Seattle, it can get very busy where the line is out the door and wrapped all the way inside, customizable ramen, flavorful, fresh ramen noodles... bomb diggity, a must try forreal, won't disappoint, left satisfied after the long wait, would come back if the line isn't too long

    Jerry C.

Always a long line outside for a good reason! You can essentially customized every aspect of your ramen from the ramen thickness to the the flavor. Overall the broth is light and refreshing! Even though line can be long, turnaround is fairly quick. Definitely worth a try!

I was sold once I saw Fukuoka Tonkotsu style ramen. I've had this location bookmarked to visit and finally was near where I was staying. This place is busy both sit down, takeout, or food delivery. During my stay it never slowed for a moment. I was glad to see that the rope lines out front were empty as was able to be seated quickly. Order the traditional Tonkotsu ramen with a Sapporo draft. Service was friendly and helpful. Ramen was quick to my table. No more then I received my draft the ramen followed shortly after. I love the menu choices on broth, noodles, and toppings. Giving folks like me who like a strong broth a chance to order it that way. My only disappointment was that the bowl had a bottom. Yum! Thank you Ramen Danbo I will be back.

Ramen DANBO is a machine-they're so busy they have a hyper-efficient way of lining up and ordering. No reservations allowed! It may seem rigid, but I guess they have their reasons given the huge lines for their Fukuoka-style Kyushu Hakata Tonkotsu ramen. You order by taking a slip of paper and marking down your selections with a pencil. I got their classic ramen with the thick noodles and standard selection otherwise. I also got to try the season ramen (curry ramen) with the thin noodles. They were both so good that I had to get kaedama - another batch of noodles to add to the broth of both dishes to soak up all of the remaining flavor bomb. The classic ramen broth is rich without being overly unctuous. Of course, if you want more, there's ninniku-dare on the table you for you to add. It's a garlic ramen condiment made from a paste of lard and garlic, cooked until barely golden so the bite of the garlic is tempered. The two slices of Chashu are thin so you're not overloaded with pork fat. They're tender and almost melt in your mouth. The curry ramen has a flavorful curry broth (not roux) that the thin noodles soak up like a wick or a paintbrush. The ramen egg has a just set yolk and tender white. I actually prefer the thin noodles as it conveys the broth better (at least, my opinion). I'm definitely coming back.

Ask the Community - Ramen Danbo

    Is this restaurant Wheelchair accessible?

    Yes

    Do they allow pets?

    No, only service animals.

    Does Ramen Danbo use MSG?

I hope so. Msg is delish.

Do they offer gluten free options?

No - when I called in, their system explicitly said they don't offer any type of GF noodles.

    Has indoor dining reopened?

    Yes, at 25% capacity!

Do you have dine in now?

    Yes

I have been here once before but recently I have had difficulties getting a hold of the restaurant on their phone line. Anyone else having this issue? We called multiple times a couple weeks ago around 6. Are the opening and closing times correct?

Indoor dining is shut down right now so maybe that's why they aren't answering. Pre shut down: they were open for lunch 11 am- 5 pm. But you can still order from them on Uber Eats from 11 am- 10:45 pm now.

Is there any other meat based broth than pork?

Yes - they have chicken and beef as well.

    Is there parking?

    No, it's street parking.

Do they have a gluten free noodle option? Looks like the noodles are flour based-is there a rice based noodle?

They just started having GF noodles as an option!

Is the broth made from fish oil? I am allergic but still want to try this place and I'm hoping I can get regular broth not vegetarian

If you have an allergy I would DEFINITELY call the restaurant to get a proper answer. Don't rely on random people from yelp. That being said, I believe they use lard not fish oil to make their broth rich. You can customize everything at this place.…

Is the vegan ramen broth nut based? What is it made from?

It is a mushroom based broth. There is a vegan milk substitute added that may be almond milk.
